Ruth Evelyn Evans, 72, of Vosburg Road, Tunkhannock, died Thursday at her home.
Born July 12, 1927, in Evans Falls, she was a daughter of the late John Harding Moyer Sr. and Clara Casterline Moyer. She worked at the Endicott Johnson Shoe Factory and was of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis; and sister, Eleanor Jean Moyer.
Surviving are her daughter, Diana Williams, Factoryville; four grandchildren; sister, Mary E. Stone, Meshoppen; and brothers , Clyde Moyer, Sr., Evans Falls; Theodore Paul Moyer, Elmira, N.Y.; and the Rev. John Harding Moyer Jr., Oklahoma .
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, Tunkhannock. Interment will be in Orcutts Grove Cemetery, Noxen. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
EVANS, ROSE MARIE

Rose Marie A. Evans, 65, of Steele Street in the Hanover Green section of Hanover Township, died Thursday at her home.
Born Feb. 15, 1934, in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of Catherine Major Stock and the late James Stock.
She was last employed by the Thrift Drug Store in the Hanover Mall.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Richard D.; daughters , Patricia Krivak, Dupont; Rose Marie Cimini, Duryea; and Cathy Lynn, Dallas; son, Richard D., Plymouth Township; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, John, Naples, Fla.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday from the Charles V. Sherbin Funeral Home, 620 Main Road, Hanover Green section of Hanover Township, with the Rev. Francis Parmentari, of First Assembly of God Church in Plymouth, officiating.
Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Sweet Valley.

Evans, "Charlie"

Charlie" William C. Evans, 78, of Ridley Township, died Wednesday at Riddle Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wilkes Barre, he was a resident of Ridley Township since 1946.
He was employed as an auto mechanic, first working at the Holmes Service Station in 1953. He bought the business in the early 1970s and was the owner/operator of Holmes Service Station until his retirement in 1988.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a bombardier with the Eighth Air Force in England, and flew 31 combat missions over Germany. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters for his combat service.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7213 in Norwood, the American Legion in Yeadon, the Holmes Leisure Club, Prospect Lodge 578 F&AM in Prospect Park, and the Square Club, and was a longtime member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Norwood.
Surviving are his wife, Edna M. Evans; son, Charles, Morton; daughters , Gail Woerner, Woodlyn; Linda Evans and Beth Carroll, both of Morton; and Brenda Cole, Aston; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, in Norwood. Burial will be private.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 this evening.

Evans, Robert

Robert D. Evans, 66, of Rear South Main Street, Preston section of Hanover Township, died Thursday at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born Dec. 14, 1933, in Nanticoke, he was a son of the late Robert Thomas Sr., and Jean (Frantz) Evans. He attended school in Nanticoke and worked for Carter Footwear, Inc. in the maintenance department. He attended Methodist Church, Courtdale.
He was preceded in death by his brothers , William and Ralph; and sister, Dorothy Ann Powell.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Celia Powell; sister, Jean Novak, Sheatown; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday from the George A. Strish, Inc., Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley, with Pastor Carol E. Coleman officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
FARRELL, WILLIAM

William Joseph Farrell, 79, of Avoca, died Thursday in the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born July 13, 1920, in Avoca, he was the son of the late Patrick L. and Marguerite Reilly Farrell.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Avoca.
He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II and was a member of the Avoca Veterans of Foreign War Post 607, the American Legion Post 0945, Wilkes- Barre, and the Luzerne County Association for the Blind.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John P. Farrell; and sisters , Peggy Ann Farrell and Rose Ann Farrell.
Surviving are a sister, Patricia Nagle, Colts Neck, N.J.; a nephew, Leon Murray, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews locally.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home Inc., 728 Main St., Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m in St. Mary's Church, Avoca.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
The Reverend Joseph Elston will officiate.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Fear, Howard

Howard J. Fear Jr., 88, of Parke Street, West Pittston, died Wednesday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
Born, Dec. 27, 1911, in Scranton, he was the son of the late Howard J., Sr., and Mary Ann (Shotton) Fear. He graduated from West Pittston High School, Wyoming Seminary School of Business, and the Penn State Extension and attended International Correspondence School. He worked for PP&L, Scranton, until retiring in 1975. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of The First United Methodist Church, West Pittston, where he was church treasurer and a member of the Board of Trustees and the church choir. Active in various civic organizations throughout the community, he was past president of the Pittston Kiwanis Club and a former member of the West Pittston School Board.
He was preceded in death by his sisters , Carolyn Fear and Cathran J. Fear.
Surviving are his wife, the former Doris Evans; daughters , Carol Richards, Durham, N.C,; and Sally Zemanek, Newton; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church, West Pittston. The Rev. Robert J. Herrala will officiate. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, West Pittston. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, West Pittston.

Marie A. Fedock, 47, of Philadelphia, died Saturday at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Larksville, she was the daughter of Josephine (Ostrowski) Fedock, of the Breslau section of Hanover Township, and the late Joseph Fedock.
Surviving, in addition to her mother , are her fiance, Charles Frost, Philadelphia; sisters , Barbara Vnuk, Plymouth; Diane Bryant, Raleigh, N.C.; brothers , Joseph, Texas ; Edward, Breslau; nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County or to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 34th and Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, 19104.

FEDORCHAK, PHILIP and HSIAO-MI

Philip J. Fedorchak, 41, of New York City, formerly of Lopez, and his wife, Hsiao-Mi (Lee) Fedorchak, were fatally injured Monday as a result of the earthquake in Izmit, Turkey, where Philip Fedorchak was employed as a supervisor for a ship building company.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but will be announced from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore.
ALICE FEENEY
Alice Marie Feeney, 82, of Avoca died Wednesday at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton.
Born in Avoca, she was a daughter of the late Dominick and Catherine (Harding) Feeney.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Avoca and the parish Altar and Rosary Society. She had retired from the parish rectory where she had worked for 48 years.
She was preceded in death by her sisters , Margaret Feeney and Mary Feeney; and brother, John Feeney.
Surviving are her sister, Catherine Feeney, at home; nephew, John Feeney; one grandniece, and one grandnephew.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Kniffen-O'Malley Funeral Home, 728 Main St., Avoca with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery in Avoca.

Honora (Marut) Fela, 75, of Wallington, N.J., died Feb. 27 at St. Mary's Hospital, Passaic, N.J.
Born Nov. 13, 1924, in the Hanover Green section of Hanover Township, she was a daughter of the late Casper and Pearl Marut. She was a 1942 graduate of Hanover High School. She worked 15 years for NCC Insurance Co., Lyndhurst, N.J., retiring in 1985.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis.
Surviving are a son, Louis; a daughter, Karen; one grandson; brothers , John and Joseph; and sisters , Florence Mushalla and Helen Petrillo, all of Hanover Green.
Burial was in New Jersey.
