Charles A. Crumling
PALM HARBOR, FL - Charles A. Crumling, 58, of 2124 Vance Ave., Palm Harbor, FL, died Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor, FL.
Born Nov. 13, 1944, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Edwin F. and Margaret P. (Patterson) Crumling. His wife, Pamela R. (Rasnick) Crumling, whom he married May 25, 2003, survives.
Also surviving are: a sister, Peggy C. Bierach, Brick, NJ; and a brother, Edwin L. Crumling, Reedsville.
He was a sales representative for Commercial Design Service, Tampa, with 10 years of service. He had worked as Director of Purchasing for Morton Plant Hospital for 17 years, and also at York Hospital after graduating from Penn State.
He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.
He was a member of Clearwater Chamber of Commerce, Penn State Alumni Association, he attended Palm Harbor Methodist Church. He graduated from Kishacoquillas High School in 1962. He was a 1967 graduate of Penn State, and received his MBA from Florida Institute of Technology.
His graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown, with Marshall Deckard officiating. There will be no public viewing.

Anna M. Cunningham
MIFFLINTOWN - Anna M. Cunningham, 102, of Brookline Manor, RR 1 Mifflintown, and formerly of RR4 Mifflintown, died at 4:50 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003, at the manor.
Born March 23, 1901, in Wisconsin, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Olga Ruhlin. Her husband, James Russell Cunningham, preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1965.
Surviving are four sons , James J. Cunningham, Hallam, John H. Cunningham, RR4 Mifflintown, Wayne R. Cunningham, Seal Beach, CA and Patrick R. Cunningham, Bradenton, FL; a sister, Helen Plant, Ventura, CA; and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, W. Dale Cunningham.
She was a homemaker and a member of Centre Lutheran Church, RR2 Mifflintown, where she was the oldest living member of the church. She was also a member of Walker Grange 286.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday from the Mifflintown Chapel of Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with Rev. Louise L. Reynolds officiating. Interment will be in Adams Cemetery, RR4 Mifflintown.
There will be no viewing or visitation.

Dora Beatrice Cunningham
LEWISTOWN - Dora Beatrice Cunningham, 86, a resident of Ohesson Manor and formerly of 24 Briar Patch Lane, Lewistown, died at 5:24 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at Lewistown Hospital.
Born July 26, 1916, in Big Isaac, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late William and Zona (Hickman) Nicholas. Her husband, Francis Wilson Cunningham died in 1972.
Surviving are: four children, John F. Cunningham, Martinsburg, WV, Rollin B. Cunningham, South Hampton, NJ, Gary L. Cunningham, La Plata, MD, and Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Briar, 21 Briar Patch Lane, Lewistown; a sister, Mrs. Wavelean Douglas, Salem, WV; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters .
She was a nurse's aide for over 20 years at F.W. Black Community Hospital.
She was a Methodist by faith.
She was a member of the Lewistown Owls Club Auxiliary.
Private graveside services were held in Juniata Memorial Park with Rev. Clifford R. Miller officiating.

Paul D. Curtis
MESA, AZ - Paul D. Curtis, 89, of 7750 E. Broadway Road, No. 297, Mesa, AZ, died Sunday evening in Mesa. His wife, Melba (Lindsey) Curtis survives.

William Arthur Davis Sr.
MIFFLINTOWN - William Arthur Davis, Sr., 68, of RR4 Mifflintown, died at home Saturday evening, May 3, 2003, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Betty Lu (Hood), whom he married March 26, 1954, in Winchester, VA.
Born in Siglerville, Mifflin County, on June 1, 1934, he was the son of the late Randall K.M and Emily E. (Ross) Davis.
Also surviving are: children, Lisa Davis, Saltillo, William A. Davis, Jr., and wife Isabelle, Palmer, AK, Mary Beth Houtz and husband Chris, Mifflintown, Tracy Davis, Concord and wife Laurie, Mifflintown, and former daughter-in-law, Carol (Hampton) Garner and husband Fred, Huntingdon; grandchildren, Janel, Amber, William III, Alex and Ross Davis, Alaska, Alisa and Ethan Houtz, Mifflintown, and Brittany Davis, Huntingdon; step-grandchildren, Terry Stephan and Randy Cain, Alaska, Jennifer Bruce, Shippensburg, and Kyle Bruce, Mifflintown; step-great-grandchildren, Cody and Gage Cain and Samantha Stephan of Alaska; and a sister, Mrs. Norman (Sarah Jo Anne) Hower, RR2 Thompsontown.
He was preceded in death by a brother, J. Franklin Davis; a sister, Sandra Jeanne Landis; and infant brothers , Randall Jr., Benjamin and Paul.
He was a graduate of Juniata (Joint) High School in 1952, Davis served as a mechanic in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He retired from his position as a nuclear-certified welder and welding supervisor at Standard Steel in 1992 and was serving on the Walker Township Planning Commission. In recent years he has helped on occasion in Ralph Kepner's Welding Shop.
A former Democratic Committeeman for Walker Township, Davis was a member of the Sand Springs Hunting Camp, the J.E. Bowen Post #122 Amvets of Thompsontown, and the Millerstown Moose. He enjoyed being co-owner and captain of Camp Why Not? in Wharton Township, Potter County. A life-long athlete, Davis golfed often and competed in the Tuesday Men's and Wednesday Mixed Leagues at Ney's Bowling Center. In addition, he was a volunteer for the Area Agency on Aging and participant in the Senior Games, and for the last twenty-five years, he helped with the annual Amvets Children's trout derby.
The family will receive friends at a viewing Tuesday, May 6 from 7-9 p.m. at the Mifflintown Chapel of Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.

Kay E. Deavor
LEWISTOWN - Kay E. Deavor, 60, of 98 Rowe Drive, Lewistown, died at 11:23 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at Hershey Medical Center.
Born March 14, 1943, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Robert W. Sr. and Kathryn (Allen) McCormick. Her husband, David L. Deavor, whom she married Feb. 22, 1964, survives.
Also surviving are a brother and two sisters , Robert W. McCormick Jr., Lewistown, Molly Swigart, Phoenixville and Mrs. Gary (Susan) Dean, Virginia Beach, VA.
She was employed at Fisher Electronics for 13 years, and also at K.B. Aerotech and Jamesway. She also owned and operated a ceramic shop and was last employed at C-Cor, State College.
She was a member of Pine Glen Christian Missionary and Alliance Church and National Wildlife Association.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Rev. Jerry Wise officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
There will be no public viewing, but family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.

Floyd J. 'June' Decker Jr.
Burnham - Floyd "June" Decker Jr., 79, of Beverly Healthcare William Penn, Lewistown, formerly of 111 Fourth St., Burnham, went home to be with our Lord at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare William Penn.
Born Nov. 22, 1923, in Burnham, he was a son of the late Floyd Murray and Catherine (Ashman) Decker. His wife, Anna Mary (Pierce) Decker, whom he married May 30, 1945, survives.
Also surviving are: seven children, Larry J. Decker, Kulpmont, Brenda Hartsock, Burnham, Floyd S. Decker, Coal Twp., Charles R. Decker, Burnham, Jeffery L. Decker, Pennsylvania , Melinda "Kay" Wagner, Burnham, and Crystal A. Varner, Richfield; 27 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
He was the last of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by two sons , Scott Allen and Walter Lynn Decker; a brother, three sisters ; and one granddaughter, Christina Goss.
He was a driver/mechanic for White Star Bus Lines, McClure, retiring in 1975.
He was a member of Maitland Church of the Brethren, and a life member of Yeagertown Fire Co. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Juniata Memorial Park, with Rev. John S. Walters officiating.
There will be no viewing.

Brian R. Dell
LEWISTOWN - Brian R. Dell, 20, of 591 Dry Valley Road, Lewistown, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at his residence.
Born Aug. 29, 1982, in Lewistown, he was a son of Russell E. and Margaret Rose (Bagrosky) Dell of 591 Dry Valley Road, Lewistown.
Also surviving are: a brother, LCPL Benjamin L. Dell, Jacksonville, NC; and maternal grandmother, Bertha L. Dell, Lewistown RD3.
He was a 2000 graduate of Indian Valley High School and attended York Technical Institute to be a Harley Mechanic. He was currently unemployed. He loved motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Rev. Thomas B. Morningstar officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy.

Patricia DeLuca
MERRIMACK - Patricia DeLuca, 69, of 18 Profile Drive, Merrimack, NH, died Jan. 29, 2003, at her home after a long illness.
Born Dec. 4, 1933, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late David E. and Erna M. (Klinger) Kearns. She is the widow of Charles W. DeLuca Jr., who died Dec. 11, 2001.
Surviving are: a son, Douglas DeLuca, Manchester, NH; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathleen and Joseph Roemer, Mt. Airy, MD and Eileen DeLuca, Merrimack, NH; three grandchildren, Nicole and Alison Roemer and Michele DeLuca, Goffstown; one sister, Doris Stoyer of Oil City; a brother-in-law, Joseph DeLuca, Marble Falls, TX; four sisters -in-law, Josephine Boova and Katherine Kapp, both of Harrisburg and Irene Campbell and Mary Jane Stevens, both of Youngstown, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Merrimack and was a resident of Merrimack for over 30 years.

Glenn L. Depew
MIFFLINTOWN - Glenn L. Depew, 69, of Mifflintown RR1, died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2003, in the Emergency Room of Lewistown Hospital.
Born April 4, 1934, in Fermanagh Township, Juniata County, he was a son of the late David R. and Hazel (Watts) Depew. His wife of 49 years, Millie (Snyder) Depew, survives.
Also surviving are: two daugh-ters, Mrs. Jeffrey (Patty) Willit, Rochester, NY and Mrs. Jeffrey (Donna) Pontius, Port Royal RR2; one son, James S. Depew, and his wife, Kathleen, Bowmansville; two sisters , Helen D. Frey, Beaver Springs and Mrs. John "Jack" (Joann) Hack, Danville; and eight grandchildren, Brandon, Mark and Laura Willit, Beth and Melissa Pontius, and Claire, Andrew and Elizabeth Depew.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Ethel M. Schell and five brothers , Ray Depew, David Depew Jr., twins, Lloyd Depew and Boyd Depew, and in childhood, Chester Depew.
He graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1952.
He was a life-long farmer and recently drove a school van for Leroy Stewart.
He was a very active member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pine Grove United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Lost Creek Mennonite Cemetery.
There will be a viewing Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown and on Wednesday at the church one hour prior to the service.

Linda Marie Desiderati
ASTORIA, OR - Linda Marie Desiderati, 55, of Astoria, OR, passed away June 1, 2003.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her much-loved companion, Herb Weaver; her two sons , Stephen Zellers, Chandler, AZ and David Colley, II, Salem, OR; and her two granddaughters, Lexi Zellers and Sophia Colley.
She is also survived by her Father , Paul Desiderati of Danville, and her mother , Betty Kranzfelder of Scottsdale, AZ; two sisters , Teresa Desiderati, Astoria, OR and Betty Richardson, Kelso, WA; and brother, James Desiderati, Danville.
She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
A viewing was held at 6 p.m. Monday, June 2, in Caldwell's Luce-Layton Mortuary, 1165 Franklin Ave., Astoria, OR.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown. Interment will be held Monday, June 9, in Juniata Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewistown.
