FLORENCE E. BRADY
Florence E. Brady, 85, of Frey Village Retirement Center, Middletown, and formerly of Hummelstown, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2003, in the home.
Born in Harrisburg on January 3, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Barbara Ehling Brady. She retired from the G. R. Kinney Corporation where she was a binner in the warehouse. She was a member of the Hummelstown United Church of Christ and its Ladies Bible Class.
She is survived by one daughter, Marsha L. Robbins of Hummelstown; two grandsons, Jon W. Robbins, Jr. of Center Barnstead, NH, and Scott Frederick Robbins of Lancaster; two great grandchildren, Ian Robbins and Alexandra Robbins both of Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Helen Brady of Duncannon; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2003, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. George Heckard officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Laurel Church of God Cemetery, Piketown. Viewing will be Saturday in the funeral home from 10 AM until time of the services.

LOVONDA J. AYERS MARK
Lovonda J. Ayers Mark, 47, of Harrisburg, and formerly of Hummelstown and of Buffalo, New York, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2003, at her home.
Born in Carlisle, on September 16, 1955, she was the daughter of Vivian R. Holbert Ayers of Palmyra and the late Bruce D. Ayers. She was a bartender.
In addition to her mother she is survived by three daughters , Shannon R. wife of Adam E. Burkholder of Harrisburg, Tiffany L. Mark of Palmyra and Ashtyn G. Mark of Liverpool; one brother, Gregory D. Ayers of Palmyra; one sister, Cheryl Lynn wife of Michael Boyer of Lebanon; and two grandchildren, Cameron Mackenzie Koch of Palmyra and Gabriel Edward Burkholder of Harrisburg.
Memorial services will be held Monday, August 4, 2003, at 11:00 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township. Friends are invited to call Monday in the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of the services.

CATHERINE H. KRAKOSKY
Catherine H. Schultz Krakosky, 72, of Harrisburg, and formerly of Luzerne, PA and Garfield, NJ, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2003, in ManorCare of Carlisle.
Born in Larksville on August 28, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Yuhas Schultz. She was a former switchboard operator. She was a member of the Elks Women’s Auxiliary of Garfield, and enjoyed baking.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Mim) J., wife of Foster (Chip) R. Schaffer of Harrisburg; a son, Bernard S. Krakosky, of Robbinsville, NJ; two grandchildren, Robert F. Schaffer and Marissa K. Schaffer, both of Harrisburg; and a sister, Margaret Mizenko of Pittston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard T. Krakosky.
Memorial services were held Saturday, July 26, 2003 at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, PA, with The Rev. Dr. Alan C. Wenrich, pastor of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hummelstown, officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddlebrook, NJ, at the convenience of the family. Friends were received following the memorial service.
DOREEN M. d’ENTREMONT LEA
Doreen M. d’Entremont Lea, 53, of Hummelstown, and formerly of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2003, at home. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on November 16, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Irene d’Entremont. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jimmie R. Lea whom she married on January 15, 1980; three sons , John J. Merritt and his wife Carol Iron Merritt and Shawn M. Merritt both of Harrisburg, and Dustin E. Merritt of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one brother, Thomas Mooney of Norfolk, Virginia; one half-sister, Elaine wife of Robert Rudy of Norfolk, Virginia; and six grandchildren, Jennifer Slemmer and Ryan Slemmer both of Harrisburg, Shauna Merritt of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Brittany Vidamo and Tiffany Merritt both of Virginia Beach.
She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Merritt.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 28 at 12 noon in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Brian Medkeff-Rose, officiating. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, North Annville Township. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 8 PM and on Monday from 11 AM until time of the services.

STEPHANIE D. RIDER
Stephanie D. Rider, 36, of 636 Dairy Lane, Palmyra, and formerly of Piketown, passed away Sunday, July 20 at home.
Born in Harrisburg on March 27, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Joyce D. Smith Rider who preceded her in death on July 1, 2002, and Charles E. Rider of Winchester, Virginia.
She was employed by the Hershey Foods Corporation in the Plant Sanitation Department. She was a 1985 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School. She attended the Mt. Laurel Church of God, Piketown. In 1985 she was named Miss Congeniality in the Miss Hummelstown contest where she represented the Hummelstown Rotary Club. She was a member of the Chocolate Workers Union Local 464 and the Middletown Hunters’ & Anglers’ Association; and a social member of the American Legion Post 265. She was an avid hunter, and enjoyed spending time with her nephews and crafting.
She is survived by her fiancé, Mark J. Schuster of Palmyra; two brothers , Charles K. Rider of North Annville and Steven E. Rider of Harrisburg; and two nephews, Dallas S. Rider and Mitchell K. Rider both of Middletown.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Paul W. Kauffman, pastor of the Harrisburg Uptown Shared Ministry, officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 AM, in Shenk’s Church Cemetery, Conewago Township. BETTY JANE NESSINGER
Betty Jane Nessinger, 73, of Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2004, at the Harrisburg Hospital.
She was born in Sinking Springs on December 7, 1930. She was a homemaker.
Betty was a life member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 265, Hummelstown and a member of the Reinhold’s VFW.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Rudolph E. Nessinger; a son, Leo Gerald Nessinger, Sr., husband of Jill M. of Linglestown, a daughter, Patricia Ann Carnathan, wife of Leonard E. of Linglestown, and a step-daughter, Judith Ann Smith of South Gate, CA; a brother, Thomas Keppley, Jr. of Womelsdorf, a sister, Marion Wertz of Myerstown; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Keppley.
Private Family Services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2004 at the Trefz and Bowser Funeral Home, Inc. 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Interment will be private on Friday, January 9, 2004 at the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township.

SARA MILLER EMRICK
Sara Miller Emrick, 89, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2003 at The Bridges at Bent Creek, Silver Spring Twp.
Born in Philadelphia on June 25, 1914, she was the daughter of the late James Randolph Page and Fannie Fredericka Schmidt Miller.
Sara retired after 30 years as an Accountant with the American Telephone and Telegraph Company. She was a member and former officer of the American Telephone Pioneers and the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Elkins Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Linden Sanders, Sr.
Surviving are her son, J. Linden Sanders, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Janet Partridge Sanders of Mechanicsburg; a brother, Albert Page Miller of Ridley Park; and two grandchildren, Deborah P. Sanders of West Chester, PA and Peter L. Sanders of Middlesex Twp.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2004 at 10:30 AM in the St. James Presbyterian Church, 1425 Orr’s Bridge Road, Mechanicsburg, with The Rev. James A. Reitz, officiating.

Virginia Grace Yoxheimer Bell, 79, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2003, at her home.
She was born in Renova on December 25, 1924. She was a homemaker. She was a graduate of the former William Penn High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Bell, on July 27, 2000.
Ginny is survived by one son, Donald R. Bell of Grantville; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

DAVID A. SINGLE
David A. Single, 63, of Derry Township, PA, passed away Friday, December 26, 2003 in the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA.
Born in Chicago, IL, on June 15, 1940, he was the son of the late Philip and Mary Dilk Single.
He was Vice President of Project Operations of Marsulex, Inc., Lebanon, PA, and was formerly employed by General Electric, Inc. He was a 1958 graduate of Bowen High School, Chicago, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 1962 from the Illinois Institute of Technology where he was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hummelstown, PA, where he had served on many committees and as Past President of the Congregation Council and Mutual Ministry Committee. He enjoyed fishing at Moneta, Virginia, gardening, exercising, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
David is survived by his wife of 41 years, Beverly J. Burr Single whom he married on June 16, 1962; three sons , Brian S. Single and his wife Bronda Byers Single of Elizabethtown, PA, Mark A. Single and his wife Rebecca Seaman Single of Peachtree City, GA, and Craig A. Single and his wife Elizabeth Ahlfeld Single of Downingtown, PA; one brother, Richard P. Single and his wife Thama Kanaske Single of Elmhurst, IL; and three grandchildren, Payton Elizabeth Single of Peachtree, GA, Cole Nathaniel Single of Elizabethtown, PA, and Andrew Philip Single of Downingtown, PA.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at 6:30 PM in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 West Main Street, Hummelstown, PA, with The Rev. Dr. Alan C. Wenrich and The Rev. Thomas E. Karge, his pastors, officiating. Viewing will be Tuesday in the church’s parlor from 3:30 to 6:30 PM. MINNIE E. LEX
Minnie E. Lex, 86, of Grayson View, Lower Paxton Township, and formerly of the Sand Hills and Ulysses, passed away Friday, December 19, 2003.
Born in Richfield, Juniata County, on March 28, 1917, she was the daughter of the late J. Harry and Tillie Lauver Miller.
She retired from the Hershey Foods Corporation where she had worked in the Wrapping Department. She was a member of the West Pike Baptist Church, West Pike; and the Chocolate Workers Union Local 464.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, plastic canvas crafting, gardening and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Lex, on February 9, 1999.
Minnie is survived by two sons ; John V. Lex and his wife Patty Lex of Loveland, CO, and Richard E. Lex and his wife Mary Lex of Lander, WY; one daughter, Joan E. wife of Jack Rhoads of Millersburg; two brothers , Harold E, Miller of Elizabethtown and William H. Miller of Duncannon; and one sister, Lottie E. Basehore of Acardia, FLA; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Gary John Lex, in June of 1980.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2003, at 11:00 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with Pastor John Prouty, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Hershey Cemetery. Viewing will be in the funeral home Monday, December 22, 2003 from 7 to 9 PM and Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM.
