ARLETHA B. CURRY
Arletha B. Curry, 76, a resident of Huntingdon Ridge Nursing Home, Memory Care Residence, North Huntingdon, formerly of Jeannette and Allemans, died Friday, March 3, 2000, at the home. She retired as manager of Shrader's Dairy Queen, Jeannette, in 1985, being employed 15 years. She was born Dec. 3, 1923, in Reade Township, a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Flora G. (Thompson) Glasgow. On March 4, 1944, in Houtzdale, she married Rex W. Curry, who died March 12, 1994. She was also preceded in death by three brothers , Edwin, Wilfred and Calvin; two sisters , Geraldine Hanna and Alverta; and a granddaughter, Amber Renee Dowdrick. Surviving are four daughters , Irene J. Chishko, Carol L. Curry, Linda C. Gamble and Jill A. Dowdrick; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters , Isabelle Fox and Rosella North, both of Allemans. Mrs. Curry graduated from Madera High School. Friends will be received Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McQUOWN FUNERAL HOME, Glasgow, where services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dale Russell officiating. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Allemans.
RICHARD R. DENARO
Richard R. DeNaro, 62, of Latrobe, died Friday, March 3, 2000, in the Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Jan. 11, 1938, in Greensburg, a son of Martha Jablonsky DeNaro of Latrobe and the late John D. DeNaro. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by the Hockensmith Co., and later by Kennametal Inc. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Latrobe, and had served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. In addition to his mother , he is survived by his wife, with whom he would have celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on April 26, 2000, Lorrean C. Levendusky DeNaro; two daughters , Dona M. DeNaro of Latrobe and Dyan L. DeNaro of Indiana, Pa.; a brother, Francis L. and his wife, Karen E. DeNaro, of Elliottsburg; two sisters -in-law, Gertrude and her husband, Lawrence Enick, of Penn and Loretta M. Levendusky of Latrobe; a brother-in-law, Thomas and his wife, Rose Levendusky, of South Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Latrobe, with the Rev. Thomas M. Lukac as celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Clair Mausoleum, Hempfield Township.

Annunsio DeStefano, 86, of Penn Township, died Saturday, March 4, 2000, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 17, 1914, in Montella, Italy, a son of the late Mark and Orsola DeStefano. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a laborer for Westinghouse Air Brake in Wilmerding. He was a member of St. Barbara Church in Harrison City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard DeStefano; and a sister, Nellie DiBiase. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Esther Caputo DeStefano; a son, Mark L. and wife, Lisa DeStefano, of Latrobe; a daughter, Regina M. and husband, Mark Schmiedel, of Plum; a sister, Caroline DiBiase of Wall; and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Jason. Friends will be received at the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Harrison City, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Barbara Church with the Rev. Helen M. Gordish, 88, of Elders Ridge, Pa., died Saturday, March 4, 2000, in Indiana Hospital, Indiana, Pa. She was born Jan. 1, 1912, in Hungary, a daughter of the late John and Julia Bozo. She was an employee of Federal Laboratories, Tunnelton, where she worked in the hose clamp department, retiring in the late 1980s. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Kent. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Gordish, in 1982; and a brother, Anton Bozo. Survivors include a sister, Mary Bozo of Iselin, Pa.; nephews, Joseph Bosch Jr. and John Bosch, both of Elders Ridge, James Bosch of Blairsville and John Bozo of Slickville; and a niece, Margarita Tuzi of Saltsburg. Delores A. "Dee" Heyman, 64, of Harrison City, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 3, 2000, after a yearlong battle with cancer. Born on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 1936, in Beaver Falls, she was a daughter of the late William R. and Nellie Stedina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers , Frank M. Stedina and Robert W. Stedina. She was a member of St. Barbara Roman Catholic Church in Harrison City. Surviving are her husband, Paul R. Heyman; four sons , Timothy P. Heyman and his wife, Julianne, of Cranberry Township, Dennis R. Heyman and his wife, Karen, of Ephrata, Joseph D. Heyman and his wife, Heather, of West Chester and Samuel E. Heyman at home; a daughter and son-in-law, Paula A. (Heyman) and Glen Maxwell of Etters; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lois (Stedina) Cujas of Ford City and Cassie (Stedina) and Frank Steffine of Beaver; two brothers , William Stedina and his wife, Pauline, and Edward Stedina and his wife, Regina, all of Beaver Falls; eight grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. DONALD H. KREY
On Friday, March 3, 2000, his 86th birthday, Donald H. Krey, beloved husband of 62 years of Alice L. (Weitzel) Krey of Avalon, formerly of Ben Avon. Also survived by loving children, Donald C. Krey of Allentown, Pa., Roger H. Krey and his wife, Darlene, of McCandless and Karen L. Krey of Milwaukee, Wis.; grandchildren, Karen Ann Vecchio, Christopher, Ryan and Donald P. Krey and Julie Ann and Jaime Krey; and great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Xavier Vecchio. Raised in the Regent Square section of Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Harry and Grace Ryan Krey. Mr. Krey was a graduate of Carnegie Tech, now Carnegie Mellon School of Engineering. He captained the tennis team and was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He later served the Carnegie Mellon Alumni Association. He was retired from International Staple and Machine Company. He had previously held a similar position at Homestead Valve Company. Earlier, he had owned Vic Agnew and Associates, and had been a partner with Luther Stevens in McKnight Hardware. He was a member of the Engineers Society of Western Pennsylvania and the Smaller Manufacturers Council. An accomplished musician, he played piano and organ in venues as diverse as the Pittsburgh Athletic Association and his church, the Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon, where he also had served as an Elder. A 32nd Degree Mason, he was a member of Avalon Lodge #657 F&AM and of the Syria Shrine. Earlier in his life he had served as president of the Avonworth school board. He was an avid golfer and a member of Shannopin Country Club since 1943. At age 59, he was Western Pennsylvania Senior Amateur Champion, an event held at Oakmont Country Club. Martha Murray, 78, of Dickerson Run, died Friday night, March 3, 2000, in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born in Dickerson Run, June 20, 1921, a daughter of the late Jesse and Ruth Humbert Pratt. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Dawson, the Altar and Rosary Society, and was a retired employee of the former Metzler's Department Store, the Pittsburgh Forging of Coraopolis, and the dental office of Dr. DeHaas. She graduated from the former Dunbar Township High School, Class of 1939. Surviving are a sister, Ruth Ann Puskar and husband, John "Skip," of Dawson; a brother, James E. Pratt and his wife, Rita, of Connellsville; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, Dawson, Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. and Monday until 9 a.m., when a prayer service will be held, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception R.C. Joseph Nicolette Sr., 89, of Belle Vernon, died Saturday, March 4, 2000, in the Jefferson Center Hospital, Jefferson Borough. He was born April 10, 1910, in Belle Vernon, a son of the late John and Julia (Bonasso) Nicolette. Mr. Nicolette was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Monessen. He was a member of the MARS Club in Monessen. He is survived by his wife, Susan Moore Nicolette; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Marie Nicolette of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Theresa J. Ninchak of Belle Vernon and Peggy and Ron Sapko of Smithton; three brothers , Frank, John and Anthony Nicolette, all of Belle Vernon; three sisters , Theresa Bandini of Bethel Park, Jeannette Loreski of Donora and Angela Giannetti of Monessen; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Robert S. O'Hara, 79, of Latrobe, died Friday, March 3, 2000, at home. He was born Jan. 29, 1921, in Derry, a son of the late Joseph D. and Ernestine Roble O'Hara. He was a member of Holy Family Church, Latrobe, and had retired from Latrobe Steel Co. A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, and was a member of American Legion Post 515, Latrobe, and Latrobe Steel Retirees #1537. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers , Joseph, Clifford and Kenneth O'Hara; and a sister, Margaret O'Hara. He is survived by his wife, Helen Baldonieri O'Hara; a daughter, Claudia O'Hara of Latrobe; two sons , Jeffrey B. O'Hara and his wife, Karen, of Latrobe and Brian D. O'Hara and his wife, Kvonn, of Latrobe; two brothers , Harry O'Hara of Derry and Vaughan O'Hara of Maryland; two sisters , Louise Anderson of California and Dorothy Mapel of Latrobe; and four grandchildren, Molly, Lauren, Kevin and Daphney. Kenneth M. Reed, 59, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Stahlstown, died Friday, March 3, 2000, at his residence. He was born Nov. 25, 1940, in Cook Township, a son of the late Jesse and Myra Grove Reed. He was formerly employed by Turner Construction of Pittsburgh, and was a member of Labor Union Local 373. He was preceded in death by two sisters , Wilma Ankney and Louella Raleigh. He is survived by three sons , Kenneth L. and his wife, Jody, of Greensburg, Rex and his wife, Jackie, of Mammoth and Chadd and his fiancee, Michelle Adams, of Telluride, Colo.; four grandchildren, Tony, Samantha, Nathan and Travis Reed; two sisters , Helen Monticue and her husband, Wayne, and June Gross and her husband, Richard, all of Stahlstown; a brother, Carl Reed and his wife, Jane, of Rector; and a loving companion, Marilyn Devlin.
