Henry A. Quinn, 77
Jamestown died peacefully with family by his side in his winter home in Vero Beach, Fla., after a long and brave battle with nonHodgkin's lymphoma. He was the husband of Alicia (Parente) Quinn for nearly 30 years.

Lucille C. (Caton) Young, 89, of Cole Street, formerly of Sea Cliff, N.Y., died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late John W. Young.
Norma (Whaley) Smyth
Norma (Whaley) Smyth, of Friendship Street, formerly of Narragansett, died Sunday, April 23, 2006 at home with her family. She was the wife of Frederick C.B. Smyth.
Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late H. Clifford and Elizabeth (Doherty) Whaley.
Mrs. Smyth graduated from South Kingstown High School. She was formerly of Old Pt. Judith Road, Narragansett. After graduation she went to work for the New England Telephone Company in Narragansett and also for the Jamestown office as an operator. She later worked as a telephone operator for the state of Rhode Island at the Ladd School, retiring from there. Mrs. Smyth was a former Cub Scout, Brownie and Girl Scout leader and belonged to the Conanicut Grange. She was a communicant of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Jamestown.
Besides her husband she is survived by her children Barbara A. Whitaker and Frederick C.B. Smyth Jr., both of Jamestown, and Susan J. Smyth of Newport; her granddaughters Melanie Whitaker, Kristin Gouveia, Megan Jones, and Sarah Smyth; her great grandchildren Kelsey Gouveia, Rileigh Gouveia and Aidan Jones, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Smyth was the sister of the late Lloyd L. Whaley, Clifford M. Whaley, Laura E. Church, Margaret I. Cahoone, Marion L. Kissick, and Madeline J. Champlin. Her funeral will be at the convenience of the family.

Marianne C. 'Bonnie' Hall, 63
Marianne C. "Bonnie" Hall, 63, of Spanker Street died Friday, May 12, 2006.
She was the loving wife and high school sweetheart of Robert J. Hall.
Born in Atlantic City, N.J., on March 30, 1943, Mrs. Hall was a daughter of the late Arthur A. and Anne (Specht) Mossey. She was a healthcare worker for 12 years.
A parishioner of Saint Mark Church, she was also a of the Jamestown Women's Club and former Business and Professional Women's Club of Jamestown, for which she served as vice president and treasurer.
Mrs. Hall was the beloved mother of Glen A. Hall of Middletown; Robert A. Hall of Surprise, Ariz.; Robyn J. Hall of Patterson, N.J.; and Lauren M. Bogensberger of Succasunna, N.J. She is also survived by her grandchildren Justin Hall, Danielle Hall, Jamie Baumann, Aaron Hall, Chelsea Bogensberger, Lindsey Bogensberger, Taylor Bogensberger, Corey Bogensberger, Robert James "R.J." Hall, Bailey Hall, and Abigail Hall; her brothers Wayne Mossey of R.I.; and Brian Mossey, Gerard Mossey, and Joseph Mossey, and her sister Nancy White, all of New Jersey.
She was the sister of the late Gary Mossey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will was celebrated yesterday at St. Mark Church. Burial was private.

Catherine Love Coburn, 96
Catherine Love Coburn, 96, of Harborhill in East Greenwich, died May 30, 2006 after a brief illness at Kent County Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Melvin L. Coburn.
Born in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on July 27, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Margaret Henderson Love. A former resident of Longmeadow, Mass., family and friends knew her by the nicknames Mimi, Ginger, and Kitty.
A graveside service and Christian burial took place June 2 at Cedar Cemetery in Jamestown.
During Coburn's school years in Murfreesboro and when she attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, she studied violin, enjoyed playing the piano by ear, and played team sports. Being surrounded by music played an important part in her life. She often played the piano at family parties to accompany hearty singing. Prior to her marriage in 1932, she was the recreation director for the town of Dalton, Mass., and was previously playground director in Ybor City, Tampa, Fla. She went on to pursue her love of gardening, flower arranging, and collecting antiques.
As an empty nester Mrs. Coburn became a full partner in an estate sale business in Springfield, Mass. She was a founding member of the Longmeadow Gardeners and a past president of the Springfield Garden Club. She was awarded numerous Best of Show and blue ribbons for floral arrangements at regional flower shows. She called herself a dirt gardener and studied to be a flower show judge. She was also an active member of the South Congregational Church of Springfield, where she served as a president of its Women's Guild. Mrs. Coburn was responsible for the floral decorations in the church sanctuary and altar on many religious holy days. Being an avid Red Sox fan for years, she knew all the players' names and stats.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Love Coburn Clarke (Jinny) of Jamestown, and Little River, S.C.; her son, Richard Henderson Coburn of Poway, Calif.; her grandchildren Robert M. Clarke Jr. of Badin, N.C., and Jamestown; Martha C. Kinnecom of Badin, N.C., and Englewood, Fla.; Margaret E. Coburn and Richard I. Coburn both of Poway; her great grandchildren Catherine Elizabeth Kinnecom of Cambridge, Mass.; Kimberly M. Kinnecom of Badin, N.C.; and Kelly C. Coleman and Abby Coleman both of North Kingstown, R.I.
She was the grandmother of the late Jolie Love Clarke Coleman, and the sister of the late Clifford Love Jr. and Martha J. Love.

Mary Faria Botelho
Middletown - Mary (Faria) Botelho, 92, of 23 Livingston Place, Middletown, died Saturday evening, March 6, 2004 at the St. Clare Home, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Joseph Botelho.
Born in Middletown, RI on April 6, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Frances (Moitoza) Faria.
Mrs. Botelho was a communicant of Jesus Saviour Church and was a member and past secretary of the Rosary Sodality. She was a tireless maker of Malasada for events at the church. She was a 1930 graduate of Rogers High School, Newport.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary F. Lopes of Middletown, RI; one brother, Frank Faria of Portsmouth, RI; two sisters, Carrie Rose of Dighton, MA, and Rose Peters of Bridgewater, MA; one grandson, Henry Lopes Jr.; two granddaughters, Karen Ripa and Kathleen Bogaars; one great grandson, Andrew Ripa; and two great granddaughters, Ashley Ripa and Allison Ripa.
She was the sister of the late Tony Faria, Manuel Faria, Joseph Faria, Frances Medeiros Jennie Luiz and Annie Oliver.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, Mar. 10, at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown.

Natalie Louise Rodriques
Middletown - Natalie Louise (Dennis) Rodriques, 82, of the Grand Islander Health Care Center, 333 Green End Avenue, Middletown, formerly of 40 Alicia Circle, Tiverton, died Friday, March 5, 2004 at the Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI.
Born in Portsmouth, RI on September 25, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Richmond C. and Maude N. (Sowle) Dennis.
Mrs. Rodriques had worked as a telephone operator with the New England Telephone Company from 1949 until 1961. From 1961 until 1964 she had worked as a receptionist for Butler Chevrolet of East Providence, RI. She had also worked as a receptionist from 1971 until 1973 at Lyons Furniture of Fall River, MA.
She is survived by a son Edward A. Almeida Jr., of Auburn, MA, two daughters Norma Silvia Portsmouth, RI, and Ann Almeida Comstock Park, MI, a half brother Alexander Allan III of Spring Hope, NC, two step brothers and one step sister, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Richmond C. Dennis Jr., and step sister of the late Barbara Spaulding.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2004, at 10:00AM, in the Portsmouth Cemetery, Turnpike Avenue, Portsmouth.

Ronald A. Pacheco
Portsmouth, RI - Ronald A. Pacheco, 67, of 63 Cottage Avenue Portsmouth, RI, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at St. Anne's Hospital Fall River, MA.
He was the husband of Judith A. (Oliveira) Pacheco.
Born in Fall River, MA on November 3, 1936, he was the son of the late Antone N. and Irene (Rocha) Pacheco Forand.
Mr. Pacheco was a 1957 graduate of Rogers High School. He worked for 50 years as a commerical fisherman. Mr. Pacheco was a communicant of St. Anthony´s Church in Portsmouth, RI.
Besides his wife of 45 years he is survived by a son Nicholas A. Pacheco of Portsmouth, RI, two daughters Lorri J. Gong of Corte Madera, CA, and Judith A. Pacheco of Merrimack, NH, two sisters Irene Jones of West Seneca, NY, and Dorothy Foster of Fairfax, CA, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Randal J. Pacheco.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2004, at 10:00AM, in St. Anthony's Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
Burial will be private.

Eugene Coulter
Middletown, RI - Eugene Coulter, 51, of 24 Buck Road Middletown, RI, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at Rhode Island Hospital Providence, RI.
He was the husband of Frances A. (Dorsey) Coulter of Middletown, RI.
Born in Harrison Township, PA on February 9, 1953, he was the son of Alberta (Adamik) Coulter Smith of Apollo, PA and the late Arthur L. Coulter.
Mr. Coulter attended Roger Williams University and graduated from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, NH. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. After the Navy Mr. Coulter became an attorney, practicing privately. Mr. Coulter was a coach and manager for the Newport, Middletown and Portsmouth Little League. He was an Assistant Attorney General under Arlene Violet, Justice of the Peace for Newport County and was also the Chief Legal Council for the Rhode Island Department of Transportation.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his son Sean-Michael Dorsey Coulter of Friedburg, Germany and currently Baghdad, Iraq, his daughter Jessica-Patrice Dorsey Simes of Scott Air Force Base, IL, his brother David Coulter of Lower Burrell, PA, his sister Lisa Ann Coulter of Vandergrift, PA, and three grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Friday, March 12, 2004, at 3:00PM in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
Burial will be private.

Catherine Mary Gunning
Portsmouth, RI - Catherine Mary (Hosking) Gunning, 83, of 22 Sherman Avenue Portsmouth, died Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.
She was the wife of Robert F. Gunning of Portsmouth, RI whom she was married to for 62 years.
Mrs. Gunning was born in Fall River, MA on September 15, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Helena (Downs) Hosking.
Mrs. Gunning was a member of Saint Barnabas Church and served on the Liturgy Committee. She was a former leader with Girl Scouts of America. Mrs. Gunning enjoyed her vegtable garden and playing the piano. Mrs. Gunning was an executive secretary for the former Cherry & Webb in Fall River, MA and then she was the church organist at Saint Barnabas from it´s beginning until 1990. She was also the choir director at Saint Barnabas Church.
She is survived by her husband Robert F. Gunning of Portsmouth, RI, her son Thomas P. Gunning of Portsmouth, RI, and her daughter Patricia C. Gunning of Acton, MA, She also leaves 2 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 12, 2004 at 10:00am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Fall River.
