Isaac Andrew Austin, of Brookdale, died Friday at home.
Born Feb. 11, 2000, he was the infant son of Randall P. and Michelle L. (Thompson) Austin.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are his brother, Randall, at home; maternal grandparents, Rodney and Annmarie Thompson; paternal grandparents, Randal and Kathy Austin, Lawsville; maternal great-grandmothers, Geraldine Thompson, Brookdale, and Rose Marie Smith, Hallstead; paternal great-grandmother, Merrill Austin, Loyalville; maternal great great-grandmother, Irene Phillips, Lawsville; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. today from the Bartron Funeral Home, Inc., 74 Church St., Montrose. Interment will be in the Lawsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until time of services today at the funeral home.
BABULA, FRANCES
December 25, 1999
Frances E. Babula, 55, of Indian Creek Drive, Wilkeswood Apartments, Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday at his home.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Frank and Grace (Welsh) Babula.
He was a member of the Church of the Sacred Heart, Harleigh.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served as a radarman second class, aboard the U.S.S. Sabine in the Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean. He earned the National Defense Services and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medals and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 04909.
Before retiring, he was employed as a salesman for Nivert Steel, Throop.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James.
Surviving are his brothers , Ronald and Lawrence, both of West Hazleton; sister, Debra Uerenovich, Butler Township; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc., 542-544 N. Wyoming St., Hazleton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Harleigh.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums section of Butler Township.

Antonina Bafia

Antonina Bafia of Maffett Street, Plains Township, died Wednesday at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Glen Lyon, Newport Township, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Anna Rutena.
She was a member of St. Adalbert's Church, Glen Lyon.
She was formerly employed in the garment industry with Plains Blouse and retired in 1978.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bafia, in 1997;
Surviving are brothers , John, Marian, Stephen and Charles, all in Poland; a stepbrother, Aleksander Rutyna, Tychy, Poland.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday from the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at noon in St. Adalbert's Church, Glen Lyon.
Interment will be in St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Glen Lyon.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday.
Balavage, Joseph
April 27, 2000
Joseph F. Balavage, 84, of Shavertown, died Thursday at Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born Oct. 16, 1915, in Kingston, he was a son of the late Joseph and Frances (Pechulis) Balavage. He was a graduate of Lake Township High School. He was a lineman, installer and dispatcher for Commonwealth Telephone Co. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a sergeant with the United States Army Signal Corps. He was a member of St. Therese's Church, Shavertown, American Legion, Dallas, the Knights of Columbus, John J. O'Leary Council, Dallas, and the Shavertown Volunteer Fire Co.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Julian.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, the former Ann Degutis; sons , Joseph, Wilkes-Barre; James, Shavertown; daughter, Cathy Abraham, Shavertown; five grandchildren; brother, Bud, Pringle; sister, Anna, Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 140 N. Main St., Shavertown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Therese's Church, Shavertown. Monsignor Peter Crynes will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary of the Annunciation Lithuanian Cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Margaret Balint

Margaret Balint, 88, formerly of Exeter, died Sunday at the Dorrance Manor Nursing Home, Kingston.
Born in Wynburne, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Elizabeth Fedor Shedlock.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pittston.
Before retiring, she was employed in the local garment factories.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen, in 1961; sisters Mary Pribula, Ann McNeil and Catherine Osborne; brother, Joseph Shedlock.
Surviving are her daughters Dorothy Lippi, RD 3, Wyoming; Margaret L. Hvozdovic, Wilkes-Barre; brother, George Shedlock, Braintree, Mass.; sisters Irene Braznock, Danville; Agnes Kelly, Austin, Texas ; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Frank A. Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, with the Rev. Andrew Strish and the Rev. Andrew S. Hvozdovic, her grandson, officiating.
Interment will be in the St. John's Slovak Cemetery, Exeter.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Tuesday.
ANNA BARBACCI
Anna M. Barbacci, 78, of Orange, Franklin Township, and formerly of Plains Township, died Sunday at her home.
Born in Plains Township, she was the daughter of the late Basilio and Ersilia Ercolani Mazzanti.
She attended Plains Township schools.
She was associated in business with her husband, Nat, for more than 18 years in the Barbacci Propane Bottle Gas Company, Plains Township, and Barbacci's Family Grove, Orange.
She and her husband, celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on September 20.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church, Carverton, Kingston Township.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Rinaldo Mussanti; and sister, Irene Mazzanti.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons , Basil and Robert, both of Orange; daughters , Barbara Lussi, Plains; Celeste Geskey, Orange; Jody Pearson, Bear, Del.; brothers , Joseph Mazzanti, Wilkes-Barre; Vincent Stella, Jenkins Township; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Frances Cabrini Church, Carverton, Kingston Township.
Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton, Kingston Township.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.

BARBER, CALEB
December 14, 1999
Infant Caleb William Barber died Tuesday at Penn State Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township.
He was a son of Stephen M. and Judy L. (Worlinsky) Barber, of Main Street in Kingston.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Dorothy (Dzurovcin) Barber, and paternal grandfather, Lawrence Worlinsky.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his twin brother, Corey Michael, brother, Kyle, and sister, Alysha Marie, all at home; maternal grandmother, Madelyn Worlinsky, Swoyersville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery in Hanover Township. The Rev. Joseph T. Gilbert, of the Sacred Heart - St. John's Parish Community on North Main Street in Wilkes-Barre, will officiate.
