LENA BOTELHO - Cranston
LENA BOTELHO, 72, of D'Evan Manor, Cranston Street, died Tuesday at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Augustine R. Botelho.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Manuel and Antonia (DeJesus) Farias, and the adopted daughter of the late Carlos and Maria Luciano, she lived in Cranston for 45 years.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Carol Lee Morrissette of Coventry; two sisters, Rose Labeau in Florida and Georgiana Moniz of Fall River; a brother, Carlos Luciano of Riverside; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8 a.m. from the Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Bartholomew Church, Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.

Rites set for Susan Botelho, 58, whose body was found on beach
MIDDLETOWN -- A graveside servide for Susan Mary Botelho, 58, of 885 Mitchells Lane, whose body was found Monday on Peabody Beach, will be held Saturday at noon in Newport Memorial Park Mausoleum, Middletown. Entombment will follow. She was the wife of Manuel A. Botelho.
Born in Lancaster, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Eugene E. and Mary (Eby) Schuberth.
Mrs. Botelho, a teacher in the Middletown School Department, taught at the John Kennedy School and the Oliphant School. She was named "Teacher of the Year" in 1985.
She was a 1969 graduate of the University of Rhode Island and had attended Moore Institute of Art in Phildelphia, Pa.
Mr. and Mrs. Botelho had owned and operated Sweet Serenity and a workshop at their home for 25 years.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Barry Botelho of Portsmouth and Angelo Botelho of Middletown; four daughters, Maryann Jordan of Salisbury, Mass., Kathleen Maloney of Newport, Lisa McKenna of Wakefield and Mandy Alexander of Portsmouth; a sister, Inez Schuberth of West Warwick; and nine grandchildren.

DAVID FROIAS - Fall River
DAVID FROIAS, 52, of Arnold Street, New Bedford, formerly of Fountain Street, Fall River, died Monday at home. He was the husband of Danielle M. (Soares) Froias.
Born in Fall River, a son of the late Everett and Alice (Raposa) Froias, he had lived in Fall River most of his life, moving to New Bedford last year.
He attended Bristol Community College, Fall River, and was a member of the Fall River Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Autumn Froias of New Bedford; three brothers, Jonathan Froias of Kissimmee, Fla., and Stephen Froias and Thomas Froias, both of Fall River; and a sister, Sherry Beth Teves in North Carolina.
A graveside service will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 100 North Eastern Ave., Fall River.

PAUL R. CAHILL - Fall River
PAUL R. CAHILL, 70, of Pleasant Street, a maintenance man for the Haridite Print Works Co., Dighton, for more than 20 years, died Sunday at home.
Born in Fall River, a son of the late James L. and Gertrude (Collins) Cahill, he had been a Somerset resident for 20 years before he returned to Fall River 3 years ago.
Mr. Cahill was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of AMVETS and the Fall River Elks.
He leaves a brother, Daniel Cahill of Fall River; two sisters, Helen Oliver of Wakefield and Margaret Paquin of Greenville, N.H.; and his companion, Angela Kennedy of Fall River. He was the brother of the late Joseph, James, John and Edward Cahill and Gertrude Shepard.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. from the "Cherry Place" Home of Waring-Ashton and Coughlin-D.D. Sullivan-Driscoll, 178 Winter St., with a funeral Mass at 11 in Notre Dame Church, Eastern Avenue. Burial will be in Bourne National Cemetery.

BEVERLY J. BOWEN - Glocester
BEVERLY J. BOWEN, 66, of Tourtellot Hill Road, Chepachet, co-owner with her husband of Chepachet Pharmacy since 1956, died Tuesday at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of Earl A. Bowen.
Born in Smithfield, a daughter of the late Seth and Lottie (Sheffield) Steere, she lived in Chepachet for 41 years, previously living in Smithfield.
Mrs. Bowen was a member of Chepachet Union Church and the Eastern Star.
Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Mark D. Bowen and Glenn A. Bowen, both of Chepachet, and Craig A. Bowen of Harrisville; a sister, Madeline Savage of Papola, Mexico; and a grandson. She was the sister of the late Joseph M. McElroy.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Chepachet Union Church, Putnam Pike. Burial will be in Acotes Hill Cemetery.

THADDEUS "TEE" TOLBERT - Newport
THADDEUS "TEE" TOLBERT, 62, of 2 Watson St., a classified incinerator operator at the Naval Educational Training Center for 31 years, retiring in 1988, died Monday at Newport Hospital. He was the husband of Della L. (Owens) Tolbert.
Born in Charleston, S.C., a son of the late James and Georgianna (Graham) Tolbert, he lived in Newport for 34 years. Mr. Tolbert received a commendation from the Warwick Police Department in 1977 for his work at the training center.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
He was a member of Community Baptist Church and Stone Mill Lodge 3, F&AM (PHA). He was a past patron of Queen Esther Chapter 2, OES, a member of Mount Sinai Consistory 12 Scottish Rite and a former member of Constantine Temple 14 Shrine.
He was a member of the All Vets Club of Newport, Trinity Lodge 183 IBPOEW, the Past Exalted Ruler's Council in Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts, and VFW Post 447, Middletown.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Thaddeus A. Tolbert of Newport; a brother, the Rev. James E. Tolbert of Charleston, S.C.; a sister, Georgia M. Tolbert of Freeport, N.Y.; and a granddaughter.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in Community Baptist Church, Dr. Marcus F. Wheatland Boulevard, Newport. Burial with military honors will be in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown.

HARRY P. BONIN - North Kingstown
HARRY P. BONIN, 34, of Tower Hill Road, a former iron worker at Thames Valley Steel, Groton, Conn., and at Electric Boat, Quonset Point, died Tuesday at home.
Born in South Kingstown, a son of Ernest Bonin of North Kingstown and the late Lydia E. (Campbell) Bonin, he lived in North Kingstown all his life.
He was a member of the Iron Workers Union. He designed the veterans' memorial bell tower at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
Besides his father, he leaves two brothers, Edward F. Bonin of North Kingstown and Robert C. Bonin of Greene, in Coventry; and a nephew.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Lawrence E. Fagan Jr. Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, North Kingstown.

ALICE FORTIER, 68, of Lucas Street died yesterday at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Archille and Parmelia (Pelletier) Gagnon, she was a lifelong resident of the City.
She leaves a daughter, Suzanne Berard of South Attleboro; a sister, Cecile Hamel, formerly of Central Falls; and two granddaughters.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8 a.m. from the Prata Home, 372 Broadway, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Edward Church, Weeden Street, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

ANTONIO MARQUES, 71, formerly of Pawtucket, a former press operator at the George H. Fuller Co., died Tuesday at the Eleanor Slater Hospital, Cranston.
Born in Taunton, a son of the late Joseph P. and Belizanda (Augusta) Marques, he lived in Pawtucket for many years.
He leaves a brother, Joseph P. Marques of Lincoln.
The funeral and burial will be private.

JOHN J. "JACKIE" O'HERN - Providence
JOHN J. "JACKIE" O'HERN, 64, of Union Avenue, a molder at Norton Safety Equipment Co., Johnston, for 36 years, retiring in 1995, died Tuesday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Irene M. (Cavanaugh) O'Hern.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John J. and Lillian (Bowler) O'Hern. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, John J. O'Hern of Cranston and Ronald P. O'Hern of Lincoln; a sister, Shirley C. O'Hern of Providence; and three grandsons. He was the brother of the late Ronald P. O'Hern.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Anthony Church, Plainfield Street. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

WILLIAM H. "WEBE" COSTELLO, 47, of Warren Street, formerly of Woburn, Mass., a self-employed carpenter, died Friday at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston.
Born in Woburn, a son of Harold J. Costello of Sanford, Maine, and Kathleen E. (Harron) Costello of Tewksbury, Mass., he had lived in Woburn before moving to San Francsico, Florida and to Providence in 1990.
Besides his parents, he leaves three brothers, Paul D. Costello of Mesa, Ariz., Robert E. Costello of Woburn and James D. Costello of Providence; three sisters, Linda L. DeVito and Joan R. Marte, both of Lawrence, Mass., and Kathleen A. Tighe of Woburn; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held at the Graham Funeral Home, Woburn.
