Ida Roy

Ida Roy, 98, formerly of Wilfrid Manor, passed away Thursday, March 26th at the Holiday Retirement Center, Manville.
She was a lifelong resident of Central Falls.
Ida was the daughter of the late Achille and Angelina (Labrecque) Roy and was a textile worker most of her life.
She is survived by her nephew, Roger Lavoie of Cumberland and nieces Pauline Lemieux of Harrisville, Yvette Marchand of South Attleboro, MA, Rosemarie Brister of Ohio and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was the sister of the late Emile Roy, Oscar Roy, Juvenal Roy, Leo Roy, Louis Roy, Alfred Roy, Marie Lavoie, Leonide King and Geraldine Meunier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday in St. Matthew Church, Dexter St, Central Falls at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will begin Saturday morning at 8am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Ida’s memory may be made to Sr. Bea’s Ministry, 1030 Dexter St, Central Falls RI 02863.
Richard E. Pina Sr.

Richard E. Pina Sr., 73, of Smithfield Ave, died peacefully Tuesday at home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Yvette (Beaulieu) Pina. They have been married for 54 years.
Carol Cable had employed him for 20 years before retiring.
He was a member of the Lincoln Democratic Committee.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Richard E. Pina Jr. of Central Falls and Valerien Pina of Pawtucket, Two daughters, Edna Anzevino of Lincoln and Geraldine Gaspar of Cumberland, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edward Church, at 10:30am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends invited, calling hours Thursday 5-8pm.
Richard "Rick" Gustafson

Richard "Rick" Gustafson, 60 of Casselberry, FL, was killed in a plane crash off the coast of Northern California. He was the husband of Judi Gustafson.
Born in New Jersey, he was the son of the late Henry and Eunice (Christianson). Rick was a die-hard Miami Dolphin Fan, Biker, Golfer and loved to cook. Graduate of Hialeah High School, Hialeah, Florida, 1967. He served in the United States Army 1968-1972 and was a 101st Airborne Paratroopers.
Rick is survived by one daughter, Sheila "Lotti" Jenkins of Hollywood, Florida, formerly of Pawtucket, RI. His brother Robert Gustafson, of Boynton Beach, FL, two grandsons, Edward T. Vargulish III and Steven Jenkins, both of Hollywood, FL, one nephew, Jeremy Handle of Cleveland, OH.
There will be a Remembrance Memorial on Saturday, March 21st at Victorio's, 300 Dog Track Rd., Longwood, FL from 6-10pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 22nd at Unity Church of Christianity, 4801 Clarcona Ocoee Rd. Orlando, FL at 2pm. Local arrangements by the Keefe Funeral Home.
Lucille A. Landry

Lucille A. Landry, 90, passed peacefully Friday. She was the wife of the late James Landry.
Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Frank and Alma (Couture) Morin.
She was one of the first women hired into the Bakers Union in RI, working at Tip Top Bakery of Pawtucket. After retiring, she worked for many years for the Notre Dame and Memorial Hospitals. Lucille volunteered at St. Jude Church and was involved in fundraising for Fr. John Morin OMI in Haiti for many years.
She is survived by four sons, James E. of Arlington, VA, Michael A. of Lincoln, Steven J. of Pembroke Pines, FL, and Thomas J. Landry of Lincoln. A brother, Fr. John Morin, OMI of CT and a sister, Gabrielle Rattey of Central Falls, four grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and several other caring family members and friends.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 10am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew Church, Dexter St, at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours Monday 6-8pm. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Oscar J. Champagne Jr., 81, of Earle Street, died
Tuesday at Mt. St. Francis Health Center. He was the husband of the late Laurel V. Champagne. They had been married for 61 years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Oscar and Lena (Malo) Champagne.
Oscar was a driver salesman for Arnold’s Bakery of Lincoln for 13 years. He then worked for the former Gorman’s Bakery and then was employed by Nissan’s Bakery of Central Falls for 30 years retiring in 1998. He was a past president of the Central Falls Little League for 10 years and was a volunteer for St. Matthew’s Church Helping Hands Program and Charity Drive.
He is survived by two sons, Dennis O. Champagne of Swansea, MA and Michael A. Champagne of Dallas, TX. Three daughters, Patrice E. Fitzgibbons of Central Falls, Jo-Ann Gauthier of Somerset, MA and Dawn M. Pawlitschek of Cumberland, a brother, Robert A. Champagne of Pawtucket, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Loreen A. Hakeem.
His funeral will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, with a mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew Church, Dexter St., at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Mary Ferrante, 70, passed peacefully Monday surrounded by her family at the Woonsocket Health Center.
She was the wife of the late Thomas L. Ferrante.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of Anthony P. Santos of Pawtucket and the late Mary (Pappas) Santos.
Mary dedicated her life to her family.
She is survived by four sons, Thomas L. Ferrante of CT, John M. Ferrante of Exeter, David A. Ferrante of Woonsocket, and Robert L. Ferrante of Pawtucket, three daughters, Vincenzina “Chinzy” Ferrante of Woonsocket, Mary A. Ferrante of Cumberland and Patricia A. Ferrante of Warren, five sisters, Dolores Smith, Georgianna Lepucki and Barbara Serring all of Pawtucket, Dolores “Blondie” Johnson of West Warwick and Betty Nadeau of Warwick, a brother, Anthony P. Santos Jr. of Pawtucket, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John Pappas and Edward Jollie.
Calling Hours will be held Saturday from 6 to 8pm, followed by a prayer service from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln. Burial will be private.
Paul J. Dixon

Paul J. Dixon, 57, of Hand St, died Sunday at the Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket.
Born in Providence, a son of Olga (Theoharris) Dixon of East Providence and the late Thomas G. Dixon. He was the fiancé of Denise Tetreault of Pawtucket.
Paul was a Master Technician for Nissan of Smithfield for 13 years.
Besides his mother and fiancé he is survived by a son, Adam Dixon, and a daughter, Sarah Dixon, both of Pawtucket, two brothers, Thomas S. Dixon and Stephen L. Dixon of Pawtucket, a granddaughter, iliana and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Saturday from 11am to 2pm followed by a service in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.

Eleanor C. Coughlin

Eleanor C. Coughlin, 90, formerly of Nathanael Ave., Pawtucket passed away peacefully on March 7th at Epoch on Blackstone Blvd., Providence. A life long resisident of RI, she was the wife of the late David A. Coughlin, Sr. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Frederick A. and Frances L. (Mattingly) Devanney and Eleanor C. (Parkinson) Devanney.
A graduate of St. Mary’s School, Pawtucket; Hope High School, Providence; and Rhode Island College of Education with post graduate work at Providence College, she taught in the Pawtucket School system for over 30 years. She also taught Americanization in the 1960s.
She was a president of the St. Maria Goretti Women’s Club, member of the Third Order of St. Dominic at Providence College, and the Legion of Mary.
She is survived by her sons; Attorney David A. Coughlin of Pawtucket, Joseph M. Coughlin of Providence, Gregory F. Coughlin of Pawtucket, John S. Coughlin, Esq. of Cranston, Thomas J. Coughlin of Providence, and Vincent E. Coughlin of Pawtucket. She was predeceased by her sons Frederick J. and William R. Coughlin. She is survived by sixteen grandchildren. She was the sister of William J. Devanney, DDS, and John A. Devanney, Ph.D., and the late Frances Teresa Devanney, Mary (Devanney) Haggerty,R.N., Frederick Devanney, and Lt. Joseph A. Devanney, RISP.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home. Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maria Goretti Church, 155 Power Rd, Pawtucket.
