James Prebola Sr., 42, of Meadowcrest, Trucksville, Kingston Township, died Sunday at his home.
Born in Kingston, he was the son of Andrew Prebola, of Orange, and Barbara Race Prebola, of Trucksville.
He attended the Dallas schools and was employed in construction work.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, the former Deborah Cook; sons , James Jr., Edwardsville; Jesse, Trucksville; brothers , Andrew and Jack, both of Trucksville; sister, Judy Simons, Orange; and one granddaughter.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 672 Memorial Highway, Dallas.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

PRITCHARD, WENDELL
December 11, 1999
Wendell Pritchard, 70, of St. Petersburg, Fla., a former resident of Wilkes-Barre and Kingston, died Saturday in Florida.
Born June 19, 1929, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late John and Lora Pritchard.
Before retiring to Florida, he worked at the family owned Top Hat diner in Kingston.
He was preceded in death by a brother, D. Richard.
Surviving are his wife, Arlayne; children, Cheryl, John and Lori; brothers , James and Earl; sister, Loraine; four grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held in Florida.
PRITCHYK, STELLA
October 30, 1999
Stella Pritchyk, of Old Forge, died Saturday at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton.
Born in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Sarah Uskavich Harelick.
She was a 1940 graduate of Old Forge High School.
Before retiring, she was employed by the Old Forge School District.
She was a member of St. Stephen the Protomartyr Russian Orthodox Church, Old Forge.
She and her husband, Steve Pritchyk, celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on May 11.
She was preceded in death by brothers , Nicholas, Peter and Andrew Connan; sisters , Olga Lachovich, Elizabeth Peregrim, Minnie Serniak and Sadie Yokomishyn.
Surviving in addition to her husband are sons , Stephen and Alexander, both of Chapman Lake; Ronald, Olyphant; sisters , Mary Shrive, Old Forge; Helen Kosko, Wilkes-Barre; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 N. Main St., Old Forge, with a funeral service at 9:30 a.m. in St. Stephen the Protomartyr Russian Orthodox Church, 641 Hickory St., Old Forge, with the Rev. Father German Ciuba officiating.
Interment will be in St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Old Forge.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Father Ciuba officiating.
Puchalsky, Anna

Anna (Puhlik) Puchalsky, 100, formerly of Shoemaker Street, Swoyersville, died Saturday in Summit Health Care Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born Aug. 23, 1899, in West Wyoming, she was the daughter of the late William and Maria Kral Shalata. She was one of the oldest members of Holy Name-St. Mary's Church, Swoyersville, where she was active in its Sacred Heart Society and Christian mother 's Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; daughter, Marcella (Mitzi) Gowisnock; sisters , Elizabeth Tomascik, Margaret Polk and Mary Shalata; brothers , William, George, Frank, Joseph, Michael and John; and half brother, Stephen.
Surviving are her sons , William Puchalsky, Swoyersville; John "Jack" Puhalsky, Trucksville; Thomas Puchalsky, Mechanicsburg; daughters , Anna Yonkondy, Elizabeth Vanyo and Barbara Ripa, all of Swoyersville; Thelma Evanko, Allentown, N.J.; twins, Lorraine Bebey, Levittown, and Lawrence Puhalsky, East Hartford, Conn.; 48 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Joseph L. Wroblewski Funeral Home, 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Name-St. Mary's Church. Josephine J. Puskar, of Church Street, Edwardsville, died Saturday at the Dorrance Manor, Kingston.
Born in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late John and Juliana (Hiznay) Puskar.
She was a graduate of Plymouth High School.
She was employed by the Internal Revenue Service in the Scranton office.
She was a member of St. Stephen's Church, Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Monsignor John M. Puskar; sisters , Ann Puskar and Mary Vaselin.
Surviving are her brother, Stephen Puskar, with whom she resided; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church.
Interment will be in the parish Cemetery, Lehman Township.

Quater, Helen

Helen Quater, 88, of South Grant Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Thursday at her home.
Born in Heidelberg, she was the daughter of Matthew and Petronella (Kades) Zagarauskas. She worked in the garment industry for many years for Ter San and Connie Lee factories. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, East South Street, Wilkes-Barre. She enjoyed writing poetry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; and sisters , Elizabeth Bower Pysmiak; and Margaret Mazaika.
Surviving are her daughter, Dorothy Ungvarsky; sisters , Ann Kozlawski, Philadelphia; Julia Lersch, Lansdowne; Katherine Milcavage, Trevorton; Alice Gillis, Van Etten, N.Y.; brother, William Brown, Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the John W. Frank Funeral Home, 124 S. Grant St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bear Creek. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
SARAH RADLE
Sarah Radle, of Foote Avenue in Duryea died Friday in Hospice of the VNA at Heritage House in Wilkes-Barre.
Born in New York City, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna Christakos.
She was a graduate of New York City schools.
Before retiring, she was employed by Topps Manufacturing Co. for 28 years.
She lived in New York City until moving to Duryea 38 years ago.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Radle, in 1982; daughter, Georgeanna Radle, brothers , Louis Christie, James Christie and John Christie; and sisters , Sally White and Dorothy Padula.
Surviving are her sons , Thomas Radle, North Plainfield, N.J.; Peter Radle, James Radle, Nick Radle and Louis Radle, all of Duryea; daughters , Marie Limbach, Kearney, Neb.; and Agnes Jumper, Shamokin; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers , Peter Christie and Charles Christie, both of New York City; sister, Nicky Azure, of New York City; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main St., Duryea with the Rev. Robert Wood, of the Brick United Methodist Church in Duryea, officiating.
Interment will be in Marcy Cemetery in Duryea.

Elizabeth T. Ranieli of Wilkes-Barre died Wednesday at her home.
Born in the Preston section of Hanover Township, she was daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Weinketz Callahan.
She was a graduate of Hanover Township Memorial High School and was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She was employed as a sales clerk by Bartikowsky Jewelers, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by brothers , Vincent, John, Dominick and Joseph; a sister, Catherine Macko.
Surviving are a daughter, Marie Hanko, Somers Point, N.J.; sons , Joseph, Hagerstown, Md.; Anthony "Tony," Ashley; six grandchildren; a sister, Mary Brown, and a brother, Michael Callahan, both of Hanover Township.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from the Leo P. Lehman Funeral Home, 689 Hazle Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church. Monsignor J. Duane Gavitt, pastor, will officiate.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Betty Jean Ransom, 77, formerly of Plymouth, died Monday at the Birchwood Nursing Center in Nanticoke.
Born July 19, 1921, in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Frease and Fanny (Lewis) Croop.
She resided in Wilkes-Barre for many years and was a graduate of Meyers High School, class of 1939.
She later returned to Plymouth, where she resided on Blair Street for many years.
She was a member of the Franklin Street Primitive Methodist Church, Plymouth, and its Sunday school.
She was employed by the Kiddie Shoppe/Clothes Horse Stores in Wilkes-Barre as a clerk for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer.
Surviving are her son, Dale Allen, Clarks Summit, and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, with the Rev. Donald Gilmore officiating.
Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
