Robert P. Counterman, 63, of East Stroudsburg, died on Wed., May 26, at his residence. He was the husband of Helen (Strunk) Counterman.
He was born in East Stroudsburg, the son of the late Elsie (Smith) and Charles W. Counterman. He was a lifetime resident of East Stroudsburg. He was a former member of the Cherry Lane United Methodist Church.
Before retiring in 1986, he worked at Shaw Plastics for 10 years. Prior to that, he worked for four years as the manager of Pocotron Landfill in Pocono Township. Previous to that, he worked as a galvanizer at McGraw Edison Line Material for 16 years.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a former member of the American Legion of East Stroudsburg and a former member of the VFW in Stroudsburg.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters , Tina Counterman of East Stroudsburg and Paula Counterman of Allentown; five brothers , Calvin Counterman of East Stroudsburg, Jack Counterman of East Stroudsburg, Samuel Counterman of Bartonsville, Arthur Counterman of Delaware, and Lester Counterman of East Stroudsburg; four sisters , Kathryn Knox of Stroudsburg, Lois Bush of East Stroudsburg, Carolyn Smith of Dearborn, Mich., and Mary Huffman of East Stroudsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Mon., May 31, in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg. The Reverend Thomas Richards will officiate. Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
Cremation will take place at the H.G. Crematory in Stroudsburg.

Burnett "B.E." Weber, 100, of East Stroudsburg, died on Tues., May 25 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Mabel (Turner) Weber.
He was born in Tobyhanna, the son of the late Anna (Shane) and John Weber. He was a resident of Monroe County his lifetime.
Prior to his retirement in 1974, he owned and operated B. Weber Garage and sold Studebaker and Diamond Reo cars from 1927 through 1974. He also owned and operated the You Do Car Wash in East Stroudsburg as well as owned and operated a wrecker business.
He was the oldest living member of the Acme Hose Fire Company in East Stroudsburg as well as Chief Engineer. He was also an avid gardener.
He is survived by a granddaughter, Linda G. Miller of East Stroudsburg; and a great grandson, William J. Miller Jr. of East Stroudsburg and his companion, Vaneto Van Horn of East Stroudsburg. He was preceded in death by a daughter, J. Bernice Avery.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sat., May 29, in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, with the Reverend Raymond Poortstra officiating.
Interment will be in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Fri., May 28, at the funeral home. East Stroudsburg Acme Hose Fire Company should meet in uniform at 7:15 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home for the memorial service, which takes place at 7:30 p.m.

June Crouse, 78, of East Stroudsburg, died on Friday, May 21, at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg.
Born on June 22, 1920, in Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late William and Ellen (LaBarre) Crouse.
She worked for many years as a secretary at Campbell's Soup Co. in Philadelphia. She also was the secretary for Karl Hope at Shawnee Inn for several years.
She is survived by a niece, two nephews, and two cousins.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Portland on Saturday, May 29, at 11 a.m., Frederick Lang officiating.
There will be no viewing.
The Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg is in charge of arrangements.

Eugenia W. "Gene" Kelly, 72, formerly of Stroudsburg, died on Monday at her home in Rustburg, Va. She was the wife of Walter J. Kelly, at home. The couple was married for 53 years.
Born on July 25, 1926 in Philadelphia , she was the daughter of the late Nathan E. and Maude B. (Truex) Swain. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lynchburg, Va.
She worked part-time for the Sheraton in Stroudsburg for nine years, as the dining room cashier/hostess.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five sons , James Kelly of Yardley, Stephen Kelly of Scotrun, Michael Kelly of Lynchburg, Va., Mark Kelly of Bartonsville, and John Kelly of Roseto; one sister, Ann Wells of Philadelphia; 12 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 31, from the Our Lady of Victory Church in Tannersville, with Rev. Father Henry E. Zapotocki as celebrant.
There will be a viewing from 9 to 10:15 a.m. on Monday, from the Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg.
A Committal Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, in the Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg.

JoAnne Meduri, 46, of Commack, N.Y. died Fri. May 28, at North Shore University Hospital, Plainview, N.Y.
Born on December 19, 1952 in Queens, N.Y., she was the daughter of Joseph Meduri of Bushkill and Mary McQueen of New Freedom. She had lived in New York for the past forty years.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her step-mother , Theda Meduri of Bushkill; a brother, John J. Meduri of New Freedom; a sister, Lori-Jo Vanderburg of East Berlin; three step-brothers , Adam B. Vichinsky of East Stroudsburg, Jason H. Vichinsky of Michigan, and Julius Allen Vichinsky of Washington ; an uncle, Dominick Meduri of Bushkill; and an aunt, Lina Jacques of Center Moriches, Long Island, N.Y.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tues., June 1, at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Marshalls Creek, with Monsignor Kevin P. O'Neill as celebrant. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Middle Smithfield Township.
There will be viewing hours from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mon., May 31 at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg.

Karl C. Lange, 17, of Brodheadsville, died Thursday at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born in Redlands, California, he was a son of Otto and Patricia (Christie) Lange of Brodheadsville.
He was a 10th-grade student at Pleasant Valley High School and was a member of the school's computer club and the National Junior Honor Society.
He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Brodheadsville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister and brother, Christie and Brett Lange, both at home; maternal grandparents, Patricia and Christopher Christie of Mount Arlington, N.J.; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Lange of Brodheadsville; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Mon., May 31, from Zion United Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville, with the Rev. William Zimmerman officiating. A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sun., May 30, from the Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville and from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, from the church.

Hannah B. Post, 81, of Stroudsburg, died on Saturday at Davis Manor in Mountaintop. She was the wife of William H. Post Jr. at home.
Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lillian (Rhederch) Brace.
She owned and operated a beauty salon in Shavertown for several years before moving to Stroudsburg. She then worked for Connaught Laboratories for 17 years before retiring in 1978.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Mount Pocono Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, although she was the organist for the Mount Pocono United Methodist Church and also taught Sunday school there.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters , Lillian Ask of Laurys Station and Nancy Kaufhold of Lititz; a son, William H. Post III of Beach Haven Gardens, N.J.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, from the Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N. Fifth St., Stroudsburg, with the Rev. George S. Rigby officiating.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.

Doris M. Klingelstein, 72, of Stroudsburg, died Saturday evening in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.
Born on March 25, 1927, in Englewood, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Herman F. Sr. and Caroline (Tice) Klingelstein and had lived in Stroudsburg for the past 10 years.
In her earlier life, she had resided in Englewood and then later in Franklin Township, N.J. She had retired as a supervisor for AT&T in Piscataway, N.J., and in New York City, N.Y., after 37 years of service.
She had been a volunteer at St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J., and secretary at the Senior Citizen Center in Franklin Township, N.J.
She is survived by a brother, Herman "Bud" Klingelstein Jr. of Englewood; two sisters , Marie Barth of Closter, N.J., and Alice Mackinnon of Barrington, R.I.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Blanche Bruno.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Brookside Cemetery, Englewood.
A visitation will be on Tuesday, June 1, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., at the William H. Clark Funeral Home.
