MATTHEW JASEK
Matthew Jasek, of West Mifflin, died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, at his home. He was born Feb. 11, 1906, in Duquesne, a son of the late Joseph and Maria Zahradnik Jasek. He is survived by his wife, Agnes Papan Jasek; two daughters , Justina Kopay of Upper St. Clair and Virginia Jasek of West Mifflin; also three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a retired employee of the U.S. Steel, Duquesne Works, General Maintenance Department. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin, and the Osadny Lodge. Friends will be received at the WILLIAM S. SKOVRANKO MEMORIAL HOME, Richford and Commonwealth avenues, Duquesne, Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Blessing services at the memorial home Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church with the Rev. Edward Bunchek as celebrant. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

WILLIAM A. MALCOMSON JR.
William A. Malcomson Jr., 87, of East McKeesport, went home with the Lord Monday, March 27, 2000. He was born April 19, 1912, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late William A. Sr. and Bessie Marshall Malcomson. He was a retired employee of the Edwin L. Wiegand Co., Wilkinsburg; a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army; a member of the Monroeville Assembly of God; a volunteer for 17 years at CTV Channel 40, Wall; a member of the 700 Club; and a member for 15 years of the Park Terrace V.F.D. Survived by his wife, Margaret N. McKlveen Malcomson; two sons , William C. Malcomson of Fremont, Calif., and Kenneth L. Malcomson of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Avis E. Wallenbeck of Rochester, N.Y.; and five grandchildren. Friends were received at the FORGIE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Monroeville Assembly of God with Pastor Lance Lecocq officiating. Please meet at the church for services. Private interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Ligonier.

THOMAS H. MALLOY
Thomas H. Malloy, 82, of Bethel Park, peacefully at home Tuesday, March 28, 2000. Beloved husband for 56 years of Alice M. (Huggins); Father of Mary Anne Kelton of Bethel Park, Michael T. and his wife, Patricia D., of Bethel Park and Margaret A. of Meadville. Brother of Marie Cicci of Finleyville, Charles Donald Malloy of Media, Therese Morris of Monongahela and the late Francis. Grandfather of Thomas and Caroline Kelton, Brian, Timothy and Kathryn Malloy. Mr. Malloy retired as a traffic manager from Weirton Steel in 1979, after 25 years of service. Tom was an active member of St. Valentine Church, where he served on many committees. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, spending time with his grandchildren, and was affectionately known as "The mayor of Smith Drive." Visitation 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the DAVID J. MICHAEL A. MASSARI
Michael A. Massari, 88, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Jan. 28, 1912, in Armbrust, Pa., a son of the late Francesco and Maria Libra Zappone Massari. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Greensburg. He was retired from the Walworth Valve Co. in South Greensburg. Also he was a member of the L.O.O.M. #1151 and Hilltop Club, both of Greensburg, the Roosevelt Club of Hempfield Township, a social member of the AMVETS in Greensburg, and a life member of the Eagles, formerly in Greensburg. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve V. Testa Massari, in 1998; a son, Robert L. Massari; a grandson, Charles A. Pegg II; stepfather, Libro Testa; two brothers , Bert and John Massari; and a sister, Mary Hopkins. Survived by two sons , Michael and his wife, Mary Theresa "Terri" Massari, of Mt. Pleasant and Ronald Massari of Greensburg; two daughters , Mary Ellen Cherubini of South Greensburg and Patricia Smith of Greensburg; nine grandchildren, Leann Myers, Jackie Greece, Luann Eckels, James Cherubini, Renee Gumbita, Michael Pegg, Michael Massari, Melissa Massari, and Jenna Massari; four great-grandchildren, Jamie, Tony, and Nicholas Greece, and Vincent Cherubini; a brother, Patsy and his wife, Eleanor Testa, of Greensburg; four sisters , Ann Mullen of California, Lucy and her husband, Michael Nalevanko, of Southwest Greensburg, Angeline Croushore of Erie, and Jean Ramsey of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church, Greensburg. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Hempfield Township.

RICHARD A. McCUNE
Richard A. McCune, 78, of Latrobe, formerly of McKeesport, Ligonier and Greensburg, died Monday, March 27, 2000. He was born Dec. 28, 1921, in McKeesport, a son of the late Arthur and Louisa Carothers McCune. Prior to his retirement, he was the vice president of the Potter-McCune Co. in McKeesport. He was a 1941 graduate of Kiskiminetas Springs School, now Kiski School, in Saltsburg. He attended the University of Virginia. Dick was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Maplewood United Presbyterian Church of Greensburg, Youghiogheny Lodge No. 583 F&AM, the A.A.S.R. Valley of Pittsburgh, Syria Temple A.A.O.N.M.S., the B.P.O.E. of Latrobe and the American Legion Post 701 in White Oak. He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Wampler McCune; two sons , Richard A. McCune II and his wife, Ren, of Meadville and William A. McCune and his wife, Margaret, of Jeannette; and three grandchildren, Richard A. McCune III of Meadville and Alexis and Bridgett McCune, both of Jeannette. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Maplewood United Presbyterian Church, Greensburg, with the Rev. Stephen LaSor officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Should friends desire, memorials may be placed with either the Kiski School, 1888 Brett Lane, Saltsburg, PA 15681, or with the Maplewood United Presbyterian Church, 108 Woodland Road, Greensburg, PA 15601. GRACE F. MILLER
Grace F. Miller, 83, of Latrobe, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Dec. 22, 1916, in Cooperstown, Pa., a daughter of the late Francis B. and Bertha A. Hill Brant. She was a member of the First Church of God, Latrobe, and was retired from Latrobe Area Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William J. Miller, on Oct. 1, 1990; a son, William J. Miller Jr.; a daughter, Patricia Jean Miller; and a brother, Charles G. Brant. She is survived by a son, Barry L. Miller and his wife, Paula, of Latrobe; three sisters , Thelma Jean Lohr of Manns Choice, Pa., Betty Bridge of Latrobe, and Kathleen L. McIlnay of Latrobe; a sister-in-law, Gloria Brant of McChesneytown; also survived by a granddaughter, Sara Jean; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the First Church of God with the Rev. Mark Yarger officiating. Interment Lycippus Cemetery, Unity Township.

MELVIN D. MINNICK
Melvin D. Minnick, 70, of Uniontown, died suddenly Wednesday, March 29, 2000, in Hopwood. He was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Uniontown, a son of the late Eugene W. and Laura Belle (Clark) Minnick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Minnick. Melvin was a self-employed auto mechanic and auto salesman. An avid race care driver for 28 years, he was inducted into the Pittsburgh Circle Track Club Hall of Fame in 1995. He attended Cove Run Free Methodist Church in Lemont Furnace, was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II, was a member of the Pittsburgh Circle Track Club Hall of Fame, the Pittsburgh Circle Track Club, American Legion Post 51 and AMVETS Post 103. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Bickerton) Minnick, whom he married Dec. 23, 1969; five children, Sheila Groves and husband, Robert, of Hopwood, Sheree Minnick and fiance, Nick Stone, of Columbia, S.C., Shelly Minnick and fiance, Junior, of Uniontown, Melvin D. Minnick Jr. and wife, Pam, of Uniontown, and Paul Craft of Smock; grandchildren, Jamie, Jason, Donald, Lacy, Melvin III, Matthew, Lee, Jonathan, Shannon; six great-grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters : Eugene Minnick Jr. and wife, Betty, of Brook Park, Ohio, Dolores Nicklow of Uniontown, Patricia Thomas and husband, Paul, of Hopwood, Robert Minnick and wife, Lois, of Lemont Furnace, Gary Minnick and wife, Diane, of Ohiopyle, and Ronald Minnick and wife, Lois, of Uniontown. He is also survived by many special nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., 139 W. Fayette St., Uniontown, Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 1, until 10 a.m., the hour of service with Pastor Roger L. Yeager officiating. Entombment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 51 and VFW Post 8543.

LEONARD W. OSTERMAN
Leonard W. "Ozzie" Osterman, 76, of Port Vue, died Tuesday, March 28, 2000. Husband of Margaret Valoon Osterman. Son of the late Henry L. and Bertha Mansfield Osterman. Father of Carol Andrews of North Huntingdon, Jack Osterman of North Huntingdon, Robert Osterman of Port Vue and James Osterman of Woodward, Pa. Brother of Ruth brothers of Elizabeth Township. Nine grandchildren. He was a member of the Port Vue United Methodist Church and the Port Vue Old Timers, a member and past treasurer of Port Vue Seniors, a member of AARP, the American Legion Post 701, the Port Vue Fantastics Singing Group and a retired member of Local 249 of Teamsters Union. Friends received at HUNTER-EDMUNDSON-STRIFFLER, 600 Market St., McKeesport, Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service Friday at 10 a.m. at the Port Vue United Methodist Church. Entombment at Lebanon Church Mausoleum.

MARY E. PALMER
Mary E. Palmer, 88, of Natrona Heights Highrise (formerly of Harmar Township), died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, in Harmar Village, Harmar Township. She was born Sept. 1, 1911, in Luke, Md., to the late Henry Joseph and Agnes Mae Handley Warnick. She had lived in Natrona Heights Highrise for 20 years and previously in Harmar Heights section of Harmar Township. Survivors are four sons , Archie Palmer of Harmar Township, Michael Palmer of Creighton, William Palmer of New Kensington, and Bruce Palmer of Springdale; six daughters , Mrs. James (Mary Agnes) Linn of Springdale Township, Marlene Rohay of Harmar Township, Mrs. John (Wanda) Zourelias of Fawn Township, Mrs. Joseph (Audrey) Phillips of New Alexandria, Linda Abretske of Springdale Township, and Mrs. Joseph (Rita) Haas of Derry; 27 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Archie Palmer, in 1948; and two brothers , Francis and Joseph Warnick. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Friday in Springdale at the CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St., where services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Bonnie Bowser officiating with burial to follow in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.

STEVE ANTHONY PATRILLA
Steve Anthony Patrilla, 81, of Tarrs RD3, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 27, 1919, in Trauger, a son of the late Frank and Mary Pelar Patrilla. Mr. Patrilla was a custodian for Southmoreland School District for many years. Steve was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church of Mt. Pleasant and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army, Co. E, 110th Infantry, 28th Division. He was a founding member of the East Huntingdon Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of the Firemen's Association of the State of Pa., Western Pa. Firemen's Association, the Mohawk Association of Western Pa., and the Westmoreland County Firemen's Association. Mr. Patrilla was also a member of the American Legion Post 446 and VFW Post 3368, both of Mt. Pleasant. He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Phyllis L. Demagala Patrilla; his children, Sandy Furlo and her husband, Paul, of Greensburg, Mary Sue Callaghan and her husband, Dale, of New Stanton, Janine Shutty and her husband, Joseph, of Mt. Pleasant, and Louise Garrison and her husband, Dan, of Nice, Calif.; six grandchildren, Christopher Furlo, Carey Furlo, Mary Furlo, Lorna Fitch, Denise Bastian and Rhonda Young; four great-grandchildren, Nikole, Crysten, Adriann and Tara; and a ®MDNM¯great-great-granddaughter, Haley. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by two brothers , Andrew and Frank Patrilla; and two sisters , Veronica Chain and Mary Kubasky. Interment in St. Pius X Parish Cemetery with full military rites accorded by the American Legion Post 446 and the VFW Post 3368, both of Mt. Pleasant. Western Pa. Mohawks will conduct services in the funeral home Friday at 7 p.m. and East Huntingdon Volunteer Fire Department will conduct services in the funeral home Friday at 7:30 p.m.

DIANE PIERCE
Diane Pierce, 46, of Irwin, died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, in Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh. She was born Feb. 24, 1954, in Bloomington, Ill., a daughter of Ruth (Farone) Fennekohl of Houston, Texas . In addition to her mother , she is survived by two sons , Seon Pierce of Monroeville and Joshua Pierce of Irwin; three daughters , Danielle (Pierce) Terrell of New York, and Shannon Pierce and Chelsea Pierce, both of Irwin; a brother, James Hannah of Houston, Texas ; a sister, Patty Johnston of St. Thomas, V.I.; and three grandchildren, Bryce Pierce, Kayla Barberena Pierce and Randy Terrell. Friends will be received at the VINCENT V. RODGERS FUNERAL HOME, 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, Thursday from 6 p.m. until the time of service at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Bruce Maxwell officiating.

NICHOLAS SAMERY
Nicholas Samery, 68, of North Huntingdon, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, in Jeannette. He was born Feb. 8, 1932, in Penn Shaft, a son of the late Nicholas Samery and Lucy Sowash Samery Kramer. Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a moulder by the Lenhart Works of Westinghouse Electric. He was a Korean War veteran, having served in the U.S. Army, and a member of VFW Post 781 in North Huntingdon. Surviving are his wife, Rhoda Sarsfield Samery; and three sisters , Margaret Cogar of North Huntingdon, Martha Petrill of Jeannette and Mary Ann Yakubisin of Trafford. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the VINCENT V. RODGERS FUNERAL HOME, 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin. Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Joseph M. Kim officiating. Interment in Irwin Union Cemetery.

MARJORY LOY SCHLOSSER
Marjory Loy Schlosser, 82, of Zephyrhills, Fla., died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at the East Pasco Medical Center in Zephyrhills, Fla. She was born Dec. 4, 1917, in Williamsburg, Pa., a daughter of the late Fred H. and Ruth M. Chamberlain Estep. She was a member of New River Methodist Church in Zephyrhills and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was retired from the Zayre Corp. in Tampa, Fla. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Schlosser, in 1967; a son-in-law, James R. Dell; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Estep. She is survived by her son, Michael W. Schlosser of Greensburg; a daughter, Ruth M. Dell of Clearwater, Fla.; two grandchildren, Deborah and her husband, William Marshall, and James M. Dell; and two great-grandchildren, Leah and Zachary Marshall, all of Clearwater, Fla.; a brother, Fred W. Estep of Tampa, Fla.; and a sister, A.L. "Peg" Hofmann of Zephyrhills, Fla. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. ANN BRYAN VISLOSKY TURCHECK
Ann Bryan Vislosky Turcheck, 85, of Tennis Court Road, Fredericktown, Pa., died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, at 5 p.m. in the emergency room of Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born April 5, 1914, at Hibbs, Pa., a daughter of the late Ludvik and Pepa Susanj Bryan. She was a member of the Parish of St. Oliver Plunkett. Survived by three sons , Michael B. and his wife, Pat Vislosky, of North Royalton, Ohio, Thomas C. and his wife, Carol Vislosky, of Dunwoody, Ga., and Robert E. and his wife, Adelaide Vislosky, of Greensburg; a brother, Leroy Bryan of East Millsboro, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandsons. Preceded in death by her first husband, Mike Vislosky, who died Feb. 1, 1980; her second husband, Floyd E. Turcheck, who died Nov. 27, 1997; two brothers , Ludvik Bryan and Charles Bryan; and four sisters , Mildred Bryan, Dorothy Dulla, Judy DeCarlo, and Josephine Siko. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 31, in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, Fredericktown Hill, Fredericktown, Pa., where a blessing service will be held Saturday, April 1, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Parish of St. Oliver Plunkett, St. Michael's Archangel Church, Fredericktown, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Anne E. "Betty" Wise, 79, of Rankin, died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, at the Heartland Health Care Center, Pittsburgh. Born Aug. 6, 1920, in Braddock, a daughter of the late Otto and Helen Biehl. Member of Good Shepherd Church, Braddock. Wife of the late Michael A. Wise Sr. Surviving are two sons , Michael A. Wise Jr. of Rankin and Thomas P. Wise and his wife, Sally, of Shadyside; a grandson, Andrew T. Wise; three sisters , Helen L. Husar of Monroeville, Doris M. Horvat of Munhall, and Christina Bolter of North Braddock. Visitation Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the THEODORE J. SCHLEIFER JR. FUNERAL HOME, corner of Second Street and Comrie Avenue, Braddock. EDNA M. (MILLER) ALEANDRI
Edna M. (Miller) Aleandri, 70, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, in the Greensburg Nursing and Convalescent Center, Hempfield Township. She was born Jan. 19, 1930, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Earl and Gertrude Jackson Miller. She was a member of the Church of St. Paul, Greensburg. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael A. Aleandri Sr., in 1996; a brother, Earl Miller Jr.; and a sister, Dolle Lane. Survived by two sons , Michael A. Jr. and his wife, Nancy P. Aleandri, of Greensburg and Timothy E. Aleandri of Havelock, N.C.; three daughters , Victoria C. Aleandri of Hartford, Conn., Michele R. and her husband, Michael Conforti, of Monroeville, and Toni M. and her husband, Mark Winter, of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Kristin Burke, Michael Richard Aleandri, Elizabeth Conforti, Anthony Conforti, Matthew Winter and Nicholas Winter; a great-granddaughter, Lauren Bayura; a brother, Larry Miller of Greensburg; and three sisters , Helen and her husband, George "Poe" Leone, of Latrobe, Joyce and her husband, Kenneth "Popeye" Burke, of Derry, and Martha and her husband, Fred Taylor, of Oklahoma ; and several nieces and nephews.
