Mary and Scott Emig celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 23, 2001.

Scott is the son of the late Goldie and George Emig. He is the retired owner of the Scott B. Emig Funeral Home.
Mary is the daughter of the late Catherine and J. Edward Morgart. She is retired from the same funeral home.
They have four children: Jeffrey of Big Mount; Garth of Dover; Karen Rayburn of York; and Audrey Hyser of Manchester.
They have 11 grandchildren.
Beinhower
Howard and Rosella Beinhower of 3106 Jordan Court, Dover, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 6, 2001.
They were married at her mother’s home by the Rev. John Bishop.
A luncheon, given by their family, was held Sept. 9 at St. David’s Evangelical United Church of Christ in Dover.
Howard is the son of the late William and Mabel Beinhower. He is retired from Pennsylvania Power and Light Co.
Rosella is the daughter of the late Mervin and Ethel Stoner.

They have four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The couple took a cruise to the Bahamas with their family. A family party was held March 23 at their daughter’s home in Red Lion.
William is the son of the late Martin and C. Mae Liggitt. He is retired from Shipley.
Mae is the daughter of the late Wiley and Hazel Shaull. She works for C. Gerry Stinson, DDS in Stewartstown.
They have three children: Denise Miller of Baltimore, and Sheryll Ewell and Randy, both of Red Lion.

George and Dorothy Warehime of Aspers celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary March 20, 2003.
They were married in Westminster, Md.
An open house, given by their children, was held March 22 at the couple’s home. Their family took them to dinner at the Bay City restaurant on March 23.
George is the son of the late Hilda and Elton Warehime. He is a farmer and works at Wal-Mart.
Dorothy is the daughter of the late Anna and Benjamin Gist. She is a receptionist at Boston Inn.
They have three children: Thelma Middleton of Wellsville, George of Aspers, and Dennis of Biglerville.
They have four grandchildren.

George and JoAnn Sterner of 7197 Hershey Road, Spring Grove, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 28, 2003.
They were married in Raysville, Md., by the Rev. M.B. Heiland, now deceased.

George is the son of Hattie Sterner of Spring Grove and the late Isaiah Sterner. He is retired from P.H. Glatfelter.
JoAnn is the daughter of the late Charles Flickinger Jr. and the late Odessa Flickinger Coulson. She is retired from United Defense.
They have five children: Carla Bollinger, Lori Wolf and Marcia, all of Spring Grove; and Tim and Duane, both of Hanover.
They have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Richard and Nancy Geist of York celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 5, 2003.
They were married at Zion United Church by the Rev. Arthur Grove, now deceased.
Richard is the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Geist. He retired after 33 years from York International.
Nancy is the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth Sipe. She retired after 36 years from McCrory’s Distribution Center.
They have four children: Celeste Hershey of Hanover, and Cynthia Albright, Christopher and Clifford, all of West Manchester Township.
