Ernest A. Desautel
October 18, 2009

Ernest A. Desautel, 51, passed Sunday with his loving family by his side.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of Irene (Johnson) Desautel of Central Falls and the late Ernest Desautel.

He had been employed by Electric Boat for many years and then worked for Bamsi-STI. Ernie was an avid sports fan and coached various youth sports.

Besides his mother he is survived by a daughter, Allison Lachapelle of Woonsocket. Eight siblings, David and wife Emily of Cumberland, Thomas Desautel of Central Falls, Michael and wife Susan of Cumberland, Jeffrey and wife Ana of Pawtucket, Earl and wife Tina of Seekonk, Scott and wife Sharon of Lincoln, Debra Beaudoin and husband Eugene of Central Falls and Kathleen Bailey and husband Karl of Johnston as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours Wednesday 5-8pm

Clara Sullivan
October 19, 2009

Clara Sullivan, 73, passed away peacefully Monday evening at the Miriam Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Sullivan. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Ethel (Dawson) McNeil. Clara is survived by four Children, Joseph P. Sullivan of East Providence, Mary T. Case of Pawtucket , Dennis M. Sullivan of Warwick, and Kelly C. Sullivan of Pawtucket, Thirteen grandchildren, Crystal and Sandra Woodman, Jacqueline , Julie, Jacob, Kayla, Joann-Katrina, Kristie, Karissa Sullivan, Sean Egan and Edwin Rainey, Shanna and Shawna Cardarelli, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late A. Joann M. Sullivan.

The arrangements are entrusted to the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI, where family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-7 PM. Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:45am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, 103 Pine Street, Pawtucket. Burial will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in her memory to Pawtucket Animal Shelter, care of Pawtucket Police Department, 122 Roosevelt Ave., Pawtucket, RI 02860

Margaret J. Lee
October 19, 2009

Margaret J. Lee, 80, of West Lawn Ave, passed October 19th 2009.

She was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Margaret (Morris) Lee.

She is survived by three brothers, Edward, Frank and David Lee.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10am in St. Maria Goretti Church, Power Rd, Pawtucket, Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Preston Jefferies
October 20, 2009

Preston Jefferies, 49, passed October 20th.

Born in Providence, he was the son of Claude and Dorothy (Harris) Jefferies.

Besides his parents he is survived by 4 brothers, Claude, Andrew, Robert and Calvin Jefferies, 7 sisters, Doris, Brenda, Cheryl, and Vanessa Jefferies, Denise Baysen, Diane Boakai and Patricia Calcione, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and dear friends.

Calling hours will be held Monday at 10am from Mount Zion Church, Cahill St, Providence followed by a service at 11am. Burial will follow.

Arrangements are by the Keefe Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Carmen Morris
October 20, 2009

Carmen Morris , (Nene de nha Lota), passed away the 20th of October at 2 am.

She leaves behind her only daughter, Maria Filomena Pinto Benros known as Meek, four grandchildren, Ricardo Jorge Benros, Filomena Benros Puerini, Dulcidia Benros and Gardenia Benros. She also has four great grandchildren, Iony Benros Freitas, Eric Benros, Shannon Leah Puerini and Divanah Dietrich Benros.

She was much loved and will be dearly missed by her whole family and everybody who knew her.

She was 101 years old when she passed away.

Calling hours will be held Friday from 6-8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.

George M. Holland
October 24, 2009

George M. Holland, 29, passed October 24th.

He was the son of Vincent Clement and Diane Holland and the grandson of Maurice "Reese" Clement and the late Rachel Babbs.

He is survived by his eight children, George, Jamay, Jarell, Tylianna, JaKhai, JaRiah, Dhyanne and JaLiel Holland all of Providence. He is also survived by 9 siblings, David Strother, Carlos Smith, Arthur Logan and Willie Rathbone of Cranston, RI, Brenda Smith of Santa Monica, CA, Allen Smith of East Providence, RI, Leah Seton and Noella Smith from Providence, RI and Allegra Schell from Hagerstown, MD, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Friday at 10am followed by a service at 11am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI. Burial will follow.

Robert F. "Bob" Berthiaume
October 30, 2009

Robert F. "Bob" Berthiaume, 84, passed October 30th with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Therese D. (Cote) Berthiaume. They would have been married 61 years in November.

Born in Providence, the son of the late Alfred P. and Anna (Breton) Berthiaume.

He lived most of his life in Cumberland before moving to Central Falls in 1981.

He was a WWII Navy Veteran.

Bob was a truck driver for the J.H. Lynch and Sons of Cumberland for 20 years, a member of the Teamsters Local 251.

He previously worked for McKee Bros. Oil Company, also of Cumberland, as a burner service man for many years.

Bob was a Communicant of St. Matthew Church.

He was a member of the Royal Travelers Group and Senior Citizens Bowling League of East Providence.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons and three daughters, Norman Berthiaume of Coventry, Peter Berthiaume of Woonsocket, Robert Berthiaume of Gloucester, Janet Kuritz of Spring Hill, FL, Roberta Burns of Cumberland and Ann Blackmar of Warwick, fifteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of, Pauline Blake of Rumford, Ellen Houle of Cumberland, Rochelle Lemere of FL, Betty Ann Lyon of Rehoboth, the late Doris Bissonnette, Annette Lepire and Alice Cloutier.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 4-7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30am in St. Matthew Church, Dexter St, Central Falls. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Sr. Bea's Ministry c/o 1030 Dexter St, Central Falls, RI 02863.
