James David Joyce

James David Joyce, 58, of Brodheadsville, died Sunday in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.
He was the husband of Judith (Svensson) Joyce. They had observed their 12th wedding anniversary in September.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Joseph and Lillian (James) Joyce.
He had been a store clerk at Keller's Quick Stop in Sciota for the past three years. Prior to that, he had worked in Brokerage Operations Management on Wall Street for 25 years, retiring in 1987.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He was a Vietnam War Army veteran.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four brothers , Robert, Michael, John and Martin Joyce, all of N.Y.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday from the Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, N.Y., with interment to follow. There will be no viewing.

James Brimer, 85, of East Stroudsburg, died Tuesday, March 2, in his home.
Born in Scotland, he was the son of the late James Sr. and Janet (Moodie) Brimer. He was a resident of Monroe County for most of his life.
He was employed by PennDot of Monroe County for six years until 1981. Prior to that, he was employed as a pressman by Hughes Printing Company of East Stroudsburg for 46 years until he retired in 1975.
He was a U.S. Naval Veteran of World War II. He was a life member of both the V.F.W. Post 2540 in Stroud Twp. and of the George M. Kemp Post 346 in East Stroudsburg.
He was a member of the East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Stroudsburg, and of the CLU Club in East Stroudsburg.
He is survived by a daughter, Gail A. Barbour of Oxford, Mass.; three sons , James B. Brimer of Rockland, Maine, Richard B. Brimer of Madison, Ohio, and Robert M. Brimer of Onalaska, Wis.; a sister, Joan Cramer of Stroudsburg; 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 5, at 1:30 p.m. in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, with the Reverend Raymond Poortstra officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service in the funeral home.

Marshall John DeSchriver, 92, of Fairhope, Ala., and formerly of East Stroudsburg, died Tuesday, March 2, in the Eastern Shore Health Care Center in Fairhope. He was the widower of Della (Houvenagle) DeSchriver who died in 1979.
Born on June 3, 1906, in Gladstone, Mich., he was the son of the late Alfonse and Romanie (Vermeersch) DeSchriver and had lived in Illinois for many years, then in East Stroudsburg from 1976 until 1993 when he moved to Fairhope, Ala.
He had worked as an automotive mechanic for Reynolds Motors in East Moline, Ill.
Surviving are a son, Richard L. DeSchriver of Fairhope, Ala.; a sister, Christine Meirhaeghe of Amery, Wis.; two grandsons, Thomas John DeSchriver of Stroudsburg and Timothy David DeSchriver of Sunderland, Mass.; two granddaughters, Mary Margaret Mason of Silver Spring, Md., and Gypsy Marie Denzine of Flagstaff, Ariz.; and two great grandchildren, Adam DeSchriver and Noelle Mason.
Services will be held in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg, at a date to be announced.

Mary Jane Reinhardt, 52, of Stroudsburg, died Wednesday, March 3, at Pocono Medical Center.
Born in Boonton, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Dorothy (Crouse) Hink. She was a resident of Monroe County for the past 20 years.
She was employed as an office manager at Mr. Z's in Marshalls Creek for the past five years.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph A. Reinhardt; a son, Robert J. Reinhardt of East Stroudsburg; a daughter, Renee Reinhardt of Stroudsburg; a sister, Barbara Ann Lamm of Kissime, Fla.; a brother, David J. Hink of Hiram, Maine; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, James Reinhardt.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 6, at 1:30 p.m. in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg, with the Reverend Raymond Poortstra officiating.
Cremation will take place at the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, March 6, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the Monroe County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, 196 Washington St., Stroudsburg.

Ethel K. Bone, 93, formerly of Wilson Borough, died Monday, March 1, in County of Northampton-Gracedale, where she had been a guest since 1995.
She retired in 1967 from the former Schaible's Bakery, now Maier's Bakery, Palmer Township, where she worked for over 15 years.
Born March 8, 1905, in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Abram and Mary VanEmburg Favire. Her husband, Theodore R. Bone, died in 1937.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilson Borough.
Surviving are three sons , Charles E. of Saylorsburg, Frederick W. of Bethlehem Township, and Russell E. of Solebury; a sister, Ida K. Schenawolf of Wilson Borough; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Theodore Jr.; a brother, George Favire and four sisters , Edna Reinhart, Ada Engle, Margaret Lattig, and Marie Eldridge.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township.
Family and friends may call Friday, 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.

Stephen Carmen Bennardo, 78, of Stroudsburg, died Wednesday at home.
He was born in Scranton on January 4, 1921, the son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Greco) Bennardo. He was married to Loretta (Bilotta) Bennardo on June 28, 1947, in Carbondale.
He served in the Army as a lieutenant during W. W. II.
Mr. Bennardo worked as a steamfitter and was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union #777 in Wallinford, Conn.
He was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church in East Stroudsburg, where he served as a eucharistic minister.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons , Richard J. Bennardo of Williamsport, Stephen C. Bennardo Jr. of Norwich, Conn., and Michael C. Bennardo of New York City; one brother, Joseph Bennardo of Mundelein, Ill.; one sister, Carmella O'Malley of Gales Ferry, Conn., six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, East Stroudsburg.
Entombment will be in mother of Sorrows Cemetery Mausoleum, Carbondale.
A calling hour will be held at the church on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.

Irene P. Nakielny, 72, of Monmouth Beach died Tuesday, March 2, at her residence.
She was born in Avoca and lived in the Poconos, Wanamassa, N.J., and Monmouth Beach for the last two years.
She was predeceased by her husband Theodore in 1974.
Surviving is her son, Theodore J. Nakielny of Newfoundland; two daughters , Janice Pittman, with whom she lived, and Patricia Mascaritola of Howell, N.J.; a brother, Theodore Mickalasavage of Bayville, N.J.; a sister, Elizabeth Eaton of Bloomfield, N.J.; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, N.J.
Committal service and interment will be on Friday, March 5, 11:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, Pa.

Willi Uhrig, 79, of East Stroudsburg, died on Wednesday, March 3, at the Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Domenica "Dee" R. Uhrig, at home. They had celebrated 54 years of marriage.
He was born in Mannheim, Germany, a son of the late Suzanne (Uhrig) Tippelmann. He had been a resident of Monroe County for the past 25 years and prior to that of Rego Park, N.Y.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served with the SeaBees during World War II.
He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Marshalls Creek.
Prior to his retirement in 1978, he was employed by E.D.O. Corporation of Long Island, N.Y., as a supervisor for sonar manufacturing for the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 319 of East Stroudsburg.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, William A., husband of Sandra Uhrig of East Stroudsburg; two grandchildren, Jennifer Dee Uhrig of State College and William W. Uhrig of East Stroudsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 8, at 10 a.m. in St. John's Catholic Church, 5171 Milford Road, East Stroudsburg with Msgr. Kevin O'Neill as the celebrant.
Interment will be in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg.
