He was born November 16, 1918 in Slippery Rock Township, Pa and was the son of Harry and Mildred Redmond Snyder. He was Protestant by faith. He had been a coal miner, running heavy equipment, he was a veteran of World War II. Survived by: One brother, Ted Snyder of Butler . Preceded in death by: His wife, Abigail O. Snyder, who died July 7, 1994, one brother and two sisters . Patricia Mae Weaver Age 61 of Prospect, passed away Friday afternoon at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh following an illness. She was born March 28, 1942 in Arnold, Pa and was the daughter of Rosco and Rosetta Mae Beck Irvine. She was Presbyterian by faith. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband: Ronald E. Weaver Four sons : Jeffery L. Weaver of Cowansville, Gregory A., Scott W., and Jason E. Weaver all of Prospect. Two daughters : Mrs. Steven (Kim) Corey of Meadville Mrs. Kurt (Roni) Brockman of Butler. 10 Grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. One sister: Alice Jordan of Murrysiville, 3 nephews and 1 niece. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be Monday 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the Edward L Raisley Funeral Home, Prospect. She was born September 22, 1934 in Hopwood, PA and was the daughter of John William and Stella (Zaracyka) Verbonach. Before retirement she was a waitress for many years. She is survived by: Her boyfriend John Daugherty Two brothers and sister-in-laws: Ronald B. and Jane Vervonach of Adah, PA James J. and Bernice Vervonach of Evans City, Pa and a number of nieces and nephews. Janet Brooks, 77 of Tucson, Ariz., died in her sleep, Thursday, August 21, 2003. She was born in Kinsman, Ohio, in 1926, She lived most of her life in Portersville. She worked for years at the Portersville Stainless and later at Portersville Valve Co. In 1975, She moved to Tucson with her parents to be near the rest of her family. She was a secretary in the food service department at the Tucson Medical Center until her retirement, After retirement, she did many hours of volunteering at the center. She was an active member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Portersville and at the Catalina United Methodist Church in Tucson. She brought joy and laughter to all those who knew her and will be missed by her many family and friends. Surviving are a brother, Richard and his wife Shirley, and their three children, Roxanne Bacon (Doug), Ryan Brooks (Terri), all of Tucson, and Valerie Brooks Brown (Dan) of Sherwood, Oregon. She also is survived by grandnieces and grandnephews, Brooke and Gaily Bacon and Zachary and Matthew Brooks. A memorial service will be held Saturday August 25, 2003 at the East Lawn Mortuary, Tucson. ALBERT CHARLES FORD AGE: 56 OF MAIN STREET, CONNOQUENESSING Passed away Monday afternoon at his residence following an illness. He was born September 13, 1947 in Allegheny County, and was the son of Finley and Ida Wile Ford. He was Protestant by faith. He was retired from the US Army, after 22 years of Active Service, where he was a Food Service Inspector at many different locations. Before entering the service, he worked at a feed mill in Saxonburg. After he retired from the service he worked as a Chef at Sherwood Oaks and was a School Bus Driver for Butler School District. Mr. Ford enjoyed gardening, breeding birds, farming, and hunting. He carried on the Ford Family tradition of showing horses, that he had raised, every year at the Big Butler Fair. He also received many awards for raising and training Shutzhund Guard Dogs. Mr. Ford was the loving husband and best friend of Erika (Ruth) Ford, whom he married March 1968. Ruth D. Cleleand, 96, of Passavant Health and Retirement Center, Zelienople, Formerly of Harmony RD 1, passed away at 7:50 am Monday, March 22, 2004 at Passavant Health Center. She was born in New Castle, November 9, 1907, and was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Richardson Dean. She was a graduate of Shenango Valley Hospital School of Nursing, New Castle now Jameson Hospital, where she had worked for many years after. She then worked for various hospitals in Pittsburgh for many years. She was a member ot the Order of the Eastern Star in New Castle. She is survived by two sisters : Mrs. James (Dorothy) Kegarise of New Castle, and Eleanor Dean Reed of New Castle. One Brother: Charles A Dean of New Castle, and several nieces and nephews. John's Reformed Church, Evans City Road, Butler where she was a volunteer at the church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, and camping. She is survived by her husband, G. Lynn Raisley, whom she married May 7, 1959, One son: Jerry Raisley of Butler, Two sisters : Mrs. Wilbur (Lois) Badger of Kennerdale, and Kay Robinson of Butler, Two brothers : Clark Fair of East Butler, and Clenn Fair of Saxonburg, and serveral nieces and nephews. He was born July 26, 1941 in Parker, PA and was the son of the late Michael and Dorothy (Moore) McKean. He worked at Pullman Standard for 19 years until its closure. He was born August 21, 1930 in Pittsburgh, and was the son of Charles and Dorothy (Koehler) Keppel. He was a member of St. Christopher At The Lake Catholic Church. He was retired from the Plant Protection Department of the former Armco Steel Mill, now AK Steel. He worked at his parents bakery, The Prospect Bakery, until 1968 and was known for baking and delivering bread to local families and businesses. He also enjoyed woodworking, drawing, and painting. She was of South Franklin Street, Prospect and passed away Thursday morning, July 1, 2004 at her residence. She was born March 9, 1920 in Pittsburgh PA, and was the daughter of Frank and Agnes (Hoffman) Attenberg. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Marbell was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Prospect. She enjoyed playing solitaire, and collected the Denim Days Collection from Home Interiors. She is survived by: Her Husband, Arthur Marbell, Sr. With whom she had just celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary May 15th. Vincent “Eugene” McCandless Age: 61 Of Sweeny Circle, Forest, Virginia passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 23, 2004. God called him home after a lengthy illness. He was born November 26, 1942 in Butler, PA and was the son of Roberta Farrington McCandless, and the late Vincent L. McCandless. Vincent Eugene attended Mount Chestnut School, a one-room School, until the eighth grade when he entered Slippery Rock High School in Pa, where he graduated. In 1962, he received an engineering degree from Allegheny Tech and Moved to Lynchburg, where he was employed by General Electric. From 1962 to 1966, he served in the US Army in the military Police in the 503rd Battalion in Fort Bragg, NC and in Santa Domingo. After his military service, he returned to Lynchburg and worked at General Electric until 1971, when he became the owner and operator in Virginia Imported Parts, Inc .for 33 years. At the time of his death, Vincent Eugene was a Direct Jobber for Amsoil Lubricating Products and a member of the Hill City Founders in Chapter of BNI. He was a former member of the Toppet Busters Hot Rod Club and has canoed most the James River. An enthusiastic bicyclist, he especially loved Black Water Creek and Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as local roads in Bedford and Campbell Counties. He was a dedicated member of the Kirk, a long time member of the choir and a Sunday School Teacher. His quiet and friendly manner made him an instant friend and to his little students, he was known as “Mr. Vince”. His is survived by: His life-long companion: Mabel N. He is also survived by Three Aunts: Ruth Keene of Newville, PA Maxine Wheet of Sun City Center, FL Dolores McCandless of Mars, PA Two Uncles: Ray Farringer of Mars, PA Richard Farringer of Clinton, Pa and a number of cousins. He was preceded in death by: His Father , Vincent L. McCandless and his Step- Father James Winner, a grandson John D. Krantz, Jr, and a beloved uncle, Eugene McCandless. Following services in Virginia, local visitation will be Monday, June 28, 2004 10:00Am to 11:00Am at the Chapel at Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery with the service to follow at 11:00AM with the Rev. Gary Brown, officiating. Interment will follow at the Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery.
