Alice M. (Collins) Frymyer
LEWISTOWN - Alice M. (Collins) Frymyer, 90, a resident of Ohesson Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Goss Terrace, Lewistown, died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at the nursing home.
Born May 7, 1912, in Millerstown, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Shoemaker) Collins. Her husband, Thomas Albert Frymyer, died Sept. 30, 1982.
Surviving are: five children, Wanda Spangler, Phoenix, AZ, Thomas A. Frymyer Jr. and wife Carol, Mrs. Richard (Jolene) Stydinger, and John E. Frymyer, all of Lewistown, and Mrs. Bob (Linda) Spicher, McClure; two sisters , Mrs. Elizabeth Crawford, Lakeland, FL, and Mrs. Louise Davidson, Mifflintown; a brother, Walter Collins, Belleville; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
She retired from the Royal Dairy where she was a cook and waitress. Early in life she worked at Dutch's Diner, Lewistown.
She was a Protestant by faith.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Pastor Lenny Coates officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jay L. Fulkroad
McAlisterville - Jay L. Fulkroad, 93, of Locust Grove Retirement Village, HCR 67, Mifflin and formerly of McAlisterville, died at 1:02 p.m. Sunday Feb. 2, 2003, at the village.
Born July 15, 1909, in Fermanagh Twp., Juniata County, he was a son of the late Jacob and Edna (Keiser) Fulkroad. His first wife, Ida M. (Krissinger) Fulkroad preceded him in death on July 19, 1966. His second wife, Otessa Jane (Collins) Fulkroad, preceded him in death on Nov. 23, 1991.
Surviving are: four children, Betty Dinger, Harrisburg, Donna Jean Barth and her husband James, McAlisterville, James L. Fulkroad and his wife, Joan, RR2 Mifflintown, and Gerald E. Fulkroad and his wife Karen, McAlisterville; three step-sons , Richard Gearhart, Reedsville, Clarence Gearhart and Jay Gearhart, both of Lewistown; two sisters , Alice Smith, Allentown, and Elsie Davis, RD Richfield; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta Fabian and 10 siblings.
In earlier life he worked for his Father , Jacob Fulkroad, until he purchased the business from his Father in 1954. Then in 1966 he formed a partnership with his sons , Jay Fulkroad & sons , Inc., RD2 McAlisterville. In 1976, he turned the business over to his sons , but maintained a major role in the operation until 2001, because he loved his job and devoted his whole life to it.
He was a member of Bunkertown Church of the Brethren, RR1 McAlisterville.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday from the Bunkertown Church of the Brethren with Pastor James C. Huskins and Rev. Forrest Gordon officiating. Interment will be in Goodwill Cemetery, RR1 McAlisterville.
A viewing will be held from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at the McAlisterville Chapel of the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 16 Westfall St., with the family present from 7-9 p.m. There will be no viewing at the church Friday.

Jeffrey W. Fultz
HUMMELSTOWN - Jeffrey W. Fultz, 24, of Hummelstown, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2003, as a result of injuries suffered in an accident.
Born Feb. 20, 1979, in Harrisburg, he was a son of William W. and Pauline K. (Hummel) Fultz, Hummelstown.
Surviving are: a sister, Sgt. Jessica L. Fultz, Hummelstown; maternal grandmother, Luella M. Hess Hummel, Myerstown; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was an emotional support teacher for Lower Dauphin School District; and was a former Emotional Support Teacher for Red Land High School for the 2001-02 school year. He was a football coach for Cedar Cliff High School for the 2002 season; and was a former offensive line, defensive ends, and outside linebacker football coach for Lower Dauphin High School for the 2002 and 2001 seasons. He was also a former Lower Dauphin junior varsity head coach and defensive coordinator.
He worked at Chick's Tavern, Hummelstown on Saturday evenings.
He was a former counselor with the Hummelstown Summer Recreational Program, and volunteered his time as a counselor for the lower Dauphin Jump-Start Program, and the High on Kids Youth Enjoying Summer adventure based education camp.
He graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Special Education from Millersville University in 2001 with his student teaching being completed at Hershey Middle School and Columbia Junior High School. He was a 1997 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School where he was a two-year letter winner; served as captain of the 1996 football team, and was a starter on the 1995 Lower Dauphin District and Eastern Championship Football Team. He was the 1991 recipient of the Fuzzy Few Organization's Donald Fry Memorial Award. He was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association.
He was a former member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Hummelstown. In addition to teaching, helping youth, and playing and coaching football, he also enjoyed weight lifting.
His funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church, 433 East Main Street, Hummelstown, with Rev. John A. Schaefer officiating. Private interment will be in Hummelstown Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the church. A time of remembrance will also be held in the church's Fellowship Hall following the memorial service.

Patsy A. Fultz
MILROY - Patsy A. Fultz, 56, of 152 College Ave., (P.O. Box 298), Milroy, died at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at her residence.
Born Nov. 15, 1946, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of Herbert L. and Dorothy Eleanor (Baker) Wilson of Belleville. Her husband, Gary E. Fultz, whom she married Sept. 18, 1965, survives.
Also surviving are: three children, James E. and Sunny Fultz, Myrtle Beach, SC, Mrs. Todd (Melissa J.) Marshall, Columbia, SC, and Mrs. Andy (Rebecca L.) Fultz-Wargo, Renovo; three sisters , Shirley Kinzie, Lewisburg, WV, Mrs. Dell (Reba) Stuck, Belleville, and Mrs. Alan R. (Betty Jean) Forshey, Milroy; and six grandchildren.
She was a registrar at Lewistown Hospital for 13 and a half years, she had been a window trimmer and designer at Bon-Ton, and she was a phototypesetter at Clip 'n Paste Printing.
A member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Milroy, Patsy served as treasurer for the church council and Bluebird Sunday School Class.
She also served as Sexton of the church for 22 years.
She was an avid supporter of Junior Babe Ruth, she helped found Pat's Book Basket, a program designed to provide books to Pediatric patients of Lewistown Hospital, with the help and support of many loving family and friends.
She was a 1964 graduate of Kish High School, she attended Juniata College, Huntingdon.
Her funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 129 S. Main St., Milroy with Pastor Rosalie N. Smith officiating. Interment will be in St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Belleville.

Paul L. Fultz
MCCLURE - Paul L. Fultz, 41, of RR2 McClure, passed away at 4:41 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He had been in failing health for the past three months.
Born May 4, 1961, in Lewisburg, he was a son of Park E. and Mary G. (Walter) Fultz, RR2 McClure.
Also surviving are: his companion, Norma J. Dobson; two brothers , Gary D. Fultz, Middleburg, and Mark E. Fultz, McClure; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Gloria J. and Tom Tice, Middleburg, and Michele L. Fultz, McClure; Norma's children who he considered his step-children, Robert Dobson and his wife Barbara, New Lancaster Valley, Bonnie Freed, McClure, Betty McKnight and husband Clair, McClure, Patrick Dobson and fiancee, Jeri, McClure, and Thomas Dobson, McClure; and 10 grandchildren, Robert James, Casey, Brandy, Jonathan, Nathan, Marissa, Nicole, Mariah, Beaonca, and Destiny.
He was preceded in death by a niece, Ashley Tice, in 1994.
He was a 1979 graduate of West Snyder High School.
Earlier in life, he was employed at Kinney Shoe Corp. plant in Beaver Springs, and later was employed at Beavertown Weaving Mill. At the time of his death, he was employed with Remmey Palletts, Beaver Springs.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg with Rev. Kenneth Dockery officiating. Interment will be in Black Oak Ridge Cemetery, RR2 McClure.

Rodney A. Fultz Sr.
SPRING MILLS - Rodney A. Fultz Sr., 51, of 115 Old Paradise Lane, Spring Mills, died at 8:45 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2003, at Centre Community Hospital, State College.
Born Sept. 18, 1951, in Lewistown, he was a son of the Rev. Paul E. J. Fultz, Spring Mills and Mary Joanne Green, Centre Hall.
Also surviving are: sons , Rodney A. Fultz Jr. and his wife, Becky, and son, Matthew, Killeen, TX and Clarence P. Fultz Sr. and his wife, Crystal, and children, Alyssa, Clarence Jr. and Patrick, Spring Mills; five brothers and two sisters .
He worked as a sales manager at Professional Equipment, Port Matilda.
A U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, he received the Bronze Star Medal, Aircraft Crewman Badge, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, and Vietnam Service Medal.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 444, Milheim and Linden Hall Bible Church, Centre Hall.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with Steve Dershimer officiating, assisted by the Rev. Paul E. J. Fultz. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy.

Pauline V. Galvin
HAGERSTOWN, MD - Pauline V. Galvin, 92, of 10853 Oak Valley Drive, Hagerstown, MD, formerly of Lewistown, died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home, Boonesboro, MD.
Born Oct. 10, 1910, in East Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Cora (Piper) Smith. Her husband, Clarence N. "Pete" Galvin, whom she married June 25, 1939, survives in Hagerstown, MD.
Also surviving are: a son, Dennis N. Galvin, Hagerstown, MD; a sister, Mary Steinberger, Locust Grove, Mifflin; four granddaughters, Corinne Galvin Stone, Smithsburg, MD, Angela Galvin Burker, Sharpsburg, MD, Christa Galvin Angelo, Elkridge, MD, and McKenna Galvin, Hagerstown, MD; and five great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lewistown, and Blue Bird Sunday School Class.
Her funeral service will be at noon Thursday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Rev. David Schmuck officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.

Florence M. Garver
MCVEYTOWN - Florence M. Garver, 85, formerly of RD1 McVeytown and Rothrock School Apartments, McVeytown, died at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at Ohesson Manor Nursing Home, Lewistown.
Born July 21, 1917, in Belleville, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Blanche (Querry) Rowles and step- Father , Elroy Garver. Her husband, H. Russell Garver, whom she married April 3, 1940, died Aug. 2000.
Surviving are: a son, Carl R. Garver and wife, Pamela, Palmyra; a step-brother, Glenn Garver, Bellwood; two grandchildren, Robert and Jonathan Garver, both of Palmyra.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter. She raised a foster daughter, Nancy Bishop of Hummelstown and several other foster children.
She was a lifelong homemaker and housewife. She enjoyed rural farm life, gardening and reading.
She was a member of Country Crossroads Sr. Citizens Center, Atkins Mills, a former member of McVeytown United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, currently a member of the Atkinson Mills United Methodist Church, where she is in the women's Sunday School Class and she attended Mt. Union Area Schools.
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Harshbarger Funeral Home, McVeytown, with Rev. Jeanette Rapp officiating. Interment will be in Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the service time Monday at the funeral home.

Janet M. Garver
ALTOONA - Janet M. Garver, 77, of Bellwood, died Friday morning, May 2, 2003, at Bon Secours Holy Family Hospital, Altoona.
She was born Dec. 12, 1925, in Newton Hamilton, a daughter of the late Ross T. and Esther (Jones) Morrison. She is survived by her husband, Glenn L. Garver, whom she married on Dec. 21, 1943, in Winchester, VA.
Also surviving are: two brothers , William R. Morrison, McVeytown and Robert H. Morrison, Blairsville; four sisters , Martha Stine and Mary Ellen Harshbarger, both of McVeytown, Louise Pollock, Atkinson Mills, and Patsy Barnes, Lynchburg, VA.
Mrs. Garver was preceded in death by a son, Bruce H., in 1995.
She was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church, Altoona, where she was a member of the Married Couples Sunday School Class and also served on the Altar Guild.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, at Blair Memorial Park Chapel, Antis Township. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at St. James Lutheran Church, Altoona, with Pastor Ralph Hamer officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.

Anita R. Garrity
MILROY - Anita R. Garrity, 85, of 58 King Street, Milroy, formerly of Philadelphia, died at 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.
Born April 12, 1918, in Atlantic City, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Daniel O. and Anna (Orlandi) Geary. Her husband, Thomas Hugh Garrity, died Oct. 5, 1969.
Surviving are: eight children, Marianne Goodwin, Quakertown, Marge Passione, Philadelphia, Dorothy Bens, Shinglehouse, Joanne Snyder, Philadelphia, Thomas Garrity, Bainbridge, Joseph Garrity, Quakertown, David Garrity, Shinglehouse, and Kevin M. Garrity, Milroy; three brothers , Daniel Geary, Port Charlotte, FL, Thomas Geary, Portland, OR, and William Geary, North Miami Beach, FL; 24 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons , Robert Garrity in 1990 and John Garrity in 1999, and a sister, Adalaide Sterling.
She had been a licensed practical nurse.
She graduated from James Martin School of Nursing, Philadelphia.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rowland-Myers Funeral Home, 7013 Torresdale Ave., Philadelphia, with Father Michael Diorio officiating. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Philadelphia.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service time Saturday at the funeral home.
