ANN HEBRANK
Ann Hebrank, 99, of Greensburg, died Sunday, April 16, 2000, in Oak Hill Rest Home. She was born Sept. 2, 1900, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late David and Margaret Powell Thomas. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by her husband, Joseph C. Hebrank; a son, Thomas Hebrank; a grandson, Michael Hebrank; and several brothers and sisters . Surviving are her children, Joan Smith and husband William, Mary Jane Shrum and husband Paul; and daughter-in-law, Jackie Hebrank, all of Greensburg; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. There will be no public viewing. Services will be held at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, Thursday at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. MARY L. CUCCHI LUSEBRINK
Mary L. Cucchi Lusebrink, 72, of North Huntingdon, died Monday, April 17, 2000, in Hempfield Township. She was born May 6, 1927, in Hahntown, Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph and Govannia (Fabrizio) Cucchi. She was a buyer at G.C. Murphy Co. and was a member of St. Agnes Church. Survived by her husband, Ernest R. Lusebrink; a son, Keith Lusebrink of Houston, Texas ; a brother, Joseph Cucchi of Manor; two sisters , Donna Kovac of North Huntingdon and Nancy Popovich of Hahntown; and a granddaughter, Haley Lusebrink of Forest Hills. ALICE M. RILEY
Alice M. Riley, 88, a lifelong resident of McKeesport, died Sunday, April 16, 2000. She was born Dec. 3, 1911, in McKeesport, the daughter of the late John W. and Selma Jernberg Pearson. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, McKeesport, and its Naomi Circle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Moral W. Riley. Survivors include two sons , William J. Riley and daughter-in-law, Evelyn, of North Huntingdon and Robert M. Riley and daughter-in-law, Judy, of Landing, N.J.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a special niece, Barbara A. Petron of White Oak; and other nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at STRIFFLERS' OF WHITE OAK, where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Larry Snodgrass officiating. JOSEPHINE G. SKINNER
Josephine G. Skinner, 91, of Penn Township, died Monday, April 17, 2000, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was born March 11, 1909, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Carmen and Marion Paglucci Agona. She was a member of Ascension Church in Jeannette and the Rosary Altar Society of the church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Skinner, in 1991; three brothers , Anthony, P.G. "Gus," and James Agona; and three sisters , Anna Perillo, Margaret Bematre, and Lena Agona. She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte and husband, Andrew Tlumac, of Penn Township; a sister, Helen Grazan of Greensburg; and two granddaughters, Laurie Patrick and Lisa Fox. WILLIAM R. WEST
William R. West, 74, of Latrobe, died Monday, April 17, 2000, in Barnes House, Derry Township. He was born Aug. 22, 1925, in Latrobe, a son of the late John and Mae (Alexander) West. Bill began a teaching career in the Ligonier School District in 1950 until 1960, teaching history and English, and coaching basketball. He then came to the Latrobe School District as a teacher, track, field and cross-country coach. He retired in 1987 as the home school visitor and faculty manager. He was also a well-known PIAA official in both basketball and football. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a tail gunner with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post 515. Bill also served as the program director for Latrobe Parks and Recreation for over 25 years, and was a former board member of the Latrobe Little League. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Athalene (Hays) West, on April 15, 1992; three brothers , Kenneth, Joseph B. and John "Hap" West; and a sister, Annabelle Young. He is survived by two sons , W. Robert West and his wife, Michele, and Raymond Victor West and his wife, Elizabeth, both of Latrobe; four grandchildren, Amy, Scott, Neal and Jordann West; and a number of nieces and nephews. Dorothy M. "Dottie" Armstrong, 76, of Murrysville, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. She was born July 5, 1923, in Colorado Springs, Colo., a daughter of the late Dewitt and Elsie Whitney Lusk. She was a member of the Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, Murrysville, a yoga teacher for many years, and was involved in community activities for many years. She is survived by her husband, James I. Armstrong; a son, James I. Armstrong Jr. and his wife, Sherri, of Murrysville; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Natalie and Travis; a brother, Richard Lusk of Laguna Beach, Calif.; a sister, Jane Hopper of Ashland, Ore.; and 10 nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the JOHN T. HART FUNERAL HOME, Murrysville, followed by a memorial service at 8 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. JACK H. BROCK
Jack H. Brock, 70, of Oviedo, Fla., formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2000. He was born Nov. 30, 1929, in Pittsburgh. He had retired from Blaw Knox Steel Co. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea, where he was awarded three Bronze Stars. He was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Brock is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth; his son, Jack H. Brock Jr. of Oviedo, Fla.; daughters , Susan Madaffari of Pittsburgh and Debra A. Rowell of Casselberry, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 21, at FAMILY FUNERAL CARE, 7565 Red Bug Lake Road, Oviedo, Fla. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

William A. Cottrell, 72, of Hempfield Township, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, in Jeannette. He was born Oct. 9, 1927, in Gailton, Pa., a son of the late Frederick Sr. and Vesta (Bush) Cottrell. He was a foreman for American St. Gobain in Jeannette, retiring in 1988. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda (Celio) Cottrell; three sons , Curt Cottrell of Darragh, William Cottrell Jr. at home, and Richard Cottrell at home; a daughter, Judy Quinn (husband, Dennis) of Jeannette; three brothers , Fred Cottrell of New Jersey, and Joseph and Robert Cottrell, both of Grapeville; three sisters , Ida Mae Simmers of Michigan, and Valetta Brodsky and Vera Cottrell, both of Jeannette; and five grandchildren, William Cottrell III, Dellas Hustead III, Curt Cottrell Jr., Carey Cottrell, and Cyra Cottrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers , James and Jack Cottrell; and a grandson, Brian Cottrell. Private visitation and services with the Rev. Joseph M. Elaine Rosman Davis, 65, of Monroeville, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at her home. She was born Nov. 4, 1934, in Lancaster, a daughter of Jeannette Shear Rosman of Akron, Pa., and the late Herman Rosman. She was a retired medical technologist, having worked for the Forbes Regional Health Center Systems. She was a member of Temple David in Monroeville, was a graduate of Temple University with a bachelor's degree in medical technology, and did volunteer work at the Monroeville Public Library. In addition to her mother , she is survived by her husband, Howard A. Davis; two daughters , Mrs. Lisa Davis Taylor and her husband, Jeffrey, of Austin, Texas , and Sharon Lynn Davis of Horsham, Pa.; a brother, Ned Rosman of Carlisle; and a sister, Mrs. Sandra Hurwitz of Cherry Hill, N.J. Margaret M. Downs, 76, of Hostetter, died Tuesday, April 18, 2000. She was born April 21, 1923, in Salemville, Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Barron Shimko. She was a member of St. Cecilia Church, Whitney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark A. Downs; and three brothers , John J. Shimko, George A. Shimko and Joseph Shimko. Survived by her husband of 49 years, Paul J. Downs; two sons , Roger A. Downs and his wife, Tracey, and Gary E. Downs and his wife, Kelly A., both of Latrobe; a brother, Edward Shimko of California; a sister, Harriet Hornzell of Baltimore, Md.
