Betty K. Guest, 71, of Jeannette, went home to walk with the Lord on Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Thomaston, Ga., a daughter of the late Seth and Roberta Sullivan Walker. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Watson Guest Sr.; brothers Joseph, Elijah and Junior Walker; and sisters , Louise Sterling and Bernice Walker. Surviving are four sons , the Rev. George C. Guest and Morris J. Guest, both of Atlanta, Ga., Watson Guest Jr. and Dwayne E. Guest, both of Jeannette; five daughters , Mrs. Terry (Rosemarie) Taylor of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Richard (Sandra Ann) Jones of Atlanta, Ga., Carolyn F. Brown, Kathy Guest and Betty L. Guest, all of Jeannette; a brother, Elijah Walker, and a sister, Frances Billinger, both of Atlanta, Ga.; 17 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette. Ruth Hughes Hazen, 89, of Brownsburg, Va., formerly of Manor, Pa., died Friday, April 14, 2000, at the home of her daughter. Born Nov. 11, 1910, in Duquesne, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Harry Edward Hughes and Jennie Ford Hughes. Mrs. Hazen was the widow of Blair Irwin Hazen and was a member of Manor Presbyterian Church, Manor, Pa. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters . She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Adair and Bill Dunlap of Brownsburg, Va.; a son and daughter-in-law, Darryl and Jeanetta Hazen of Magna, Utah; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 18, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon, Pa., with the Rev. Donna Havrisko officiating. Robert Hegland, 58, of LaPorte, Ind., formerly of Penn, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Michigan City, Ind. He was a son of the late Elmer R. Hegland and Margaret V. Hegland. He is survived by a daughter, Sherry Rager and husband, Ron, of Jeannette; a son, Bobby of Jeannette; a sister, A. Margaret Smartnick of Greensburg; a brother, Donald C. of South Bend, Ind.; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Services were held at the Greenwood Chapel Cemetery, Michigan City, Ind.

Stephen Joseph Holoman, 74, of Calumet, died Thursday, April 13, 2000, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Dec. 22, 1925, in Calumet, a son of the late John M. and Mary K. Tressa Holoman. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the Walworth Co. of South Greensburg. He was a member of St. Florian Catholic Church, United, and a life member of the Calumet Volunteer Fire Department. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters : John R. Holoman and his wife, Josephine, of New Castle, Mary R. Holoman of Greensburg, Thomas L. Holoman, Monsignor of St. Mary's Church in Denton, Neb., William P. Holoman of Calumet, Ann Quinn and her husband, Jack, of Rhode Island and Betty Holoman of Calumet; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JAY A. Ruby Elva Howell, 88, of Penn Township, died Thursday, April 13, 2000, in IHS of Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg. She was born July 1, 1911, in Juneau, Indiana County, a daughter of the late Mabel I. Smith. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for the Jeannette Glass Co. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Howell, in 1992; and several brothers and sisters . She is survived by two sons , George H. and wife, Thelma J. Howell, of Ringertown and William "Hunter" Howell of Grapeville; two daughters , Betty and husband, Floyd Metzger, of Las Palomas, N.M. and Marion and husband, Eugene Lewis, of Penn Township; a brother, Clarence Alwine of Clarion; and two sisters , Dora Thomas of McCullough and Edith Shirley of Penn Township; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Grandmother of Elias Renny Lewis and Ian Xavier Lewis. Sister of Charles Lee Inglefield III and his wife, Sheryl D. Inglefield of Bluffton, S.C. aunt of Pamela J. Inglefield, Christine A. Mary L. Lowbody Ingraham, 94, of Peoria, Ariz., formerly of Jeannette, died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, in Peoria. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a school teacher in the Jeannette, North Huntingdon and Norwin school districts, and was a full professor of mathematics at the Allegheny Community College, Boyce Campus. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent, Jeannette, and a member for many years of the library board of the Jeannette Public Library. She is survived by the following children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: George and Tacy Ingraham and Jon of Peoria, Ariz., Natalie and Robert Youngstead, Brenda and Ken of Lowden, Tenn., Chris Sinclair and Gary of Westmoreland City and two great-granddaughters, Brenda Gulla and Rachael Sinclair. Stephen A. Kontros, 76, of Greensburg RD12, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, in the Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Aug. 19, 1923, in Whitney, a son of the late Michael and Anna Oleksik Kontros. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by Hempfield Foundries. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg, the American Legion Post 981 of South Greensburg, and the Roosevelt Club, Hempfield Township. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Mary Pavuk Kontros; a son, Robert J. Kontros of Greensburg RD2; a brother, John Kontros of Ravenna, Ohio; four sisters , Mary Chelewenski of New Jersey, Helen Pavuk of Cleveland, Ohio, Ann Kozusko of Whitney and Betty Ernette of Harrison City; and several nieces and nephews. John A. Lisbon, 84, of Whitney, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at home. He was born June 25, 1915, in Whitney, a son of the late Clyde F. and Carrie (Hunter) Lisbon. Prior to retirement, he served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers , Alvy, Clyde S. "Bud," and Wilbur C. "Dink" Lisbon; and a sister, Edna Speal. He is survived by two brothers , Joseph F. and wife, Grace, of Mammoth and Thomas R. Lisbon and wife, Margaret, of Whitney; two sisters , Mrs. Emma Harr of Latrobe RD3 and Mrs. Ann Ottino of Whitney; a sister-in-law, Shirley Lisbon of Latrobe RD1; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including his great-niece, Nattie Annie. W. Glenn McDowell, 75, of Ligonier, died Friday, April 14, 2000, at the Edgewood Nursing Center, Youngstown, Pa. He was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Cook Township, a son of the late James Chester and Lulu Margaret Neiderhiser McDowell. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Presbyterian Church, where he served as a trustee. He was retired as a mechanic from Chelsted ®MDBO¯®MDNM¯Motors, Greensburg. He was an honorary member of the Ligonier Valley Historical Society®MDBO¯.®MDNM¯ In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane; a brother, Ira Eugene McDowell; and a grandson, Denis Pirl. Donald R. Muko, 69, of Mt. Pleasant RD7 (East Huntingdon Township), died Friday, April 14, 2000, in Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born April 25, 1930, in Mt. Pleasant Township, a son of the late George and Josephine Shebeck Muko. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant. Prior to his retirement, Donald was employed by U.S. Steel Corp. as a brick mason. Following his retirement, he continued masonry work. Donald was a graduate of East Huntingdon Township High School, Class of 1948. He was a life member of the B.P.O.E. 868, and a member of the East Huntingdon Lions Club, Shriners and Marion Lodge #562 F&AM of Scottdale and was a 32nd Degree Mason, belonging to the Lodge of Perfection, Valley of Uniontown, Scottish Rite Consistory, Valley of Pittsburgh, and a Noble of the Mystic Shrine, Syria Mosque. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers , George and Edward Muko. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sarah McCloy Muko; three sons , Donald Eugene Muko of Scottdale, Thomas Alan Muko and wife, Judy, of Fairmont, W.Va., and David Lee Muko at home; a daughter, Rebecca A. Muko of Youngwood; a brother, Richard Muko and wife, Ruby, of Trauger; and a sister, Joanne Hall and husband, Paul, of Bolivar. Friends will be received in the EUGENE G. He was born Dec. 15, 1962, in McKeesport, a son of Dona Young Ross of Crittenden, Ky., and the late William Ross. He was a 1980 graduate of Norwin Senior High School, and furthered his studies in the field of retail management following high school. In addition to his mother , he is survived by his daughter, Brittany Ross of Harrison City; a brother, James Ross of North Huntingdon; and a sister, Vicki Sparks of Crittenden, Ky.
