Michael Felch Jr., 77, of E. Green Street, Nanticoke, died Sunday at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Lower Askam, Hanover Township, he was a son of the late Michael and Eleanor (Menjak) Felch.
He was a 1940 graduate of Hanover Township High School.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific.
He worked as a foreman for Pennsylvania Gas & Water Co. for 35 years.
He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, Nanticoke, the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Patrician.
Surviving are his wife, the former Irene Lawrence; sons , Paul, at home; and Eugene, Nanticoke; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Grontkowski Funeral Home P.C., 51-53 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church.
Interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery.

FENNER, RONALD

Ronald Gene Fenner, of East Enterprise Street, Glen Lyon, Newport Township, died Thursday at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born Feb. 27, 1952, in Newark, N.J., he was the son of the late Boyd and Eunice (Wright) Fenner.
He was self-employed.
Surviving are his wife, the former Karen Brooks; children, George and Charles Brooks and Tina Fenner-Robertson, all of Nanticoke; Pamela Brooks, Waldorf, Md.; brothers , Robert Glasson, Woodbridge, N.J.; Michael Fenner, Glen Lyon; Boyd Fenner Jr., West Nanticoke; Raymond Fenner, Nanticoke; Harry and Stewart Fenner, both of Ashley; sister, Carla Fenner, West Nanticoke; Irene Fenner, Virginia; and five grandchildren.

Anna Elizabeth Fenner, 64, of Rodgers Avenue, Ashley, died Saturday at her home.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence (Crumley) Sapek.
She was educated in the Wilkes-Barre area schools and was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd L. Fenner, Sr.; five infant children; and sister, Josephine.
Surviving are her daughters , Florence George, Hunlock Creek; Irene McKenney, Chesapeake, Va.; Carla Neberdosky, West Nanticoke; sons , Boyd, Jr., Hunlock Creek; Raymond, Nanticoke; Harry and Stewart, both of Ashley; step sons , Ronald and Michael, both of Glen Lyon; sisters , Marie Fusatolia, New Jersey; Irene Wiggles, Georgia; brother, John Nafus, California; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Leo P. Lehman Funeral Home, 689 Hazle Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Canon Donald J. Muller, of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Regina Ferentino of Barber Street, Old Forge, died Monday at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, after an illness.
Born in Scranton, she was daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Czerchowna Dziegielewski.
She attended Scranton Catholic schools and was a graduate of Lackawanna Beauty School.
Before she retired, she was employed by Mr. Dan's and the Globe Store, both in Scranton.
She was a member of the Old Forge Senior Citizens, St. Mary's Church in Old Forge, and its Altar & Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ferentino, in 1956, and one brother.
Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Shandra, with whom she resided; a son, Thomas, Windham, N.H.; a sister, Marie Snopek, Cynthinanna, Ky.; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, West Grace Street, Old Forge.
Interment will be in Old Forge Cemetery.

PAUL FILIPCZAK
Paul (Phillips) Filipczak, formerly of Bennett Street in Luzerne, died Wednesday at Meadows Nursing Center in Dallas.
Born in Luzerne, he was a son of the late Peter and Catherine Filipczak.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Luzerne.
Before retiring, he was employed by Sgarlett Sand and Gravel in Forty Fort. He had previously been employed at various coal mines in the area.
He was a member of Cider Painters of America and of Sue Hand Imagery in Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Shirlow; sister, Gertrude Sgarlett; and brother, Leonard Phillips.
Surviving are his wife, the former Stella Romanowski; daughter, Jean Romano, Staten Island, N.Y.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Irene Gryziec, Philadelphia.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the Lehman-Gregory Funeral Home Inc., 281 Chapel St., Swoyersville with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery in Lehman Township.

Betty Finan

Betty R. Finan, 71, of Wilmot Township, Bradford County, died Monday at Memorial Hospital, Towanda.
Born in Peru, Ind., Jan. 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late George and Inez Green Roop.
She and her husband, Robert E. Finan, celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary last summer. She was a homemaker.
She was an active bowler in the women's 9 p.m. bowling league in Wyalusing for 25 years.
She was also a member of the Colley Grange for 35 years.
She was a member of St. Basil's Catholic Church, Dushore.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ellen Lampert; brother, Richard Roop.
Surviving are her husband, Robert E., at home; sons James, Hilliard, Fla.; Thomas R. Finan, New Albany; Kenneth Finan, Forkston; Robert J. Finan, New Albany; daughters Mary Norton, Mildred; Ann Fitzgerald, Dushore; sister Georgia McDougle, Mexico, Ind.; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Basil's Church, Dushore, with the Rev. Patrick J. McLaughlin officiating.
Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Cummiskey.

Louise C. Fisher, a former resident of Plymouth and Forty Fort, died Friday at the Hampton House, Hanover Township.
Born March 26, 1905, in Luzerne, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Nellie Moses Hendershot. She attended Plymouth schools and was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer T.; brother, Loren; and sister, Mary Sargent.
Surviving are her sons , Thomas, Wilkes-Barre; Walter, Ann Arbor, Mich.; daughters , Barbara Fisher, Forty Fort; Marylin Graham, Bay City, Texas ; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Clyde Lee officiating. Interment will be in Forty Fort Cemetery.
JAMES FITZPATRICK
James J. Fitzpatrick, of Union Street, Pittston, died Sunday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital following an illness.
Born in Avoca, he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Mary Boland Fitzpatrick.
Before retiring, he was employed for 30 years as a car inspector for the Lehigh Valley Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway-Trainmen.
He was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Church, its Holy Name Society and the Marian Club, Pittston.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 372; a Fourth Degree member of the President John F. Kennedy Assembly, Pittston; and a member of the Greater Pittston Friendly sons of St. Patrick.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Ann Dougher; brothers , Jeremiah, Patrick and John; sisters , Mary Breslin and Betty Powell.
Surviving are his daughters , Shirley Halford and Rosemary McHale, and son, James Jr., all of Pittston; sister, Joan Cituk, Avoca; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Paul F. Leonard Funeral Home, 575 N. Main St., Pittston, with Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Help of Christians Church, Pittston.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Florek, Elizabeth

Elizabeth "Ellie" Florek, 95, formerly of Ridge Street, Ashley, died Friday at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre.
Born May 4, 1904, in Mountaintop, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Sabina Kuchar Plesko. She attended a one-room schoolhouse in Mountaintop, Fairview Township, and was a lifelong resident of Ashley.
She was the oldest member of Holy Rosary Church, Ashley, and was an honorary member of St. Ann's Guild, where she served in all of its offices. She was an honorary member of the Altar & Rosary Society, St. Vincent dePaul Society and Sacred Heart Society. She was a former member of the Senior Citizens Club of St. Leo's Church, Ashley. She was a member of the Ladies Quilter Club of Holy Rosary Church and was active in many church activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Tacky" Florek Sr.; son, Joseph E. Florek Jr.; sisters , Sabina Antonick and Mary "Mamie" Ferentz; brothers , Andrew and Edward F. Skolnick and George J. Plesko.
Surviving are her son, James J. Florek, Bridgewater, N.J.; brother, Paul Plesko, Brandon, Fla.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. The Rosary will be recited at 2 p.m., with the Rev. John Samson officiating.
