EDWARD H. KRITZER
Edward Hugh Kritzer passed from this life into the next on May 6, 2008 in the loving arms of his wife. His home was in Elizabethtown and he was receiving tender care at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown for a short time. Ed was born in Emeigh, PA on April 25, 1926 to the late Peter Edward and Catherine Mae Craver Kritzer. He was the husband of Donna Byron Bretz Kritzer. They were married on July 18, 1991. He attended Penn State and graduated from Syracuse University and played football at both schools. Ed was retired from the former Magic Auto Glass in Elizabethtown. He was one of the “Greatest Generation” and served in the US Army Air Corps as a tail-gunner during WWII. Ed was very talented musically as a beautiful baritone soloist and choir and choral director. He loved to paint, was a Civil War buff and was an avid Penn State, Steelers and Pirates fan. His other passion was golf and he scored a hole-in-one, twice. He gave golf lessons at Tree Top Golf course and also worked as a course ranger. Ed’s most memorable quality was his great sense of humor. In addition to his wife, Donna, he is survived by a son, Kenneth Robert, married to Dawn Kritzer, and grandson, Jason, all of Richmond, VA; a brother, Robert Kritzer and his family of Ohio; a step-daughter, Jennifer, married to Alphonse Miller and their children, Amanda, Nicholas and Alexander; a step-son, Gregory Bretz, married to Megan Fackler Bretz and their daughter, Gabrielle all of Raleigh, NC and his best friends, Joe and Pat Weber of Maytown. Peace. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008 from St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 398 North Locust Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 11:00 AM. Friends may call on Friday at the church from 10:00 until the time of service. Interment will follow at Bainbridge Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church or to Masonic Village, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.

AUDREY MABUS HOLLINGSHEAD WRIGHT
Audrey Mabus Hollingshead Wright, 95, of Maytown, died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Longwood Manor, Maytown. Born in Sunbury on December 2, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Newton L. and Flora Mae Irvin Mabus. She retired in 1971 from the Army Corps of Engineers where she had worked as a Logistician and Financial and Material Management Specialist for 32 years. She and her husband retired to St. Simons Island, GA and then to Hilton Head. Mrs. Wright moved from The Cypress, Hilton Head, SC in 2005 to Longwood Manor, Maytown. She was involved with supporting humane societies wherever she lived and loved being with her dogs. She enjoyed playing golf and watching it on television. Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husbands, Homer Hollingshead and Richard Wright. She is survived by 13 nieces and nephews, 16 great nieces and nephews, a brother-in-law, Percy Batey, and two sister-in-laws, Eileen Mabus and Barbara Wright. She will be missed by her dog, Duke. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at Longwood Manor, 2760 Maytown Road, Maytown, PA at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any humane society of one’s choice.

SAM O. NUSS
Sam O. Nuss, 68, of Bainbridge, died on Friday, May 16, 2008 at his home. Born in Lititz, he was the son of the late Samuel and Pauline Hess Nuss. He was the wife of Roberta C. Prolow Nuss. They were married for 16 years in March. Sam worked all his life as a fantastic salesperson, from sales manager at Auto Haus to general manager at Kelly Cadillac and Zartman Dodge. He was a 1957 graduate of Warwick High School. He loved sports, especially golf and was an avid fan of Penn State, the Eagles and the Phillies. Sam was never at a loss for words, his sense of humor was unending, he made people laugh and could always make you smile with his millions of jokes. He served in the Army during peacetime and was a dedicated American. He will be missed. Sam was preceded in death by two brothers , John H. and Ron Nuss. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, J.C., husband of Barb Nuss, Harrisburg; Step-children, Bob Walker, East Earl; Carrell Popejoy, Lititz; David Walker, Bainbridge; Ben Smith, Columbia; nine grandchildren; a brother, Jim, husband of Georgia Nuss and a sister, Paula, wife of Craig Harnish. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from Miller/Sekely Funeral Services, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown at 3:00 PM. There will be no viewing. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 until the time of service. Interment will be private.

ALICE A. BROWN FARVER
Born on June 3, 1911, in Prescott, Lebanon County, to Ralph and Katie Hibshman Brown, Alice A. Brown Farver died in Bangor, Maine, on March 21, 2008, at the home of her youngest daughter, Sandra G. Farver, with whom she lived since 1994. Alice was married to Clyde M. Farver for 55 years before he died in August 1986. In addition to her husband, Alice was predeceased by her son, C. Lawerence Farver who was married to Barbara Hoskin Farver, a granddaughter, Barbara J. Fantom Fry and eleven brothers and sisters . Surviving are three daughters : Martha A. Farver-Apgar, widow of Charles S. Farver-Apgar, Elizabethtown; Joan M. Fantom, Lancaster; and Sandra G. Farver, Bangor. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild as well as two sisters . Alice and Clyde met at Masonic Homes, now Masonic Village, when Clyde was a draftsman in the Engineer's Office there and Alice came to work in the Grand Lodge Dining Room one summer. In more recent years, Alice worked at the PA State Hospital for Crippled Children with children's activities and at the Elizabethtown Child Care Center. After retirement, not being willing to sit and rock, Alice worked at Stauffer's of Kissel Hill selling hot dogs and soda and became known as the Hot Dog Lady. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Church of Christ, Lancaster where she was active until she moved to Bangor. Other places where Alice volunteered included the MS Society; Lancashire Terrace and the Mennonite Home, Lancaster; ManorCare, Elizabethtown; Eastgate Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bangor; and assisting with meals for the underprivileged at Hammond Street Congregational United Church of Christ, Bangor. Alice donated her body for study to University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME. When study is complete, her remains will be buried in a private ceremony in the David Myers Cemetery, Elizabethtown. A Memorial Service was held at Hammond Street United Church of Christ, Bangor, and a second service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at St. Andrew's United Church of Christ, 701 North Lime Street, Lancaster, PA at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Andrew's United Church of Christ.

MARY JANE ZIMMERMAN KOPP
Mary Jane Zimmerman Kopp, 88, of Lancaster, formerly of Elizabethtown, entered into rest on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Mennonite Home from an extended illness. Born in East Hempfield Township, she was the daughter of the late Aldus Z. and Emma Brandt Kready. She was the wife of the late Vernon R. Zimmerman who died in 1991 and the late Howard S. Kopp who died in 2007. She was a member of the Elizabethtown Mennonite Church and was very active in the sewing circle. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and traveling. In the past, her travels included trips to Potter County. She and her late husband, Vernon, were founding members of Locust Lane Chapel located in Harrisburg. She was preceded in death by a son, Clair V. Zimmerman who died in 1997. She is survived by five daughters , Lois M., wife of Carl L. Good, Lancaster, Veronica K. Ranck, wife of J. Merle Herr, Mount Joy, Nancy Z., wife of J. Richard Garber, Elizabethtown, Ruth Ann, wife of Chester B. Martin, Leola, M. Grace, wife of Richard A. Erb, Elizabethtown, 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, a sister, Anna E. Aungst, Maytown, and a brother, Aldus B. Kready, Jr., Middletown. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Elizabethtown Mennonite Church, 300 South Spruce Street, Elizabethtown, PA at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends on Friday evening at Miller/Sekely Funeral Services, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA from 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Saturday afternoon at the church from 2:00 until the time of service. MARGUERITE C. (MAGGIE) HIRNER
Marguerite C. Hirner, 81, of Elizabethtown, died peacefully, Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Heart of Lancaster Hospital, Lititz, while under hospice care. Born August 20, 1926 in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Anna Ellis Shirk. Maggie retired from Federal-Mogel Corp. where she worked as a personnel manager. She started her career as a Public Service Registered Nurse and never stopped caring for those in need. She will be missed by all whose life she touched. She was preceded in death by two brothers , Joseph and Gil Shirk. She is survived by her son Ralph, husband of Cherie Hirner, Lititz, two grandsons, Michael Patterson, Bloomington, MN, Jon-Henry Hirner, Lancaster County, two great granddaughters, a sister, Dottie, wife of Tom Little, Millersburg, and a nephew, Bruce Carskadon, Elizabethtown. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008, at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Cherry Ally and Park Street, Elizabethtown, PA at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends on Friday morning at Miller/Sekely Funeral Services, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA from 10:00-11:00. MARJORIE E. PIERCE
Marjorie E. Pierce, 77, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at ManorCare Health Services, Elizabethtown. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rachel Fuller Townsley. She was the wife of Ray Richard Pierce who died December 22, 1983. Mrs. Pierce was a member of Elizabethtown Mennonite Church. She is survived by three daughters , Darlene E., wife of Peter J. Lucinai, Joan L. Pierce, Karen M., wife of Steven E. Snyder, all of Elizabethtown, and three grandchildren, Nicole wife of Dan Constanino, Jeremy Snyder, and Candice Lucinai. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 2, 2008 at Miller/Sekely Funeral Services, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA from 6:00-8:00 PM. Services and interment will take place at the convenience of the family.

MARTHA W. SUMMY
Martha W. Summy, 88, of United Zion Home, Lititz, formerly of Manheim, died on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Rapho Twp., she was the daughter of the late Norman and Ada Winters Ruhl. She was the wife of the late Harvey E. Summy who died in August 2003. A homemaker, Mrs. Summy was a member of Jerusalem Church, Manheim. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Faye Summy. Surviving are two sons , J. Richard of Lancaster and Glenn E., married to Martha J. Summy of Ephrata; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 2, 2008 from Jerusalem Church, 1620 Newport Road, Manheim, PA 17543 at 10:00 AM. ARTHUR E. SWEET, III
Arthur E. Sweet, III, 79 of Elizabethtown, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Hospice of Lancaster County after a brief illness. Born in Monterey Park, CA, he was the son of the late Mary Martin Muller and Arthur E. Sweet, Jr. He was the husband of Elizabeth A. Christensen Sweet. They were married for 14 years in June 2007. Arthur was a graduate of Fork Union military Academy in Virginia and attended Franklin and Marshall College. He was employed by the US Border Patrol and later by the US Immigration and Naturalization Service. Arthur also served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Surviving in addition to his wife are a brother, Sam, husband of Yvonne Sweet, Georgia, a sister-in-law Mary Beth, wife of Jack Reising, New York and sister-in-law Dana Christensen, Fishing Creek, PA. Services and interment will be heald at the convenience of the family.

BENJAMIN EVANS, Jr.
Benjamin Evans, Jr., 80 of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, formerly of Philadelphia, died on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Benjamin, Sr. and Margaretha Bader Evans. He was the husband of Kathleen Dinnis Evans. They were married for 53 years in July 2007. Mr. Evans was retired from PW Engineering in Philadelphia and was a member of Southampton Lodge #806, F&AM in Hatboro. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in by a brother and a sister. In addition to his wife, Kathleen, he is survived by a son, Gregory S., husband of Denise Evans, Doylestown and three grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville at 11:00 AM. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.

HAROLD S. "PAP" FUHRMAN
Harold S. “Pap” Fuhrman, 69, of Bainbridge, died peacefully on Monday June 2, 2008. Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Washington and Dorothy Sipling Fuhrman. He was the husband of Nancy J. Lokey Fuhrman who died on October 22, 2001. Harold was an active member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Bainbridge. He was on the Relay for Life Bainbridge Believers team and a member of the Bainbridge Fire Company. Pap especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. In addition, he enjoyed gardening, playing cards with friends, and trips to the family cabin in Cameron County. Harold is survived by a son, Rodney L., husband of Cindy L. Fuhrman, two daughters , LaVon J., wife of L. Scott Flowers, Heidi J., wife of Barry A. Gutshall, all of Bainbridge, four grandchildren, two brothers , Ray and Earl Fuhrman, two sisters , Jean Saam, Nancy Engle, and a sister-in-law, Joann, wife of Frank Kibler. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 106 North Second Street, Bainbridge, PA at 2:00 PM. GRACE E. LAMP
Grace E. Lamp, 102, of Lancaster, formerly of Elizabethtown, died on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the Mennonite Home. Born in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Amanda Ebersole Landis. She was the wife of Clyde H. Lamp who died in 1989. Mrs. Lamp was a graduate of Elizabethtown High School and the former Millersville Normal School. In her early years, she was employed as an school teacher at Sumpton Elementary School. She was also a member of Elizabethtown Mennonite church and earlier served as a Sunday school teacher. Grace enjoyed walking and gardening, but was known for her love of the game, Scrabble. She is survived by two daughters , Barbara, wife of Marvin Brubaker, Dillsburg; Ruth, wife of Evan Haupt, Charleston, SC; a son, Frederick J. Lamp, New Haven, CT; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was the last of 12 children. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008 at Elizabethtown Mennonite Church, 300 South Spruce Street, Elizabethtown at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Elizabethtown Mennonite Cemetery. There will be no viewing. The family will receive friends at a luncheon at the church following interment. RICHARD T. BAILEY
Richard T. Bailey, 63 of Mount Joy, died on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Sharon, Mercer County, he was the son of James I. Bailey, Sr. of Mercer and the late Mary Eleanore Oakley Bailey. He was the husband of JoAnne M. Carello Bailey of Mount Joy. Mr. Bailey was a 1960 graduate of Sharon High School, received a bachelor's of science degree in chemical engineering from Grove City College in 1964 and was a member of the Omicron Xi fraternity. A chemical engineer for Armstrong World Industries for 32 years, Mr. Bailey retired in 1996 as the manager for the reprographics division and previously was the general manager for carpet research and development. After retirement, he was employed part-time by Progressive Forms and Labels, Harrisburg, for 10 years. Mr. Bailey had previously served on the zoning board for West Hempfield Twp. He also enjoyed skiing, traveling, golf, fishing, hunting, the outdoors and family vacations. In addition to his wife and Father , he is survived by two daughters ; Lori L., wife of Tim Christian, Elizabethtown, Jennifer A. Bailey, Richmond, VA, two sons ; Michael D., husband of Jennifer L. Hall, Mount Joy, Andrew J., husband of Jennifer C. Hall, Maytown, four grandchildren, a brother; James I. HARRY E. DUNN, SR.
Harry E. Dunn, Sr., of Bainbridge, died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Hospice of Lancaster County. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Clarence and Dorothy DeHaven Dunn. He was married to Barbara E. Shoemaker Dunn for 42 years on February 15, 2006. A supervisor in the carpet plant, he worked for Armstrong for over 27 years, retiring on October 1, 1995. Mr. Dunn was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #410, Anglers and Hunters Association, and the American Legion Post #594, all of Middletown. He enjoyed hunting and going to the shore to go fishing. An Army veteran, he served as a Staff Sergeant in the 28th Administration Co. Mr. Dunn was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie A. Dunn who died September 29, 2005, a grandson, Michael Houser, II, and a brother Clarence Dunn, Jr. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons , Harry E. Dunn, Jr., Middletown, Ralph C., husband of Melissa Dunn, Elizabethtown, a daughter, Barbara J. Dunn, Elizabethtown, six grandchildren, three brothers , Gregory, Jr., Bainbridge, Earl, Highspire, and Mark Dunn, Rheems, four sisters , Edith Meise, New Cumberland, Rose Herbster, Harrisburg, Dotty Umbrell, Elizabethtown, and Sue Dunn, Middletown. GUY PARMER, JR.
Guy Parmer, Jr., 77, of Elizabethtown, died Monday evening at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Brownstown, he was the son of the late Guy J. and Eva Cross Parmer. He married Della Hoover on March 26, 1950. Mr. Parmer attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church and was a farmer for Milton Hershey for over 42 years. He enjoyed mowing grass, horses, hunting, the mountains, and motorcycles. He served overseas in the Army as a Private First Class with the 537th Engineer Base Survey Company. Mr. Parmer was preceded in death by two brothers , Robert and William Parmer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters , Darlene K. Grant, Jean D., Parmer wife of Michael H. Cairns, two sons , Donald E., husband of Deborah L. Parmer, Dale G., husband of Carolyn F. Parmer, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and three sisters , Dora Freeman, Mary Stehman, and Mildred Kell. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 398 Locust Street, Elizabethtown, PA at 11:00 AM with Pastor Frank A. Nickel, Jr. officiating. Friends may call Friday evening at Miller/Sekely Funeral Services, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, from 7:00-9:00 PM and on Saturday morning at the church from 10:00 until the time of service. LOUIS E. REILLY
Louis E. Reilly, 88, of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, died on March 21, 2006. He was a member of Lodge #45, F&AM and Scottish Rite. He was a 1940 graduate of the School of Metallurgical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. He served in the US Army Pittsburgh Ordinance District from 1940-1946. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia Lysinger Reilly, a son; Craig Reilly, two daughters ; Carol Sanders and Clare Lavelle, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A Funeral Service eill be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006 from the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown at 3:30 PM. Interment will take place on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 in Allegheny County Memorial Park in Pittsburgh. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tree of Life, Masonic Village, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.

MALCOLM E. ALLISON
Malcolm E. Allison, 90, of Campbelltown, formerly of Elizabethtown, died Sunday morning at Twin Oaks Nursing Center. Born in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Theodore and Anna Beulah Maurey Allison. He married Harriet Beetham on June 15, 1952. A member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, he graduated from Millersville University in 1941. He was employed by Olmsted Air Force Base in Middletown, until its closing. Mr. Allison was later employed by Penn Dot. During WWII, he served the United States Army as a sergeant. Mr. Allison was 50 year member of both Kiwanis Club of Elizabethtown and the Abraham C. Treichler Lodge #682 F&AM, both in Elizabethtown, and a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Harrisburg. In addition to his wife, Mr. Allison is survived by a daughter, Beth Ann Allison, Lancaster, a son, Donald E., husband of Pamela Allison, Richmond, VA, two grandsons, and 2 step granddaughters. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Miller/Sekely Funeral Services, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown at 10:00 AM with Pastor J. Stewart Hardy officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
