Charles S. Kowalski, 76, of Italy Street, Mocanaqua, died Wednesday at Berwick Hospital Center.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Mayo Funeral Home, Inc., Shickshinny, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Mocanaqua. Interment will be in the parish Cemetery, Mocanaqua. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday.
KOWALSKI, MARGARET
October 27, 1999
Margaret Kowalski, of Walnut Street in Luzerne died Wednesday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Kucinsky.
She was a graduate of St. Ann's Academy. She was employed at several local offices and retired from RCA in Mountaintop.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Luzerne.
Surviving are her husband, Julius; son, John, and daughter, Tina, both at home; and sister, Irene Jones, Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday from the Lehman-Gregory Funeral Home, Inc., 281 Chapel St., Swoyersville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church in Luzerne.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
Friends may call from 8 a.m. until the time of services Friday.
KOWATCH, MARION

Marion B. Kowatch of Richard Street, Kingston, died Monday in Hospice Care of VNA Inpatient Unit, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Mekula) Hadvance.
She was a graduate of GAR Memorial High School and was formerly employed by Carter Footwear.
She was preceded in death by brothers , John and George.
Surviving are her husband, Albert J. Kowatch; brothers , James Hadvance, Kingston; Robert Hadvance, Daniel Hadvance, and Richard Hadvance, all of Wilkes-Barre; sisters , Evelyn Pisano, Old Forge; Nancy Roche, Carteret, N.J.; Dorothy Ann Martinelli, Patricia Bottger, Linda Woods, and Lynn Hadvance, all of Wilkes-Barre; and Denise Weissman, Alabama.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday from the A.J. Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with a memorial mass at 10:30 a.m. in the Resurrection of the Lord PNC Church.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
A wake service will be conducted at 5:30 PM Wednesday with the Rev. Father Czeslaw Kuliczkowski, Ph.D. officiating.
Interment will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
Koza, Catherine

Catherine (Mikloiche) Koza, 89, of Mayfield, died Saturday at Lackawanna County Health Care, Blakely.
Born Sept. 28, 1910, in Dundaff, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Peter and Dorothy Mikloiche.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Mayfield.
She was preceded in death by her brothers , Peter, Michael, Thomas, Stephen, Andrew and Anthony; and sisters , Mary Lavranchuk, Anna Bochniak and Alice Swika.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Laurence Koza Sr.; daughter, Alice Jones, Dupont; sons , Billy, Chagrin, Ohio; and Larry Jr., Tampa, Fla.; brother, Joseph Mikloiche, Land-O-Lakes, Fla.; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday from the Ryczak-Harrison Funeral Home Inc., 901 Lackawanna Ave., Mayfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, with the Rev. Joseph Sitko officiating.
Interment will be in mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Carbondale.

Carl E. Kozak, of South Fulton Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Plains, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Kozak.
He attended Wilkes-Barre city schools and resided for most of his life in Wilkes-Barre.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was employed as general manager of Luzerne Sportswear, Wilkes-Barre, for 27 years.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Maternity, Wilkes-Barre, and American Legion Post 815, Wilkes-Barre Township.
He was preceded in death by brothers Stanley and John; sisters Lottie Kozak and Bertha Battaglini.
Surviving are his wife, the former Anastasia Pachick; daughter, Carol Kozak, Wilkes-Barre; two grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Veronica Woyton, Mountaintop; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday from the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church of the Maternity, Wilkes-Barre.
Interment will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, Hanover Township.

Geraldine Kozischek

Geraldine Slabinski Kozischek, 61, of Easton, died Monday at her home.
Born Feb. 12, 1937, in Plains Township, she was the daughter of Frank and Jessie Luckenbach Slabinski of Plains Township.
She graduated from College Misericordia in 1958 with a bachelor of science degree in music education.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Easton.
She was self-employed as a piano teacher. She was a manager of the former Horn's of Easton and Palmer Township.
She and her husband, Charles R. Kozischek, celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on Aug. 16.
Surviving, in addition to her husband and parents, are a son, Kenneth C. Kozischek, Bronx, N.Y.; daughters , Karen L. Kijak, Allentown; Suzanne L. Kozischek, Philadelphia; a sister, Lorraine S. Cappuccio, Hammonton, N.J.; two grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 7 p.m. today in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Davis and St. Joseph's streets, Easton.
Private interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton, Kingston Township.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 129 Davis St., Easton, 18044.
The Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 602 W. Berwick Street, Easton, is in charge of arrangements.
VERONICA KOZLOWSKI
Veronica Kozlowski, 73, of White Haven, died Saturday at her home.
Born in White Russia, the Ukraine, she came to America at an early age.
A former resident of New Jersey, she resided in White Haven for the past seven years.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, White Haven.
Surviving are her husband, Wladyslaw; daughter, Wanda Knipp, Florida; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Joseph E. Lehman Funeral Home, Inc., 403 Berwick St., White Haven, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, White Haven, with the Rev. Stephen Stavoy officiating.

Mary E. (Kovalick) Krakosky, of Sullivan Street in Swoyersville died Wednesday at ManorCare Health Services in Kingston.
A daughter of the late George and Mary (Kovalick) Kovalick, she was a lifelong resident of Swoyersville and attended Holy Trinity School in Swoyersville. Before her retirement, she was a seamstress at Slocum Dress Factory. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Church in Luzerne.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; brothers , John and George; and sisters , Margaret Kovalick and Ann Remaykis.
Surviving are her daughters , Mary Ann Prusakowski, Blakeslee; Carol Hrobaski, Swoyersville; and Barbara Lulis, Bethlehem; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Bernard Kovalik, Swoyersville; and sister, Susan Kawalkewicz, Swoyersville.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from the Joseph L. Wroblewski Funeral Home, 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Church. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery in Courtdale.

Norina M. Krall of the Hilldale section of Plains Township, died Tuesday at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Hilldale, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Mary Amanti Canterini.
She was a life resident of Plains Township.
She was a member of St. Mark's Church, Inkerman, Jenkins Township.
She was formerly employed in the garment industry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Krall, in 1988; brothers , Nello, Peter and Elmo; a sister, Rebella Triani.
Surviving are sons , Ronald S. Krall, Huntington, Long Island, N.Y.; Gerald F. Krall, Hilldale; Stephen D. Krall, Spring City; a sister, Nora Pega, Swoyersville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday from the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, Inkerman.
Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Exeter.
