MABEL E. MAROVELLI - Pawtucket
MABEL E. MAROVELLI, 82, of Whittier Road, died yesterday at the Slater Health Center. She was the wife of the late Bruno Marovelli.
Born in Easthampton, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Mabel (Grant) Robinson. She had lived in Pawtucket for the last 50 years.
Mrs. Marovelli was a homemaker.
Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Albert Krueger of Las Vegas, Nev., Frederick Krueger of Central Falls and Bruno Marovelli of Seekonk; three daughters, Roberta Bailey of Norwalk, Conn., Helen McWilliams of Rumford and Corinne Orlinski of Westford, Mass.; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Marovelli was the sister of the late Edna, James and Albert Robinson.
A private funeral service will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage St. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, North Smithfield.

FLORENCE E. PION - Pawtucket
FLORENCE E. PION, 69, of Hunt Avenue, died yesterday at home. She was the widow of Ralph Pion.
A lifelong city resident, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Rose Alma Trahan.
She leaves two sisters, Rosella Perry of Pawtucket and Helen Baldacchinno of Plymouth, Mass.; and three brothers, Raymond F. Trahan of Rumford, Joseph George Trahan of Pawtucket and Wilfred Trahan of Omaha, Neb.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Leo the Great Church, Central Avenue. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.

ROBERT CHARLES HARDING - Portsmouth
ROBERT CHARLES HARDING, 73, of 2100 Kings Highway, Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Portsmouth, a career Navy veteran before retiring as lieutenant commander in 1971, died Monday at St. Joseph Hospital in Port Charlotte.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., a son of the late William Harding and Elizabeth (Robinson) Harding Gorman, he had lived in Tiverton before moving to Portsmouth, where he lived for 15 years before moving to Florida seven years ago.
Mr. Harding was a 1941 graduate of Oliver High School in Pittsburgh, and joined the Navy at the age of 18. He was a 30-year veteran, having served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. In Portsmouth, he was a member of the Bristol County Elks, the Portuguese American Club and the Montaup Country Club. He was a member of the Moose, the Elks and the Eagles in Port Charlotte. He enjoyed golfing.
He leaves a daughter, Nancy Harding in Texas; a sister, Elizabeth Jane Maze of Pittsburgh; and a grandson. He was the companion of Lilianne Robinson of Port Charlotte.
Cremation will take place in Florida.

HELEN M. MITCHELL - Providence
HELEN M. MITCHELL, 93, of Daniel Avenue, died Wednesday in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center. She was the wife of the late Harry Mitchell.
Born in Winchester, Mass., a daughter of the late Thomas and Frances (Cavanaugh) Richards, she had lived in Providence for over 70 years.
She leaves a son, George E. Mitchell of Warwick, and two grandchildren. She was the sister of the late William, Edward and Raymond Richards and Louise Hughes.
The funeral will be tomorrow at 8 a.m. from the William T. Forde Funeral Home, 417 Plainfield St., with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, Plainfield Street, at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.

ZYGMUND "ZIGGY" SUJDAK - Seekonk
ZYGMUND "ZIGGY" SUJDAK, 72, of Newman Avenue, a machine operator for Englehard Industries of Mansfield, Mass., for 25 years before retiring, died Friday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro.
Born in Seekonk, a son of the late Stanley and Katherine (Stanieszewki) Sujdak, he had lived in Pawtucket before returning to Seekonk 46 years ago.
Mr. Sujdak leaves a sister, Stasia H. Schabowski of Seekonk; a brother, Edward Sujdak of Englewood, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. He was a brother of the late Phyllis Taveira.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home, 342 High St., Central Falls, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mary's Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket.

EDWARD J. MASSE - Warwick
EDWARD J. MASSE, 86, of North Eisenhower, Moscow, Idaho, formerly of Warwick, branch manager for Fuller Brush Co. in Providence for many years before retiring in 1973, died Friday at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Paschen) Masse. He was the husband of the late Margaret A. (Allt) Masse.
Born in Cambridge, Mass., a son of the late Bartholomew J. and Bugenia (Beaurivage) Masse, he had lived in Warwick for 30 years before moving to Oak Harbor, Wash., in 1978, and to Moscow last December.
Mr. Masse was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moscow, and a former member of St. Timothy Church, Warwick. He was a member of Warwick Council 2295, Knights of Columbus, and was a past president of the Warwick Columbus Corporation. He had been an avid golfer.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mary L. Masse of Warwick; two stepdaughters, Lynn Murray of Moscow, and Patricia Wolters of Livonia, Mich.; a stepson, James Wolfe of Seymour, Ill.; and nine stepgrandchildren. He was the father of the late Rev. Edward J. Masse and Margaret M. Masse, and brother of the late Fred Masse and Alice Hurvitz.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from the Peter J. Barrett Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Timothy Church, Warwick Avenue. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Mass.

DOLORES L. WOODS - Cranston
DOLORES L. WOODS, 63, of 695 Dyer Ave., died Friday at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Providence, a daughter of Dorothy (Crowell) Mooney of Burrillville, and the late Owen Mooney, she lived in Cranston for 40 years. Besides her mother, she leaves three sons, David W. Woods of Providence, Brian P. Woods and Craig E. Woods, both of Cranston.
She also leaves two brothers, Owen E. Mooney Jr. of Burrillville and Robert G. Mooney of Providence; and three grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Marilyn Mooney.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8 a.m. from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Ann Church, Cranston Street. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.

SUE CARRARA - Glocester
SUE CARRARA, 89, of Karon Way, Chepachet, an employee of the former Hi-Grade Manufacturing Co. before retiring, died Sunday at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island. She was the wife of the late Peter J. Carrara Sr.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Giovanni and Amelia (Gilgio) Ursillo, she moved to Chepachet three years ago. Mrs. Carrara had previously been a self-employed hairdresser.
She leaves two sons, Peter J. Carrara Jr. of Chepachet and Richard R. Carrara Sr. of Glocester; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a sister of the late Jennie Squillacci, Ralph, John, James, Fred and Carlo Ursillo.
The funeral will be private.

MILDRED M. BRITTAIN - Jamestown
MILDRED M. BRITTAIN, 75, of 230 Conanicus Ave., a facility aid at St. George's School for 17 years before retiring in 1992, died Monday at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of John H. Brittain.
Born in Tiverton, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. and Beatrice L. (Monroe) Budlong. In addition to having worked at St. George's School, she had worked as a nursing assistant in New York before moving back to Rhode Island in 1968. She was also an avid bowler who competed and won many awards.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Candace Pansa of Bristol; a son, John H. Brittain Jr. of Jamestown; three brothers, Robert Budlong, James Budlong and Richard Budlong, all of Newport; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Christina Frund, Florence Bateman, Junie Budlong and Russell Budlong.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

PHILIP CATALFOMO - Johnston
PHILIP CATALFOMO, 75, of Pembroke Pines, Fla., formerly of Johnston, a self-employed automobile dealer before retiring in 1990, died Saturday at Memorial Pine Hospital, Pembroke Pines. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Rivelli) Catalfomo.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Domenic and Mary (Petrucci) Catalfomo, he lived Johnston for 46 years before moving to Florida seven years ago.
Mr. Catalfomo was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion in Florida. He was a member of the Elks and the Order of the Moose in Florida.
He leaves a son, Philip J. Catalfomo of North Providence; two daughters, Paula Saccoccio of Pembroke Pines, and Dorian Saccoccio of South Kingstown; and two grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Pembroke Pines. Entombment will be private in Hollywood Memorial Gardens, Pembroke Pines. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Sunday, Nov. 9, at 8 a.m. at Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, Fourth Street, North Providence.

EVELYN MARY MARSHALL - Middletown
EVELYN MARY MARSHALL, 80, of 158 Briarwood Ave., an assembler at the former General Electric Monowatt plant in Newport, and at the Naval Torpedo Station before retiring, died yesterday at home. She was the wife of the late George A. Marshall.
Born in Hamburg, Conn., she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Marshall) Silvia
Mrs. Marshall leaves two sons, Edward Marshall and Francis Marshall, both of Middletown; two daughters, Lorraine Marshall of Suffolk, Va., and Joanne Marshall of Middletown; three sisters, Mary Pinto in New Jersey, Anna H. Blanchette of Newport, and Lucille Andrews of Phoenix, Ariz.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late George A. Marshall Jr.
The funeral service will be private.
