Marguerite "Peg" Cameron, 88, of Greensburg, died Saturday, April 22, 2000, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born April 16, 1912, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Harry Hamilton Sr. and Henrietta Detar Hamilton. She was a retired employee of Gee Bee Department Store in Greensburg, retiring in 1977. She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church and was active with the First Presbyterian Church Sewing Circle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. Cameron; and a brother-in-law, William Kable. Surviving are her son, Robert Cameron of Greensburg; a brother, Harry Hamilton Jr. and wife, Betty, of Long Beach, Calif.; a sister, Ruth Kable of Greensburg; a grandson, Rob Cameron of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Dr. James Nash officiating. Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery. Daniel "Dan" Mrdjenovich, 88, of Turtle Creek, died Saturday, April 22, 2000. A son of the late Steve and Stanka (Petrovich) Mrdjenovich. Husband of the late Ann (Vukasinovich) Mrdjenovich. Beloved Father of Mel and Robert Mrdjenovich. Brother of Nicholas and Charles Mrdjenovich, Mitzi Gibb, Melva Ligush, Walter Mrdjenovich and the late Donald and Milos Mrdjenovich, Diana Sonovick, Violet Lesnau, Michael, George and Joseph Mrdjenovich. Also eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Louise Pardi, 103, of Greensburg, died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at Sunnylands Retirement Center, Greensburg RD5. She was born March 23, 1897, in Leanize, Italy, a daughter of the late Gaetano and Guiedtto Zelli. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church and the Columbia Ladies Mutual. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sante "Sam" Pardi; two daughters , Julia Kucenic and Margaret Hasse; a brother, Didio; and a sister, Maria. Survived by a son, Joseph S. Pardi of Euclid, Ohio; two daughters , Florence Liddell and husband, Walter, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mary Hinton and husband, Dayne, of Palmdale, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; a brother, Vincent Zelli of Italy; and several nieces and nephews. FRANCES POSCICH VISNICK
Frances "Franie" Poscich Visnick, 81, of Delmont, died Sunday, April 23, 2000. She was born March 28, 1919, in Pleasant Valley, a daughter of the late Vincent and Pauline Susa Poscich. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Nick F. Visnick; and two brothers , Vincent and Albert Poscich. Franie was a member of the Delmont Firemen's Auxiliary, the Delmont Lioness Club, and the Delmont Women's Club. She is survived by a nephew, David and his wife, Donna Poscich, of Glastonbury, Conn.; and a niece, Mrs. Ruth (the late Vincent M.) Poscich of Greensburg. She is also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends. Friends will be received at the EDWIN N. JOSEPH E. COTTRELL SR.
Joseph E. Cottrell Sr., 81, of Grapeville, died Monday, April 24, 2000, in the St. Francis Medical Center, Pittsburgh. He was born Nov. 18, 1918, in Redstone Township, a son of the late Fred and Vesta Bush Cottrell. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a truck driver for Helms Express, and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a 40-year member of the First Baptist Church of Jeannette, its Baraca class, and was the recipient of the 1996 American Baptists Layman of the Year Award for Pennsylvania and Delaware. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 344 of Jeannette and the Teamsters retirees. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers , James, Jack and William Cottrell. He is survived by his wife, Florence Parnell Cottrell; four sons , George Cottrell and his wife, Glenna, of Latrobe, Joseph E. Cottrell Jr. of Jeannette, James Cottrell and his wife, Virginia, of Adamsburg and Daniel Cottrell and his wife, Reppa, of North Scituate, R.I.; two brothers , Fred Cottrell Jr. and his wife, Martha, of Whiting, N.J., and Robert Cottrell and his wife, Eleanor, of Grapeville; three sisters , Ida Mae Simmers of Macomb Township, Mich., VaLetta Bradosky and her husband, John, of Jeannette and Vera Cottrell of Greensburg; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. HERBERT WESLEY HENRY
Herbert Wesley Henry, 90, of Greensburg, formerly of Jeannette, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Aug. 2, 1909, in Jeannette. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the McKeesport Daily Newspaper. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Jeannette, F&AM Lodge 750 of Jeannette, the Shrine and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. Preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Kifer Henry; his second wife, Dolores A. Caldwell Henry; a daughter, Barbara Henry; a son, Robert L. Caldwell; three brothers , Daniel, Robert, and Edwin Henry; and three sisters , Margaret Thompson, Alice Kohl and Ruth Nelson. He is survived by a son, the Rev. Mark Henry and his wife, Karen, of Salisbury, Md.; a daughter, Joanne Painter and her husband, Jack, of Greensburg; a sister, Betty Detruf of New Jersey; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Harold W. "Dood" Jackson, 85, of Wilkins Township, on Monday, April 24, 2000. He was a retired locomotive engineer for Westinghouse, East Pittsburgh Plant. After retirement, he was a part-time employee of Best Seeds in Turtle Creek. Beloved husband of Catherine Drozdowski Jackson; and devoted Father of Norma Jean Rubash and husband, Duane, of Illinois, Marlene Croyle and husband, Warren, of Florida, and Mark Jackson and wife, Karen, of Chalfant. M. JENNIE MUDGE
M. Jennie Mudge, 91, of Latrobe, formerly of Schenectady, N.Y., died Monday, April 24, 2000, in Loyalhanna Care Center, Derry Township. Jennie moved to the area in 1984 to be close to her family. She was born Feb. 6, 1909, in Ravena, N.Y., a daughter of the late Fred R. and Saletta (Cornwell) Milbank. Prior to her retirement, Jennie was a postal worker in Schenectady and a keypunch operator for the New York State Department of Finance and Taxation. She was a member of the Latrobe United Methodist Church and a former member of and church organist for the Carman United Methodist Church near Schenectady. She also taught piano and organ, and had played for other churches in the Schenectady area including the Mont Pleasant Baptist Church. She was a member of the Latrobe Senior Citizens, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Carman V.F.D., a former member of the Annie Rebakuh Lodge in Schenectady, and was a volunteer at the Latrobe Area Hospital. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time at her vacation home in Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lauren Clyde Mudge Sr. in 1978; an infant daughter, Marlene Joan Mudge; a sister, Winifred Roat; and a nephew, William Roat. She is survived by her son, Lauren C. Mudge Jr. and his wife, Charlotte, of Latrobe; her granddaughter, Erica Mudge; her brother, Walter C. Milbank of Clifton Park, N.Y.; and two nieces, Mary June and Lynn. Betty K. (Sova) Nehls, 71, of Lemont Furnace, died Monday, April 24, 2000, at UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland. She was born Jan. 21, 1929, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Stash) Sova. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Nehls Sr., on Aug. 4, 1995; three sisters , Margaret Risner, Anna Mabus and Dorothy Zittney; and a brother, Lawrence Sova. Mrs. Nehls was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Uniontown and an avid pet lover, who enjoyed her dogs, Sam, Sophie and Luther, very much. She is survived by two sons , Kenneth E. Nehls Jr. of Lemont Furnace and Timothy Nehls and wife, Jennifer, of Franklin Township; two brothers , Ted Sova and wife, Vickie, of Hopwood and Michael Sova of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Genevieve Herbert and husband, Dorsey, of Chardon, Ohio; and many special nieces and nephews. Martina C. Suttle Nehrig, 81, of Irwin, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born July 11, 1918, in Pittsfield, Mass., a daughter of the late William and Martina Haller Suttle, and Gertrude Suttle. She was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Irwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Nehrig, in 1995. She is survived by two daughters , Diane Ramsey and her husband, Ronald, of North Irwin and Martina A. Funk and her husband, Walter, of Irwin; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters , Marion Loughner of Jeannette and Margaret Suttle of Connecticut; and a brother, William Suttle of Springfield, Mass. Also nieces and nephews. George W. Piper, 73, of Delmont, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Aug. 2, 1926, in Salem Township, a son of the late Howard F. and Ada (Wagner) Piper. George was a retired salesman for Prudential Insurance Co. A U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II, he was a member of the Delmont VFW Post #481 and a member of the Salem Lutheran Church of Delmont. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Lou Piper; three brothers , Leroy, Elsmer and Walter Piper; and two sisters , Catherine Piper and Marion Kane. George is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Doris M. (Rauch) Piper; two daughters , Karen Brandt and husband, Grafton, of North Carolina and Kathy Milligan and husband, Bill, of Georgia; three brothers , Jesse Piper and wife, Margaret, of New Kensington, John Piper of Greensburg and Frank Piper and wife, Jane, of Delmont; and six grandchildren, Kevin and wife, Kiersta, Matthew, Ryan, Casey, Michael and Meghan.
