JESSE B. LAW JR. - Warwick
JESSE B. LAW JR., 76, of Glen Drive, supervisor and head rigger for C.J. Pearson Yacht Co., Bristol, for 24 years before retiring in 1983, died Sunday at Brentwood Nursing Home. He was the husband of Beatrice V. (Berube) Blanchard-Law. He was the husband of the late Shirley R. (Rogers) Law.
Born in Rock Mount, Va., a son of the late Jesse B. Law Sr. and Beulah (Cooper) Law, he lived in Warwick since 1959. Mr. Law was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II, and served on the Nantucket Light Ship. He was a member of the East Greenwich Whirl Aways Square Dance Club.
Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Sheila A. Moscatelli of North Kingstown, Glenda C. Topp and Mary E. Bacon, both of Warwick; a son, Jesse B. Law III of Martha's Vineyard, Mass.; a sister, Nancy Hodges of Charlotte, N.C.; a stepson, Ronald H. Blanchard of Warwick; a stepdaughter, Dianne L. Dunsmore of San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Dennis W. Law.
The funeral service will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Burial with military honors will follow.

FREDERICK J. FISH JR. - Warwick
FREDERICK J. FISH JR., 76, of Centerville Rd., died Sept. 30 at home.
Born in Coventry, he was the son of the late Frederick J. and Luella E. (Johnson) Fish Sr.
Mr. Fish was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II
He leaves two aunts.
A graveside service will be held tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. at Quidnessett Cemetery in North Kingstown.

ARTHUR E. HUNTLEY - Warwick
ARTHUR E. HUNTLEY, 84, of Louisiana Road, South Daytona, Fla., an electronics technician for the federal government for many years until retiring, died Saturday at the Clyatt Quality Care, Daytona Beach. He was the husband of Mary E. (Kilkenney) Huntley.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Ernest W. and Lelia (Hosier) Huntley, he had lived in South Daytona for 25 years, previously living in Warwick.
Mr. Huntley was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Palmetto Club in Florida and a member of NARFE.
Besides his wife, he leaves two brothers, Donald J. Huntley of Greensboro, N.C., and Ernest W. Huntley Jr. of Smithfield; three sisters, Grace E. Graham of Warwick, Edith M. Koconis of Middletown, and G. Marjorie Huntley of Providence.
The funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Elliott M. Robbins Chapel, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.

JANET A. GORDON - Warwick
JANET A. GORDON, 74, of 777 Cowesett Rd., an emergency room clerk at the Detroit Osteopathic Hospital for 20 yrs before retiring in 1988, died Saturday at Kent Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Rehoboth, Mass., a daughter of the late Lillian (Russell) Heath, she moved to Warwick eight years ago.
Ms. Gordon was a former member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Providence.
She leaves a daughter, Gayle Davis of Jamestown; two sons, Charles R. Price Jr. of Warwick, and Neil Price of East Providence; two sisters, Jessie H. Smith of Providence, and Sally H. Mabray in Florida; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was the stepdaughter of the late Jesse R. Heath.
There will be no funeral service.

STELLA CICERCHIA - Cumberland
STELLA CICERCHIA, 84, of Mendon Road, died Sunday at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late John Cicerchia.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Domenico and Maria A. (Saneta) Aurelio, she lived in Warwick for 25 years before moving to Cumberland seven years ago.
Mrs. Cicerchia leaves two sons, John Cicerchia Jr. and Robert Cicerchia, both of Lincoln; three daughters, Dolores Pilz of Pawtucket, Amelia Jaworski of Lincoln, and Eleanor Lauzier-Allard of Cumberland; three sisters, Marie DeMarco and Della DeCubellis, both of Providence, and Elizabeth Press of Smithfield; two brothers, Domenic Aurelio of Pawtucket, and Thomas Aurelio of North Providence; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was a sister of the late Margaret DeLuca, Etta Romano, Laura Fillone, Ernest and Albert Aurelio.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 8 a.m. from the Mariani Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Ann Church, Hawkins Street. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

WILLIAM W. SMITH - Woonsocket
WILLIAM W. SMITH, 60, of 22 Wells St., a warehouse worker for Ames Stores Inc. of Mansfield, Mass., for 15 years before retiring in 1997, died yesterday at Miriam Hospital, Providence, after a long illness.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late William W. and Margaret (Montville) Smith. Mr. Smith was a 1955 graduate of Woonsocket High School.
He leaves a brother, George E. Smith, and a sister, Lillian Pulver, both of Woonsocket. He was a brother of the late Margaret Detannoacourt of Cumberland.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8 a.m. from the Kilcline Funeral Home, 304 North Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Charles Church, North Main Street. Burial will follow.

RAYMOND W. LINTON - Woonsocket
RAYMOND W. LINTON, 73, of Woonsocket Health Center, an automobile salesman for Anson Motors in Attleboro for more than 25 years before retiring in 1990, died Sunday at the center after a long illness.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Robert F. and Bertha (Desrosiers) Linton.
Mr. Linton was a Navy veteran of World War II, and served aboard the USS Iowa and the USS Wisconsin. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Medal with five stars, and the Philippine Liberation Medal with one star.
He leaves several nieces. He was a brother of the late Andrew R. Linton.
The funeral will be private.

BEATRICE LEDUC - Woonsocket
BEATRICE LEDUC, 95, formerly of Division Street, died Sunday at the Oakland Grove Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Eugene Leduc.
A lifelong resident of Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Wilfrid and Theophita (Hogue) Girard.
She leaves two daughters, Pauline Leduc and Gloria DeCubellis, both of Woonsocket; four brothers, Ronaldo Girard of Harmony, Charles Girard and Horace Girard, both of Woonsocket, and Normand Girard of Blackstone, Mass.; a sister, Lillian Girard of Woonsocket; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 8 a.m. from the Menard's Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Avenue. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, South Bellingham, Mass.

ELIZABETH V. JOHNSON - East Providence
ELIZABETH V. JOHNSON, 86, of Harborview, 3663 Pawtucket Ave., manager of the Colonial Nursing Home from 1974 to 1986, died yesterday at home. She was the wife of the late Alford L. Johnson.
Born in Pocopson, Pa., a daughter of the late Harry and Edith (Teller) Souder, she had lived in Warren for many years before moving to East Providence in 1972.
Mrs. Johnson was a certified nursing assistant at Health Havens Nursing Home from 1972-74. In Warren, she was a past matron of the Martha Washington Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of its Mariner's Club. She was a member of the Republican Women's Association and the Harborview Tenants Association. She had been a DeMolay Mom for the Massasoit Chapter, Order of DeMolay for Boys, and a member of the Mother's Club of the Bristol County Assembly Order of Rainbow for Girls.
She leaves two sons, Peter A. Johnson of Riverside, and James Miley of Newark, Del.; three daughters, Mary Jane Vincent of West Yarmouth, Mass., Elizabeth A. Brum of Riverside, and Darleen Alves of Charlestown; a stepdaughter, Helen Stewart in Ohio; a brother, Arron Souder of New Castle, Del.; three sisters, Anna Knapp of Mt. Royal, N.J., Mary Berg of Paulsboro, N.J., and Elsie Edwards of Coatesville, Pa.; 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was a sister of the late Edna Pigon, Francis Maxwell, David and William Souder.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 10 Turner Ave., Riverside. Burial will be private.

FRANCIS T. HALPIN - Fall River
FRANCIS T. HALPIN, 60, of 621 King Philip St., a machine operator at Duro Textiles, died yesterday at the Rose Hawthorne Lathrop Home. He was the husband of Clara (Gibbon) Halpin. He was the former husband of Collette (Thibault) Halpin.
A lifelong Fall River resident, he was a son of the late Patrick A. and Evelyn R. (Forties) Halpin.
Mr. Halpin was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. He had been a sales representative for many years for Boston Mutual Life Insurance Co. prior to his employment at Duro.
Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Michelle C. Leonardo and Renee L. Johnson, both of Fall River; one son, Gunnery Sgt. Michael F. Halpin, USMC, in California; four grandchildren; and his former wife, of Fall River.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 8 a.m. from the Jeffrey E. Sullivan Funeral Home, 550 Locust St., with a funeral Mass at 9 in Immaculate Conception Church, Thomas Street. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.

GEORGE ANTHONY GOMES SR. - Fall River
GEORGE ANTHONY GOMES SR., 69, of 28 Hughes St., the foreman at Hoogendoorn Nursery in Middletown for 47 years before retiring in 1995, died Sunday at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Florence S. (Cordeiro) Gomes.
Born in Portsmouth, a son of the late Antone and Bellbina (Oliveira) Gomes, he moved to Fall River in 1991.
Mr. Gomes was the former president of the North Tiverton Pigeon Club.
He leaves two sons, George Anthony Gomes Jr. of Middletown, and Raymond E. Gomes of Tiverton; a daughter, Deborah A. Gomes of Portsmouth; and three grandchildren. He was the companion of Millie Pacheco of Fall River. He was the brother of the late David N. Gomes
The funeral service and burial will be private.
