Clair T. Weiss, 74, of McMichaels, died Wednesday in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.
He was the husband of Pearl (Miller) Weiss. They had observed their 50th wedding anniversary last November.
Born in McMichaels, he was a son of the late Francis B. and Sarah (Hoffner) Weiss.
He had been a maintenance man at Consolidated Freight for five years, retiring in 1987. Prior to that, he had worked as a mason for John Reimel in Stroudsburg, for many years. Previously, he had worked for R. W. Altemose in Brodheadsville and the Kintz Candy Company in Stroudsburg. Prior to that, he had been a farmer.
He was an avid gardener and hunter. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Stroudsburg and the McMichaels Gun Club.
He had been a member of the former Brodheadsville Reformed Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons , Francis B. Weiss of Neola, James L. Weiss of Brodheadsville, Paul J. Weiss of McMichaels and Jeffrey S. Weiss of Kresgeville; a daughter, Mariclaire Hosking of Kunkletown; a sister, Irene Colvin of Lansdale; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters .
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday from the Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville, with the Rev. Harry Laubach officiating. Burial will be in Buena Vista Cemetery in Brodheadsville. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.

James E. Boyle Sr., 68, of RR 4, Saylorsburg, died Tuesday in his home.
He was the husband of Mildred (Manee) Boyle. They had observed their 49th wedding anniversary last December.
Born in New York City, he was a son of the late William J. and Mary (McAvoy) Boyle.
He had owned and operated J. B. & Son Oil Burner Service in Stanhope, N.J., for 25 years, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons , James E. Boyle Jr. of East Stroudsburg, Thomas J. Boyle of Brodheadsville, Patrick J. Boyle of Scranton and Michael R. Boyle of Saylorsburg; two daughters , Bernadette Serfass of Lehighton and Margaret Cramer of Long Valley, N.J.; 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday from the Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville, with the Rev. William McCawley officiating. Burial will be in the Buena Vista Cemetery in Brodheadsville. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 to 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home.

Harold H. Schwartz, 76, of Stroudsburg, died Wednesday morning in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Rowena E. (Hoffner) Schwartz.
Born on March 29, 1923, in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Charles and Hazel (Heeter) Schwartz and had lived and worked in the area his entire life. He worked at Hughes Printing until his retirement in 1971 after 25 years of service.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army from December, 1942, to 1946 and was part of the Harbor Craft Unit. He received the Good Conduct Medal, the World War II Victory Medal with one Bronze Star.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Stroudsburg having served on the Board of Deacons; a member of the Stroudsburg Fire Department Chemical Co. #1; the Monroe County Fire Police Association; the Phoenix Fireman's Relief Association; PA Fire Police Association; Four-County Firemen's Association; the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1106, Stroudsburg; the Thomas P. Lambert Post #2540 VFW, East Stroudsburg; and a member of the J. Simpson Africa Lodge #628 F & AM, Stroudsburg.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons , Jim Fritz of Ocean View, Del., David Schwartz of Saylorsburg, and Richard Schwartz of East Stroudsburg; three daughters , JoAnn Lim and Bonnie DeVivo, both of Stroudsburg, and Lisa Schwartz of Upper Black Eddy; ten grandchildren, Tink and Rob Lim, Tony and Andy DeVivo, Sue Irish and Michael Fritz, Jennifer and Amy Schwartz and Todd and Amanda Schwartz; six great grandchildren; two brothers , Ernie Schwartz of Cherry Valley and Keith Schwartz of East Stroudsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg, with Rev. George Taylor and Rev. Carol S. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg.
There will be a viewing on Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. with Stroudsburg Fire Department Services at 8 p.m. followed by the J. Simpson Africa Lodge Masonic Services.

Clarence Frederick "Fred" Rohrbacker, 90, of East Stroudsburg, died on Tuesday, June 1, at Stroud Manor in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of the late Jennie (Garris) Rohrbacker.
He was born on December 14, 1908, in Panther, Pa.
Prior to retirement, he owned and operated the Courtland Restaurant and Bar on North Courtland Street, East Stroudsburg, for 40 years. He was a current member of the Eagles Lodge #650 and the Moose Club Lodge #975, both in Lehighton. He was a resident of Monroe County all his lifetime.
He is survived by two sisters , Elvia Perry of Maitland, Fla., and Velma Slack of Frederica, Del.; one brother, Harold Rohrbacker of Newfoundland; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Schluher and three brothers , Homer, Theodore, and Stanley Rohrbacker.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, at 10:30 a.m. in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg, with the Reverend Raymond Poortstra officiating.
Interment will be in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Shoemakers. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Friday morning from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at Lanterman & Allen.

Thomas A. Schuler, 68, of Long Pond, died Tuesday, June 1, at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg.
He was the husband of Janet (Hanna) Schuler. They had been married 33 ½ years.
Born in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Radley and Florence Schuler.
He had been employed as a Fitter/Welder at Fuller Company in Catasauqua for 35 years retiring in 1988. Most recently, he had worked part time for Tunkhannock Twp. performing percolation tests.
He was of the Methodist Faith. He was an avid nature lover and enjoyed fishing and camping. He belonged to several local fishing clubs.
In addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by a son, Alan Schuler of Allentown; four daughters , Holly, wife of Donald Vanover, of Bristol, Tenn., Evelyn Les of Pier, Conn., Karen, wife of David Dries, of Kutztown, and Mary, wife of Gene Monroe, of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Curwood Schuler of Willingboro, N.J.; a sister, Evelyn Reichard of Venice, Fla.; and a step sister, Geraldine Hart of Epcondido, Ca. He is also survived by his mother -in-law, Grace Besly of Mt. Pocono; a sister-in-law, Betty Stout of Mt. Pocono; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 5, at the Donald N. Gower Funeral Home, Inc., Route 209, Gilbert, with the Rev. William Hausmann officiating. Interment will be in the Pocono Lake Cemetery, Pocono Lake.
A viewing will be held Friday, June 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Charles Sullivan, 64, of Shawnee-on-Delaware died Wednesday, June 9, in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.
Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of the late John J. and Hanorah (Hayes) Sullivan. He was a resident of the Shawnee area for the past 15 years and prior to that he lived in the Reading area for a few years and most of his life in the Elizabeth, N.J., area.
While in Elizabeth, N.J., he was employed at The Elizabeth De-Tox Center as a counselor for many years. He later worked at St. Joseph's Hospital — Nauman Center in Reading for some years. In 1984, he moved to the Shawnee area where he worked at the Marworth at Shawnee on Delaware for seven years and was presently a counselor with the Drug & Alcohol Services at Carbon, Monroe & Pike counties.
He was also co-founder of the Patt Talbot Retreat Movement Group #60. He was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church of Bushkill and was a Navy veteran.
He is survived by a daughter, Hanorah (Nora) Sullivan-Houndalas of Los Angeles, Calif., and a son, Charles Sullivan of Portland, Ore.; a brother, Father Dennis Sullivan of New York City, N.Y.; and a sister, Catherine Sullivan of the Bronx, N.Y. He was preceded in death by a brother, John P. Sullivan, who died in 1972.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 14, 9:30 a.m., at St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Bushkill with Charles' brother, Father Dennis Sullivan, as celebrant.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, June 13, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, 23 N. 9th Street, Stroudsburg.

Phyllis F. Dreisbach

Phyllis F. Dreisbach, 74, Marshalls Creek, died on Wednesday at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of Frank R. Dreisbach, at home. The couple was married for 52 years.
Born on November 4, 1924, in Lehighton, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha (Reich) Ashner. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Craigs Meadow.
She was a longtime dining room hostess at Mountain Manor in Marshalls Creek.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Patricia Romansky of East Stroudsburg; a son, W. Scott Dreisbach of Marshalls Creek; two brothers , Eugene Ashner and Dale Ashner, both of Bethlehem; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg.
There will be no viewing.

Robert E. Bonny, 71, of Rotonda West, Fla., died at home on Monday, May 31.
He was born and raised in Bloomington, Ill.
He served 20 years active duty as a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy. After which, he transferred to the U.S. Naval Fleet Reserve and settled in Tobyhanna.
While residing in Tobyhanna, he served as a supervisor of Coolbaugh Township and was an active member of Coolbaugh Township Volunteer Fire Company, the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, the VFW, and the Tobyhanna-Newfoundland International Lions Club. In addition, he was a past District Governor of the Pennsylvania Lions. After 20 years of employment with PNC Bank, he retired in 1989 and moved to Florida. While residing in Florida, he remained an active member of the Lions Club.
Robert leaves his wife of 50 years, Rita (O'Hara) Bonny who currently resides in their home in Rotonda West, Fla. He is also survived by his mother , Ruby George of Venice, Fla.; his three daughters , Theresa Storm of Tannersville, Lynn Kelly of Tobyhanna, and Patricia Gaige of South Gulf Cove, Fla. He leaves four grandchildren, Scott and Michael Storm of Tannersville and Megan and Sean Kelly of Tobyhanna. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Huss of Van Cover, Wash.; three brothers , Marvin Bonny of Melbourne, Fla., Charles Bonny of West Salem, Ill., and Duane Bonny of Pickens, S.C. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi in Englewood, Fla., on Saturday, June 19.

Philip "Phil" DiGenova, 42, of Bartonsville, died Saturday in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Lisa C. (Mitchell) DiGenova. They celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary on June 4.
Born in Shirley, Long Island, N.Y., he was the son of Rosaria (Raguso) DiGenova of Henryville and the late Dominick J. DiGenova, who died in 1991.
He was a resident of Bartonsville for the past 16 years and before that lived in Henryville for four years. In his earlier years, he resided in the Brooklyn, N.Y., area.
From 1985 to 1988 he owned and operated the MaMaMia Pizzeria on West Main Street in Stroudsburg. From 1988 to 1994 he was the manager of Sbarro The Italian Eatery in the Stroud Mall, Stroudsburg. Following this, he worked in security for Bear-Stearns Inc. of Whippany, N.J.
He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church of Tannersville and was an avid ham radio operator, having the call letters N3UNS.
In addition to his wife and mother , he is survived by two daughters , Amanda M. DiGenova and Selena M. DiGenova, and a son, Philip A. DiGenova, all at home; a brother, Santo DiGenova of Henryville; a sister, Marie DiGenova of Henryville; two nieces, a nephew and one great niece.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday from Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Henry E. Zapotocki as celebrant. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home.

Darl D. Learn, 52, of Sciota, died Sunday at Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home. He was the husband of Doris (Worrell) Learn.
Born in Brodheadsville, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Hilda (Snyder) Learn of Marshalls Creek. He worked for 32 years at McGraw Edison, now known as Cooper Industries in East Stroudsburg.
He was a 30-year member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union 01800. He was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard, 109 Mechanized Infantry, in East Stroudsburg. He was a former member of the Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder Company, and the Kunkletown Rod and Gun Club in Kunkletown.
In addition to his wife and mother , he is survived by one daughter, Candy Howiey of Sciota; one son Jeffrey Howiey of Wind Gap; three brothers , Dean Learn of Reeders, Floyd Learn of Stroudsburg and Harold Learn of Snydersville; three sisters , Nina Kinsey of Saylorsburg, Kathy Sheffield of Sidney, N.Y.; and Connie Foust of Sciota; one granddaughter, Amanda Howiey of Wind Gap; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home in East Stroudsburg. The Rev. Robert Shrom will officiate.
Interment will take place at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Hamilton Township. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
