Frank "Fritz" Olshefski Jr., 72, of Satsuma, Fla., died May 7 at Putnam Medical Center in Palatka, Fla.
Born and raised in Nanticoke, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Tronsue Olshefski.
He resided in Bethlehem until retiring from Bethlehem Steel in 1991 and had since resided in Satsuma.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John; a stepson, Terry Beck.
Surviving are his wife, Carol, Satsuma, Fla.; a son, Frank, Bethlehem; a daughter, Mary June Wisneski, Schnecksville; stepsons, Nevin Moyer, Allentown; Raymond Beck, Plantation, Fla.; stepdaughters, Nancy Dwinell, Vero Beach, Fla.; Annette Beck, White hall; brothers , Edward, Bethlehem; Chester, Manville, N.J.; Paul, Mountaintop; Robert, Freemansburg; Joseph, Nanticoke; sisters , Mrs. Henry (Pauline) Rishkofski, Mountaintop; Florence Grabowski, Mrs. Kenneth (Martina) Briggs and Mrs. Peter (Mary) Rynkiewicz, all of Nanticoke; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson.
Memorial services will be held June 6 in Bethlehem.
O'MALLEY, ANN
October 1, 1999
Ann B. O'Malley, formerly of Hawthorne Street, Avoca, died Friday at Wesley Village.
Born in Avoca, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Barrett) O'Malley.
She was a member of the first graduating class of St. Mary's School, Avoca. She also graduated from Avoca High School.
She was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for 30 years, during which time she resided in Brooklyn, N.Y.
She retired in 1973 and returned to Avoca, where she served as a volunteer teacher's aide at St. Mary's School for many years.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Avoca, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward O'Malley; sisters , Mary Dooner, Frances Goham and Catherine Grace.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Kniffen-O'Malley Funeral Home, Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Avoca.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Mary's School, Avoca, or to the Wesley Village.

FRANCES O'MELKO

Frances (Page) O'Melko, of Lathrop Court in Kingston, died Sunday in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born Dec. 1, 1919, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Angela (Knopczyk) Page.
She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, Wilkes-Barre.
She was employed as a waitress for many years at Dugan's Restaurant, Philadelphia, and at the former Mansfield Ballroom, Wilkes-Barre. She operated the former Kozy Korner Luncheonette, Bristol, for many years.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Maternity, Wilkes-Barre, and its Christian mother 's Society.
She was a member and past president of the Deborah Hospital Auxiliary, Bristol Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John Page; sisters , Ann Gentile, Tillie Lalus and Mary Bunsick.
Surviving are her husband, Vincent; brother, Joseph Page, Wilkes-Barre; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church of the Maternity, Wilkes-Barre.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Cameron Orr

Cameron Orr, 80, of Maidstone Way, Leisure Knoll, Lakehurst, N.J., formerly of Hatboro and Nanticoke, died Thursday at Crestwood Manor Health Care Facility, Whiting, N.J., where he was a guest for the past 10 months.
Born May 16, 1917, in Nanticoke, he attended the Nanticoke public schools and graduated from Nanticoke High School in 1936.
In 1935 he was selected to play on the East Side football squad in the annual East-West Side Shrine football game held at Meyers Stadium, Wilkes-Barre.
He attended Western Maryland College on an athletic scholarship and was on the football squad and the intercollegiate boxing team.
He graduated in 1942 with a bachelor of arts degree, majoring in English and social studies.
In 1942, he taught physical education at Aberdeen High School, Old Post Road High School, and Havre de Grace High School in Maryland.
From January 1945 to June 1980, in the Hatboro-Horsham School District, he was a teacher of mathematics, social studies, English, reading and the mentally retarded; a guidance counselor; principal of Loller Middle School; assistant football coach; head basketball coach; faculty manager of athletics; director of operations.
He did postgraduate studies at Temple University, Lehigh University, Penn State University and Christian College of Ohio, earning a master's degree in group dynamics and a doctorate in education administration.
In 1971 he was selected as a leader of American Secondary Education and in 1973 as a community leader and an outstanding American by the Secondary Educators Association.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of American Legion Post 350, Nanticoke.
He was active in Pennsylvania Little League, serving as manager, coach and player agent in addition to being the secretary of Pennsylvania Little League District 29.
In 1980, he retired and moved to Lakehurst, Manchester Township, N.J.
As a resident of Leisure Knoll, he was active in community affairs, including director of activities, softball, assembly, brunch bunch, shuffleboard, volleyball, travel club, trustee, Channel 12 TV news program, recycling program, billiards and bowling.
He served nine years as a member of the Manchester Township School Board.
In addition, he did volunteer work at the Ocean County Community College and was a trustee and head usher at the Lakehurst United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by brothers , Edmund and Raymond; a sister, Clara.
Surviving are his wife, the former H. Ruth Morgan, formerly of Nanticoke; a son, attorney Richard Orr, Mount Holly, N.J.; and a sister, Felecia Bieda, Nanticoke.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke, with the Rev. Glenn K. Miller, pastor of Lakehurst United Methodist Church, Lakehurst, N.J., officiating.
Interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery, Hanover Township, with the American Legion Post 350 according full military honors.

Orzel, Sister Gabriela C.P.

Sister Gabriela Orzel, C.P., 93, of St. Gabriel's Monastery, Passionist Nuns, Clarks Summit, died Sunday at the monastery.
Born March 7, 1906, in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Rosalia (Vienczkowski) Orzel.
She was educated in Scranton public schools.
She came to the monastery in 1935, and lived a life devoted to prayer, sacrifice and the support of the monastery until she fell ill in February.
Surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Mass will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday in St. Gabriel's Monastery, with the Very Rev. Cassian Yuhaus, C.P., rector of St. Ann's Basilica, officiating.
Interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Gabriel's Monastery Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Gabriel's Monastery, 631 Griffin Pond Road, Clarks Summit. Vespers services will be at 7 p.m.

Oshirak, Jane

Jane E. Oshirak, 78, of Scureman Street, Lyndwood section of Hanover Township, died Saturday at Hospice Care of the VNA Inpatient Unit, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in the Newtown section of Hanover Township, she was the daughter of the late George and Laura Dunlap Sartor.
She was a graduate of Hanover High School, class of 1939.
She retired from Anthracite Electric Supply Co. and also worked at Colours Paint and Wagner's Jewelry, both in Kingston.
She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and Shawnee Senior Citizens Group, both in Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; sisters , Myra Zampetti and Marian Hunter.
Surviving are her son, Michael, Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, Jane Sabalaske, Mountaintop; sister, Myrle Benning, South Hampton, Philadelphia; three grandchildren; nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the James Desiderio Funeral Home, Inc., 2 Academy Road, Marion Terrace, Hanover Township, with the Rev. Donald Littleton officiating.
Interment will be in St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery, Plymouth.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Michelle "Mo" Ostrowsky, 31, with a mailing address of RR 2, Meshoppen, died Sunday in the Hospice Unit of Mid-Valley Hospital, Peckville.
Born in Nov., 1967, in Wayne, N.J., she was the daughter of Bernard S. and Evelyn (Legas) Ostrowsky, of Meshoppen.
She was a graduate of Pine Bush High School, New York.
She was employed as a waitress at the Fireplace Restaurant, Tunkhannock.
She was a member of Nativity B.V.M. Church, Tunkhannock.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Benjamin Ostrowsky; maternal grandparents, George and Mary Legas, Wyoming.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are a daughter, Harley Rae Ostrowsky, at home; brother, Shawn, Meshoppen; paternal grandmother, Helen Ostrowsky, Bardwell; one sister-in-law, one nephew; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Mass at 11 a.m. in Nativity B.V.M. Church, Tunkhannock.
Interment will be in Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
