ELIZABETH TRAPOLD
Elizabeth Ann "Betsy/Beth Ann" (Burke) Trapold, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, died Dec. 22 at her home in McLean, Va.
She was a daughter of Mabel Clark Burke and Mark Loftus Burke.
She attended St. Ann's Academy and the former Wilkes-Barre Institute (now Wyoming Seminary), and graduated from Meyers High School. She went on to attend Wyoming Seminary School of Business.
More recently, she had pursued a career in retail sales, managing and selling furs at several stores in the Washington , D.C. area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, retired U.S. Air Force Col. Augustine Charles Trapold III.
Surviving are her daughter, Beth Ann Trapold Newton, McLean Va.; two grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane Clements, Lehman; brothers , Mark. L. Burke, Tucson, Ariz.; and J. Clark Burke, Summit, N.J.; two nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services were conducted Dec. 30 in Vienna Va.
Interment was in Arlington National Cemetery.
Travis, Mildred

Mildred Travis, formerly of Lee Park, Hanover Township, died Tuesday in Doylestown.
Born Dec. 5, 1911, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Frances (Williams) Foley. She attended Hanover Township High School and was a seamstress in the area garment industry for many years. She was a member of St. Bede's Church, Holland, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo M.; son, Leo J.; brother, Donald; and sister, Jane Yakowski.
Surviving are her children, Lorraine Layden, Levittown; Joan Ostrander, Nanticoke; and Patricia Ann Kolesar, with whom she resided; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Aloysius Church, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Anna Trebunak, 85, of Henry Street, Plains Township, died Friday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, following an illness.

Tredinnick, Doris

Doris L. Tredinnick, 84, formerly of South Sherman Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre, where she was a resident for more than seven years.
Born March 19, 1916, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Rowena Davis Gillman. She was a graduate of GAR Memorial High School and was a member of Albright United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre, and the Women's Fellowship.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Tredinnick; sister, Rowena Gillman; and brother, Harry Gillman.
Surviving are her sons , John E. Tredinnick, Wilkes-Barre; James H. Tredinnick, Dayton, Ohio; sister, Emma Simms, Mountaintop; brother, James Gillman, Stroudsburg; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service, Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Hollenback Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre. Truscott, Walter

Walter J. Truscott, 82, of Westminster Drive, Dallas, died Wednesday at his home.
Born in West Wyoming, he was a son of the late Josef and Anna (Vasvenski) Truskowski. He was a graduate of Wyoming High School. He was a clerk in the Luzerne County Treasurer's Office. He was a career soldier with the U.S. Army, serving in World War II,
Korean War and during the Vietnam Era. He received two Purple Hearts. He was a member of the Trucksville United Methodist Church, 40 Knob Hill, Trucksville, 18704, Harrison Lodge 122 F & AM, Brandenburg, Ky., Caldwell Consistory, Bloomsburg, Irem Temple, Wilkes-Barre, and its Stewards Unit, life member of the Greater West Side Chapter 102, Disabled American Veterans, and Past Patron Order of the Eastern Star, Dallas Chapter 396.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Josef, Anthony, and Roman Truskowski; sisters Stella Griglock and Sophie Minek.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, the former Bette R. Mathers; sons , John G., Le Roy, N.Y., Dr. James W., Center Moreland; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 672 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with the Rev. W. Charles Naugle officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Crest Cemetery, Trucksville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Masonic services will be at 8:30 p.m. Friday. MARGARET TRUSKA
Margaret (Rutkowski) Truska, 90, of Harveys Lake, died Sunday at the Summit Health Care Center, Wilkes-Barre, where she was a guest for the last four years.
Born Dec. 18, 1908, in Sugar Notch, she was the daughter of the late Ignatius and Victoria Grazulis Rutkowski.
She resided in Luzerne before moving to Harveys Lake in 1940.
She and her late husband, Taft Truska Sr., owned and operated the Sportsman's Bar and Grill, Harveys Lake, for 35 years, retiring in 1975.
She was a former member of St. Ann's Church, Luzerne, and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 525, Luzerne.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988; daughter, Margaret Gulitus, in 1981; brothers , Peter, Walter and Charles Rutkowski; sister, Mary Waitcavicz; and grandson, Albert Gulitus.
Surviving are daughters , Josephine Evans and Florence Boyle, both of Harveys Lake; son, Taft Truska II; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, Lake Township, with the Rev. Joseph P. Rafferty, pastor of Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake, officiating.
Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Dallas.

Helen T. Tuloshetski, 67, formerly of Nanticoke and Lee Park Towers, died Saturday at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Victoria B. Turner, of East Union Street in Nanticoke died Thursday at Mercy Special Care Hospital in Nanticoke.
Born in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Marion and Martha (Urbanski) Trynoski.
She was formerly employed by Square Apparel and Dar-Lan Co.
She was a member of St. Francis Church in Nanticoke and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Turner, and brothers , Edward Trynoski, Henry Trynoski and Anthony Falkowski.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Ann Eckert, Beachwood, N.J.; sons , David, Valrico, Fla.; and James, Nanticoke; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters , Isabelle Krajewski, Nanticoke; and Eleanor Morris, Beachwood, N.J.; and brother, Stanley Trojanowski, Tacoma, Wash.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday from the Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home, 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Francis Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.

Tutella, Nicholas

Nicholas F. Tutella, 18, of Woodside Drive, Wilkes-Barre, died Friday as a result of an automobile crash.
Born May 30, 1981, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of Nicholas and Marion (Richards) Tutella, Wilkes-Barre. He was a 1999 graduate of Coughlin High School and worked for Vendors 1st Choice Inc., Wilkes-Barre. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, East Main Street, Miners Mills.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jack and Regina Richards and his paternal grandparents, Frank and Josephine Tutella.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his sister, Cathy Tutella, at home; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Monday from the Blessed Sacrament Church, East Main Street, Miners Mills, with the Rev. Joseph A. Kearney officiating. Andre A. "Dre" Twyman, 23, of Charles Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Friday at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born Jan. 21, 1976, in Chester, he was a son of Watt Singleton and the late Theresa Twyman.
He was formerly employed as a loader with Klein Candy Company.
In addition to his mother , he was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Laura Singleton.
Surviving in addition to his Father are his son, Dion Crum, Wilkes-Barre; daughters , Latisha and Giavonna Twyman, and India Friday, all of Wilkes-Barre; brothers , Watt H. and Lamont D., both of Wilkes-Barre; sisters , Djuwana Y., Bronita M. and Wattina C. Twyman, all of Wilkes-Barre; maternal grandparents Ruth and Thomas Twyman; companion, Kristy Middleton, with whom he resided; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home Inc., 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.
Interment will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. There will be no procession to the cemetery.

Catherine Urban, of Main Street in Swoyersville died Wednesday in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Yarmel) Lukasavage.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Luzerne.
Surviving we her husband, John; sons , John, Trucksville; Thomas, Chester Springs; and Peter, Exeter; daughters , Ann Beth Shuleski, Shavertown; and Irene Urban, fiance of Dr. William Ziegler III, Mountaintop; five grandchildren; sister, Irene June, Connecticut; brothers , Daniel Lukasavage, Courtdale; and John Lukasavage, Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from the Lehman-Gregory Funeral Home, Inc., 281 Chapel St., Swoyersville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church in Luzerne. Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery in Lehman Township.
