ROSE LUTZ - Providence
ROSE LUTZ, 86, a resident of the Elmhurst Extended Care Facility, 50 Maude St., died Monday at the care facility. She was the wife of the late Morris Lutz.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., a daughter of the late Louis and Ida Greenblatt, she lived in Providence since 1994, previously living in Charleston, S.C.
She had been a member of B'nai B'rith, Deborah Hospital and Kingsway Jewish Center, all in Brooklyn.
She leaves two daughters, Barbara Gerstenblatt of Narragansett and Gloria Greifer of Farmingdale, N.Y.; a son, Dr. Myron Lutz of Charleston, S.C.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service took place yesterday at New Montefiore Cemetery, Farmingdale.

MARY FERRARO - Providence
MARY FERRARO, 95, formerly of Brighton Street, died Monday at the Mansion Nursing Home, Central Falls. She was the wife of the late John Ferraro.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Sebastiano Lombardi and Rose (Bellino) Lombardi, she lived in Providence most of her life.
She leaves two daughters, Marie Liberati of Cranston and Elaine Thompson of Attleboro; three sisters, Frances Petracca, Elena Lepre and Yolanda Lotito, all of Cranston; two brothers, John Lombardi of Cranston and Joseph Lombardi in Arkansas; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was sister of the Peter Lombardi, Laura Rossi and Jennie Lombardi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Arrangements by the Historic Berarducci Home.

WILLIAM B. AMORAL - Rehoboth
WILLIAM B. AMORAL, 69, of Coogan Court, West Warwick, formerly of Rehoboth, a quality controller at Ames department store for many years, retiring in 1995, died Tuesday at Kent County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Rehoboth, a son of the late William M. and Mary L. (Bettencourt) Amoral, he lived in West Warwick for two years, previously living in Rehoboth.
He leaves three daughters, Cheryl Klemas of Revere, Mass., Lynn Heckbert of West Greenwich and Joanne Amoral of Marblehead, Mass.; a sister, Anna Ribeiro of Rehoboth; two brothers, John Amoral of Tenafly, N.J., and Raymond Amoral of Rehoboth; and two granddaughters.
The funeral and burial will be private.

IRENE A. LARKIN - Smithfield
IRENE A. LARKIN, 72, of Riverview Avenue, an assembler for Mine Safety Appliance for 22 years, died yesterday at Cortland Place Health Facility. She was the wife of the late Joseph T. Larkin.
Born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Vincent W. and Susan (Marcinka) Miklusis, she lived in Smithfield for many years. Mrs. Larkin was a member of the Smithfield Emblem Club.
She leaves two sons, Richard J. and Kenneth P. Larkin, both of Smithfield; a sister, Patricia A. Freed of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister, Bertha Burns; two brothers, Rock Miklusis and Vyto Miklusis; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Philip Church, Putnam Avenue, Greenville. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.

MARGARET H. LIMA - South Kingstown
MARGARET H. LIMA, 61, of 108 Littlepond Rd., Wakefield, office manager for Tuckertown Village for five years, retiring four years ago, died yesterday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of John Lima Jr.
Born in East Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph V. and Lucy A. (Silva) Silva, she was a Wakefield resident for 36 years.
A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Mrs. Lima had taught ceramics and operated the former Margo Lane Ceramics.
She was a member of the Ocean State Ceramic League.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Stephanie Roberts of Wakefield; a son, John J.G. Lima of East Greenwich; and a grandson.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Francis Church, High Street, Wakefield. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.

RANDY S. VIAU - Warwick
RANDY S. VIAU, 32, of Rivervue Avenue, a self-employed shellfisherman and construction worker for 15 years, died Sunday at Kent County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Edgar F. Viau Sr. and Doris R. (Entwistle) Viau, he was a lifelong Warwick resident.
Mr. Viau leaves three sisters, Leslie A. Stusik, Karen N. Joyal and Janice E. Capuano, all of Warwick; and three brothers, Donald A. Viau in Tennessee, and Ronald J. Viau and Edgar F. Viau Jr., both of Warwick. He was the brother of the late Robert F. Viau.
The funeral will be held today at 8 p.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Burial will be private.

HERBERT F. WEST - Warwick
HERBERT F. WEST, 85, of Morse Avenue, a machinist for the former BIF Industries for more than 35 years, retiring in 1977, died yesterday at Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Anna Esther (Larsen) West.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Herbert and Christina (Hardie) West, he lived in Warwick all his life.
He was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Warwick.
He leaves two daughters, Carolyn A. Perry of Holiday, Fla., and Dorothy M. Risk of Warwick; two brothers, Ralph West of Marco Island, Fla., and Robert West of Warwick; four sisters, Florence Scott, Jean York and Rena Gillissie, all of Warwick, and Charlotte Horan of Coventry; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was a brother of the late Dorothy Mae Leonard.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick, with a Requiem Mass at 11 in St. Barnabas Church, Post Road, Warwick. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.

ARTHUR E. HUNTLEY - Warwick
ARTHUR E. HUNTLEY, 84, of Louisiana Road, South Daytona, Fla., an electronics technician for the federal Government, died Saturday at Clyatt Quality Care, Daytona Beach. He was the husband of Mary E. (Kilkenney) Huntley.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Ernest W. and Lelia (Hosier) Huntley, he lived in South Daytona since moving from Warwick 25 years ago.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Palmetto Club and NARFE.
Besides his wife, he leaves two brothers, Donald J. Huntley of Greensboro, N.C., and Ernest W. Huntly Jr. of Smithfield; and three sisters; Grace E. Graham of Warwick, Edith M. Koconis of Middletown and G. Marjorie Huntley of Providence.
The funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. in the Elliott M. Robbins Chapel, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.

CAROL PRENDERGAST - Westerly
CAROL PRENDERGAST, 57, of Trolley Lane, a child and family counselor for the West Bay Community Action Children's Center, Warwick, for 16 years, died Monday at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Austin B. Prendergast.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Eric G.O. and K. Linnea (Fahlman) Anderson, she had lived in Warwick and Ashaway before she moved to Westerly.
She was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, with a degree in sociology.
She was a member of the International Life Centers Church, Westerly. She was affiliated with the Warwick Coalition to Prevent Child Abuse and had been recognized as a child advocate for her work against child abuse, including a nomination to receive the Jefferson Award.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Christopher J. Beneduce of Warwick; two stepchildren, Brendan M. Prendergast of Newport and Hilary A. Prendergast of Kingston; a sister, Sharon L. Brown of Coventry; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Carpenter-Jenks Quaker Lane Chapel, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Warwick.

VIRGINIA T. BEARSE, 47, of Weaver Hill Road died Tuesday at Kent County Memorial Hospital, Warwick.
Born in Providence, a daughter of F. Paul and Lorraine (Sawyer) Bearse, she lived in West Greenwich for 30 years.
Besides her parents, she leaves a daughter, Paula M. Fournier, and a sister, Cynthia J. Bearse, both of Coventry; and two grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9 a.m. in SS. John and Paul Church, South Main Street, Coventry. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Coventry.

LESTER C. TURNER - Barrington
LESTER C. TURNER, 63, of Middle Highway, former owner of the Add A Sign Co. for 20 years, died Monday at home. He was the husband of Holly M. (Pilotte) Turner.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Arthur H. and Julia (Pietrofsky) Turner, he was a lifelong resident of Barrington. Mr. Turner previously owned Norge Town Laundry, North Providence, for 15 years.
He was an insurance broker for Travelers Insurance and a yacht designer for Pearson Yacht Co. for 15 years. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Joy M. Miranda of East Providence; two sons, Scott C. Turner in Alaska and Gary C. Turner of Barrington; four sisters, Evelyn Strickland and Patricia Lewis, both of Warren, Janet Castigilego of Bristol and Roberta Louis of Pawtucket; and two grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Arthur H. and Robert Turner.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., East Providence, with a service at 10 in St. Mark's Church, Warren. Burial will be in Warren South Cemetery, Warren.
