STEPHEN D. FAIOLA
Stephen D. Faiola of Westerly, passed away June 9, 2004, in the ICU at The Westerly Hospital.
Born Nov. 12, 1951, in Westerly, he was the beloved husband of Jo Anna (Giordano) Faiola.
He was a loving husband and son.
He leaves behind his mother, Ruth (Hurwitz) Faiola; brother, Mark Faiola; sister Marilyn and brother-in-law, William Whitebone of Holbrook, Mass.; an extended circle of friends and family; and his beloved cat "Fuzz."
He was predeceased by his father, Emilio Faiola.
Mr. Faiola was employed by the Bradford Dyeing Association. He was a member of the Westerly Elks, the Calabrese Club and the Pawcatuck Workmen's Club.
He enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter and was an avid sports fan. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
Services will be held at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly, on Friday at 10 a.m. Visiting hours are omitted. Burial will follow immediately at New Fernwood Cemetery, South Kingstown.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Westerly Animal Shelter, 5 Union St., Westerly, RI 02891.
LINDA P. LAVALLEE
Linda P. Lavallee, 62, of Ashaway Road, died Monday at home. She was the former wife of the Rev. Donald A. Lavallee.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Edmund E. and Virginia ( Macomber ) Pattison, she had lived in Cranston and Westerly for the last 7 years.
Mrs. Lavallee was a legal assistant at a law office in Wakefield.
She volunteered at the WARM Shelter. She was associated with the Church of the Holy Spirit in Charlestown, and enjoyed gardening and doing puzzles.
Mrs. Lavallee is survived by her former husband ( in Fla.) and one son, David R. Lavallee of North Kingstown.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 7, at 7 p.m. in The Church of the Holy Spirit, 4150 Old Post Road, Charlestown. Contributions to the church or the WARM Shelter will be appreciated.
SUSIE M. LAUDONE
Susie M. (Raymond) Laudone, 79, beloved wife of Louis F. Laudone Sr., of 4 Jay St., Westerly, died at her home January 16, 2004.
She was born in Willimantic, Conn., daughter of the late Mariano and Antonia (DeMarco) Raymond, and had been employed at the former Granite Drug Store as a secretary.
Mrs. Laudone was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Westerly, and was a member of the Emblem Club, as well as being an accomplished cook and a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was also an avid reader.
Surviving, in addition to her beloved husband, are two sons, Louis F. Laudone, Jr. and Stephen M. Laudone, both of Westerly; a brother, Valentino Raymond of Willimantic, Conn.; a sister, Sally Lombardo of Westerly; four grandchildren, Stephanie Laudone, Joseph Laudone, Kyle Laudone and Russell Laudone, all of Westerly; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, 1-4 p.m., in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly, R.I.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly, R.I. Interment will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.

JOSEPH J. MCGUIRE
Joseph John McGuire, 75, beloved husband of Celina (Lenihan) McGuire and son of the late Margaret (Smith) and James F. McGuire, died at The Westerly Hospital January 16, 2004.
Joe was born in Pawcatuck, Conn., March 29, 1928. He graduated from St. Michael's Parochial School, from Stonington High School in 1945, and St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas, in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army for two years from 1945 to 1947, stationed in Alaska.
Joe was employed at the Moore Company for 39 years, retiring as director of purchasing in 1990. Joe was an avid baseball player and fan, playing all-star baseball in high school and college. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies following his graduation from college.
Joe played in the Industrial Twilight League in Westerly and coached the first Pawcatuck Little League championship team, St. Michael's. He was a lifelong Red Sox fan.
Joe enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and abroad. He was very active in Pro-Life causes. He was a lifelong parishioner and communicant at St. Michael Church in Pawcatuck.
Most importantly, Joe loved his family and home. He maintained selfless love and devotion to his wife, children and grandchildren, for whom he received great joy. Joe was deeply loved by his family and he will be dearly missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife, Celina (Lenihan) McGuire, his daughter, MaryAnn McGuire, his son, Kevin McGuire, his son, Father Bonaventura Maria FFI (Stephen McGuire), his daughter, Ann McGuire Toppino and son-in-law, John Toppino, his daughter Kathleen McGuire Tanner and son-in-law Michael Tanner, his son Thomas McGuire and daughter-in-law Jena McGuire, and his daughter Kristin McGuire Basso and son-in-law Stephen Basso; eight grandchildren; two brothers, James McGuire and William McGuire; two sisters, Eleanor Plante and Margaret White; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Mildred Harmon and Patricia Gavitt.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 1-4 p.m. in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly, R.I.

VIRGINIA RUTH JACOBSON
Virginia Ruth (Pendleton) Jacobson, 83, of 77 Potter Hill Road, Westerly, wife of William E. Jacobson Sr., died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at The Westerly Hospital.
Born on May 13, 1920, in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Gladys (Church) Pendleton.
Mrs. Jacobson was a lifelong resident of Potter Hill. She was employed as a nurse's aide at several local nursing homes for many years and was a former member of the Daughters of America.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jacobson will be sadly missed by a daughter, Cleo Jacobson; a daughter and son-in-law, Dale and Harris Edwards; and a son and daughter-in-law, William and Michelle Jacobson Jr., all of Westerly. She is also survived by five grandchildren, D'Ann Edwards, Rachel Edwards, Jason Edwards, Cory Jacobson and his wife Justine, and Ryan Jacobson, all of Westerly. Mrs. Jacobson also leaves her beloved cat, Freddy.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, in the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
