Miller, William

William T. "Scooch" Miller, 79, of Woodbury Street, Hanover Township, Wilkes-Barre, died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born Nov. 30, 1920, in Plymouth, he was the son of the late John J. and Elizabeth (Martz) Miller. He attended Plymouth schools and was a miner at Glen Alden Coal Co. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the Firwood United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre, United Mine Workers of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5267, Hanover Township, American Legion Post 609, Hanover Township, and the DAV.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Betty Turner Adams; son, William T., Jr., Alabama; daughters , Helen R. Whitaker, Wilkes-Barre; Barbara Jean Serra, Ashley; and Sandra Hauser, Williamsport; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild; sister, Dorothy Woodward, New York; an aunt, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, with services at noon at the Firwood United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Louise Millington

Louise M. (Faltyn) Millington, 82, of Concord, Mass., died Friday at her home.
Born Dec. 7, 1915, in Exeter, she was daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline (Grauzlis) Faltyn.
She attended and graduated from Exeter parochial schools.
Before she retired, she was employed as a lab assistant at the Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, N.J., for many years.
After residing in Dover for more than 50 years, she moved to Concord in 1985.
She was a member of the West Concord Womans Club and enjoyed needlework.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Millington, in 1963.
Surviving are a daughter, Beth Ann Kenyon, Longboar Key, Fla.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers , Anthony Faltyn, Pittston; Raymond Faltyn, Wilkes-Barre; sisters , Rosalie Ferro, Wilkes-Barre; and Anna O'Keefe, Levittown.
Funeral services were held May 4 in the Farrar Chapel of the Joseph Dee & Son Funeral Home, Concord. The Rev. Mary Bettencourt officiated.
Memorial donations may be made to the Emerson Hospice Program, Concord, Mass.
MINK, JENNIE

Mrs. Jennie (Minkiewicz) Mink, of Roosevelt Street in Edwardsville, died Tuesday at Valley Crest Nursing Center in Plains Township.
She was born in Edwardsville, the daughter of the late John and Anna Burim Margavage, and attended Edwardsville Schools. She resided in Kenvil, N.J. from 1966 to 1995.
Mrs. Mink was formerly employed in the local garment industry. She was a member of St. Hedwig's Church in Kingston.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Frank M. Minkiewicz; and brothers , Anthony and Simon Yanuska and Raymond Margavage.
Surviving are her daughters , Joan Mrak, with whom she resided; Rita Doonan, Kenvil, N.J.; and Maxine Sembrat, Edwardsville; grandchildren, Anne Secula, Stephen, Daria and John P. Sembrat, Mary Medina, and Thomas, John and Kathleen Doonan; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Hillary and Sean Secula, Monica Strange, Stephanie Medina and Nathan Sembrat.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Hedwig's Church. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery in Dallas.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening.
MISHKIN, MARY
November 3, 1999
Mary Loch Mishkin, 85, of Charleston, S.C., died Nov. 3.
She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Amelia (Loeffler) Loch.
She graduated from Hanover High School in Hanover Township, and Kings County Hospital School of Nursing, Brooklyn in N.Y.
She resided in Watertown, N.Y., most of her adult life before moving to St. Petersburg, Fla., after retirement.
She was preceded in death by her sisters , Betty Finn and Ann Loch.
Surviving are her husband, Dr. J.A. Mishkin, Charleston; her children, Dr. David Mishkin, Charleston; Judith Mishkin Miller, Miami; and Sandra Mishkin Siefert, Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren; brothers , Frank J., Edwardsville; Leonard W., Moorestown, N.J.; and Earl G., Laflin; and sister, Helen Roberts, Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral services were at the convenience of the family in Charleston.
Teofil Miskiewicz
April 15, 1998
Teofil Miskiewicz, 88, a guest at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas, died Wednesday at the center.
He was a resident of Philadelphia for most of his life and moved to the Back Mountain area following his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Vedor Miskiewicz, in 1984; a son, Donald.
There are no immediate survivors.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Holy Trinity Cemetery Chapel, Nanticoke, with the Rev. Benjamin Toloczko officiating.
Arrangements are by the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 672 Memorial Highway, Dallas.
FRANK MISLAK
April 20, 1999
Frank C. Mislak, 80, of Ludlow, Mass., formerly of Kingston, died April 20 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Northampton, Mass.
He was the son of the late Charles and Stella Mislak of Kingston.
He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, stationed as a sergeant major in the Second Bombardment Group in Europe. He received the Distinguished Unit Badge.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, the former Rose Kasak; sons , Frank, Cohoes, N.Y.; James, Ludlow; and Michael, Ludlow; daughter, Mary Lou Casson, Granby, Mass.; nine grandchildren; brothers , Anthony and Chester, both of Kingston; and sister, Lottie Davis, Exeter.
Funeral services were April 23 at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home and Christ the King Church, both in Ludlow. Interment was in Island Pond Cemetery in Ludlow.
Mitchell, James

James T. Mitchell, 73, of James Street, Kingston, died Sunday in the Hospice Care of the VNA Inpatient Unit at the Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre, after an illness.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late John and Janet (Richmond) Mitchell.
He was a graduate of Kingston High School and Patton Masonic School, Elizabethtown, and attended Wilkes College.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific.
He was a lifelong resident of Kingston.
He was employed as a food broker for 45 years, most recently with Delhert Craig Food Services, Wilkes-Barre Township.
He was a member of the Church of Christ Uniting, Kingston, the Landmark Lodge No. 442 F&AM, Wilkes-Barre, Shekinah Royal Arch Chapter 182 and the National Food Brokers Association.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John.
Surviving are his wife, the former Shirley Williams, with whom he celebrated their 52nd anniversary Saturday; daughter, Sherry Mack, Kingston; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with the Rev. Gregory C. Myers, pastor of the Church of Christ Uniting, Kingston, officiating.
Interment will be in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

A nne F. Jejunas Molitoris, of the Lincoln Heights section of Hanover Township, died Thursday at her home, following an illness.
Born in the Hanover section of Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late John and Frances Tomasonis Jejunas.
She was a graduate of Hanover High School, class of 1935.
A lifelong resident of Hanover Township, she resided in Lincoln Heights for the past 21 years. She was employed by Martz Trailways.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Ashley, and the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Casimir's Church, Lyndwood, Hanover Township.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Nella Jejunas.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Anthony J.; daughters , Ann and Donna, at home; son, Dr. Anthony T., Hanover Green, Hanover Township; brother, Frank Jejunas, Buttonwood, Hanover Township; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church.
Interment will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Muhlenburg.

Anna H. Monka, 87, of Haddon Heights, N.J., formerly of Swoyersville, died Saturday at Lady of Lords Hospital, Camden, N.J.
Born Dec. 29, 1912, in Swoyersville, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Lucy (Lutsko) Howatch. She attended Swoyersville schools and was a member of Holy Family Parish, the former St. John's Church, Luzerne.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John T.; sister, Mary Hendricks; and brothers , John, Steven, Joseph and Frank Howatch.
Surviving are her daughter, Irene Zoranski, Haddon Heights, N.J.; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sisters , Veronica Strenfel, Helen Mussel and Betty Baloh, all of Luzerne; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 420 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, St. John's Church. The Rev. Robert Arnold will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton, Kingston Township. Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday.
