Gerald R. Reigle Sr.
BURNHAM — Gerald R. Reigle Sr., 62, of 304 Eighth Ave., Burnham, died at 3:15 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at his residence.
Born Nov. 14, 1942, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Kathryn (Wilson) Reigle. He is survived by his wife, Connie (Walters) Reigle, whom he married on March 10, 1962.
He is survived by: children, Gerald R. Reigle Jr. and his wife, Tina, Burnham, Judy A. Specht and husband, Gregg, Mifflintown, and Jeff A. Reigle and wife, Jenny, Burnham; four grandchildren, Tiffany Reigle, Kyle Reigle, Hannah Specht and Miranda Reigle; great-grandchild, Dylan Fisher; brothers and sisters , Joseph Reigle IV and wife, Fran, Maryland, Richard Reigle, McClure, Patricia Olnick, Burnham, and Joan Bay and husband, James, McClure.
He was preceded in death by: a brother, Herbert Reigle; and a sister, Doris Wagner.
He was employed as a truck driver for Jevic Transportation of New Jersey, retiring due to disability in 2002.
He was a member of the Army National Guard, Lewistown.
He was a member of the Lewistown Masonic Lodge #203, National Rifle Association and the North American Hunting Club,
He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, NASCAR and his beloved grandchildren and great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2005, at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Wayne Mast officiating. There will be no public viewing, however, family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
A Masonic Service will be held following the Memorial Service at the funeral home by Lewistown Masonic Lodge #203. Interment is private and at the convenience of the family.

Donald M. Boyer Sr.
PORT ROYAL — Donald M. Boyer Sr., 79, of RR 1, Port Royal, died at 2:34 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at Lewistown Hospital.
He was born Sept. 22, 1925, in Paradise, Lancaster County, Pa., a son of the late Paul and Erma (Simpson) Boyer. His wife, Sharon A. (Young) Boyer, whom he married Sept. 23, 1980, survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Donald M. Boyer Jr., Farmington, Mo., Bruce Boyer, Fla., Jackie Sandoe, Ga., Blain Boyer, Leola, Rollie Manley, New Holland, Mark Manley, Litiz, and Anita Keys, Lancaster; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He retired as a truck driver from Yellow Freight, Gap, Pa., and was an owner/operator of B & D Trucking, Gordonville, Pa.
He was a dedicated husband and family man who was a down-to-earth person and a friend to all — from coast to coast. He was an avid hunter and racing fan, having been a stock car driver and a sprint car owner.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Mifflintown Chapel of Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with Donald W. Prye Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Church Hill Cemetery, RR 2, Port Royal.
Viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Joyce R. Lenhart
BEAVER SPRINGS — Joyce R. Lenhart, 63, of RR 1, Beaver Springs, passed away unexpectedly at 7:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at her home.
She was born April 20, 1941, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Edna Boonie. Her husband, Robert L. Lenhart, whom she married March 13, 1956, survives.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Elaine Hestor, Port Ann; two sons , Robert Lewis Lenhart III, Esq., of Milford, and Steven Richard Lenhart, of Dover; eight grandchildren; Tiffany, Sabrina, Elizabeth, Daniel, Ashley, Andrew, Kathleen and Ian; two great-granddaughters, Paige and Tabetha; a half brother, Kenneth Moyer, RR 1, Middleburg; and two half sisters , Donna Jean Moyer and Carol Ann Moyer, both of Beavertown.
She was preceded in death by a son, David S. Lenhart, in 1997; and two half brothers , Jacob “Jake” Moyer, and Allen Moyer, in 1999.
She had worked as a packer for Playtex, Dover, Del., for many years and was employed by Careeb Diamond Co. and British Petroleum, both of North Africa, while her husband served in the Air Force at Wheelis AFB, in North Africa. She had been very involved with the Beaver Springs Ambulance Club for many years, serving as an EMT and as treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid reader and enjoyed making crafts.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Aurand Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown, with the Rev. David Meckley officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m., with the family being present 7 to 9 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Park Henry Hoffman
MCALISTERVILLE — Park Henry Hoffman, 74, RR2, McAlisterville, Fayette Township, Juniata County, entered into eternal rest at 9 p.m. Thursday April 14, 2005, in the Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin, where he had been admitted on May 14, 2004.
Mr. Hoffman was born at Leister Valley, Cocolamus, a son of the late Harry E. and Ruth (Strawser) Hoffman. On July 9, 1951, he was married to the former Themla J. Amey, survives. His passing breaks a strong marital union of nearly 54 years.
He attended the Fayette High School, Juniata County.
Initially, M.r. Hoffman was employed at the Roush, Lauver and Roush Ford Garage, McAlisterville, and then at the Cocolamus Feed Mill as a truck driver, followed then by VanDyke Brick Works, Van Dyke, as a general laborer and following employment there he was engaged in farming, especially in raising turkeys, chickens and pigs, until he retired in 1998.
Mr. Hoffman was a member of the Bunkertown Church of the Brethren, McAlisterville. He also held membership in the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.
Most of all, Mr. Hoffman was a loving and devoted husband, Father and grandfather who enjoyed hunting deer at an earlier age. He really loved the special moments spent in game playing with his cherished grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Thelma: is a son and daughter-in-law, Barry G. Hoffman and wife, Judy M., RR1, Richfield; three grandchildren, Kurtis Z. Hoffman, Charleston, W. Va., Marcus K. Hoffman, Pittsburgh, and Samantha L. Hoffman, at home; one brother, Roy Hoffman and his wife, Loretta, RR1, Richfield; two sisters , Thelma Vandegrift, RR2, McAlisterville, and Nina Kay Graybill and husband, Sam, Richfield; and three generations of nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Hoffman was preceded by: fosters sisters , Olive Kratzer and Twila Fiedler.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2005, from the Bunkertown Church of Brethren, McAlisterville, with the Rev. Eugene Heidler and the Rev. Forrest Gordon, officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Goodwill Cemetery, McAlisterville.
Family, friends and other will gather for the viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2005, in the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills, and again from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Monday, April 18, 2005 at the church.

John W. Lenker
RICHFIELD — John William Lenker, 79, of Main Street, Richfield, entered into eternal rest at 2:40 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005, at Sunbury Community Hospital, where he was transported after being fatally stricken at his home.
He was born Dec. 16, 1925, in Washington Township, RR 3, Middleburg, a son of the late John Simon and Joyce (Freed) Lenker. His wife of nearly 59 years, Naomi E. Garman, whom he married Dec. 22, 1946, survives.
Also surviving are: a son, John R. Lenker, at home; two daughters , Susan J. Russell and husband Joseph P., Richfield, and Ann S. Gelder, Hershey; six grandchildren, Sean J. Russell, Michael P. Russell and wife Angela, Amy E. Pannebaker, Christine A. Russell, Elizabeth M. Gelder, and Steven D. Gelder; a cherished great-granddaughter, Jordan; a brother, Marvin Lenker and wife Joann, Richfield; two sisters , Miriam Troutman and husband Chester, Middleburg, and Shirley Ferster, Freeburg, Pa.; and two generations of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Lawrence Ferster, in 1985.
Mr. Lenker was educated at the former Freeburg High School.
He served with the U.S. Marines during World War II, having enlisted for duty in 1943. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
Early in his marriage John was employed by his Father -in-law at Meadowbrook Game Birds, Richfield, later purchasing the business following Mr. Garman’s passing, and operating it for 21 years. In his early years, Mr. Lenker worked at Wood Mode, Kreamer. From 1968 on, John volunteered at the Pepsi stand at the annual Richfield Dutch Days, never missing even a year.
He was an active member the Richfield United Church of Christ, serving on its consistory board. He was a life member of the Richfield Sportsmens Association and the Freeburg Volunteer Fire Company. He was also a member of The Middleburg Lodge, 619; F. & A.M., Middleburg; Harrisburg Region Blood Bank; and both the Richfield Fire Company and Ambulance League. In addition, he was a charter member of the Richfield Lions Club and had served as its president and vice president.
He loved his family and took great pride in his care of his lawn and garden.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Richfield United Church of Christ, Richfield, with Pastor Tammy Gessner officiating. Interment , with full military honors accorded by The Juniata County Joint Veterans Council, will be in the Richfield Union Cemetery, Richfield.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 1 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.

Grace I. Harris
GRANVILLE — Grace I. Harris, 79, formerly of Rothrock School Apartments, McVeytown, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2005, at the Malta Home, Granville.
Born Jan. 11, 1926, in Granville, she was a daughter of the late Glenn Porch and Della (Weaver) Havice. Her husband, Joseph Harris Jr., formerly of Conowingo, Md., preceded her in death on May 19, 1993.
Surviving are: daughters , Gloria Stewart, Bel Air, Md., and Carol Espigh, Linglestown; a son, Donald Harris; a very good friend, Grace Comer, Street, Md.; brothers , James A. Porch and wife Doris, Granville, Edgar “Sonny” Porch and wife Cindy, Lewistown, and Clair Porch and companion Martha Casner, Lewistown; grandchildren, Tracey Banworth, Bel Air, Walter “Joe” Stewart and wife Cindy, Linthicum, Md., and Denny Espigh, Newport; great-grandchildren, Crystal, Ashley and Dusty; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
She retired from the Bel Air Sewing Factory in 1988 with 30 years of service.
She was a member of the McVeytown United Methodist Church and the Pensioners Club, Lewistown. She was also an auxiliary member of the VFW Post 7011, Lewistown, the Malta Home, the Granville and City Hook and Ladder fire companies, and the United Fire and Rescue Services.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown, with the Rev. Dale Dobbs officiating. Interment will be in Highview Memorial Gardens, Fallston, Md.
A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Martha G. Rohrer
MECHANICSBURG — Martha G. Rohrer, 93, of Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Lewistown, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at Messiah Village.
She was born Nov. 26, 1911, in West Milton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Irwin H. and Elizabeth (Hershey) Gramm. Her husband, the Rev. Harold L. Rohrer, whom she married Feb. 22, 1936, in Troy, Ohio, preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2002.
Surviving are: a daughter, Joyce A. King, Belleville; a son, Lowell I. Rohrer, McVeytown; two sisters , Ellen Wiles and Isabelle Franklin, both of Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Carl E. Rohrer.
She was a member of the Messiah Village Brethren in Christ Church.
She was a homemaker and a pastor’s wife who served in the Pleasant Hill, Ohio; Granville, Pa.; and Uniontown, Ohio Brethren in Christ churches.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Messiah Village chapel, with Pastor Ron Burgard officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Pleasant View Cemetery, Mattawana.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the chapel.

RICHFIELD — Ronald David “Pap” Ebright, 72, of Richfield, died on Saturday, April 16, 2005, at his home.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Richfield. Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran & Reformed Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills.

Rachel E. Warntz
LEWISTOWN — Rachel E. Warntz, 82, of 68 Long Drive, Lewistown, died at 9:59 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005, at Lewistown Hospital.
She was born Sept. 18, 1922, in Altoona, a daughter of the late Norman E. and Emma L. (Hayden) Vaughn. Her husband, Harold C. Warntz, whom she married in 1942, survives.
Also surviving are her children, Harold C. Warntz Jr., Clinton Township, Mich., William H. Warntz, 1230 Glenwood Ave., Lewistown, Frank H. Warntz and wife Debbie, Waxhaw, N.C., and Naomi Rigel, Harrisburg; and four grandchildren, Lisa, Bryson, Lauren and Madison.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters .
Early in life, she worked at Fishers Electronics, Reedsville, and Arrow Shirt Factory, Lewistown. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Evangel Baptist Church, where she was in the Berean Sunday school class.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Darrell Wireman officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
The viewing will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ruth Notestine Lepley
GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Ruth Notestine Lepley, 97, of Gaithersburg, Md., died Friday, April 15, 2005, in Bethesda.
She was born in Ferguson Valley, Lewistown, the daughter of the late Robert and Prudence (Snyder) Notestine. Her husband, William Lepley, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Pappas, and husband, Ted; and grandchildren, Katie and John.
She was preceded in death by brothers , John, Daniel, Robert, Howard and Kenneth Notestine.
She was a homemaker and member of Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church.
Her viewing will be Friday, in Gaithersburg, with burial in Arlington Cemetery, at a later date.
