Jane A. Brown, 93, died on February 6, 1999 in Guilford, Maine.
She was born on May 22, 1906 in Dunmore, PA.
She resided for many years in of East Stroudsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Brown of East Stroudsburg and a daughter, Elizabeth Worthington of St. Petersburg, Fla.
She is survived by a son, Frank W. Brown of Sciota; a son, Jack S. Brown and a daughter-in-law, Sue Brown of Guilford, Maine; and by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Private services were held in Guilford, Maine.

Florence Goins, 62, of Tobyhanna, died Saturday, February 6, at Mercy Hospital in Scranton. She was the wife of Clarence Goins, at home.
Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Florence was raised by her grandparents, Elijan and Sarah Gadsden. She attended Central Commercial High School. She was a resident of Queens Village for 14 years, before moving to the Poconos.
She was employed as a purchasing clerk for New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation for 25 years. Her husband, Clarence is employed as a school bus driver for Pocono Mountain School District.
Florence was loved and admired by everyone whose life she touched. She loved to travel, cook, knit, watch old movies, was an avid reader, and the "glue" that held her family together.
She is survived by a son, Eric Benjamin Gadsden of Tobyhanna; a daughter, Linda King of Mount Pocono; two brothers , Malcolm Morris of Covina, Calif., and Ernest Morris of Palmdale, Calif.; a sister, Lucy Goins of Bronx, N.Y.; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Anthony Gadsden, who died in 1993.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 13, at 11 a.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, Corner of Routes 940 and 390, Paradise Valley. Interment will follow at Stroudsburg Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles R. Hermann

Charles R. Hermann, 44, of Indian Mountain Lakes, Albrightsville, and formerly of Summerdale and Piscattaway, N.J., died Monday in his home.
He was the husband of Mary Beth (Holdsworth) Hermann. They had observed their 11th wedding anniversary in December.
Born in Camden, N.J., he was a son of the late Conrad and Hazel (Cannan) Hermann.
He had been a truck driver for Eletto Transfer in Edison, N.J., for 13 years before retiring in 1996.
He was also a volunteer firefighter in Summerdale, N.J. He had lived in Summerdale and Piscattaway, N.J., before moving to Pennsylvania in 1989.
He was a member of Zion United Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons , Sean and Charles Hermann, both at home; a daughter, Christen Hermann of Cherry Hill, N.J.; three brothers : Conni Hermann of St. Petersburg, Fla.; George Hermann of Tallahassee, Fla.; and Michael Hermann of Plant City, Fla.; a sister, Patty Stott of Williamstown, N.J.; and his Father -in-law, William Holdsworth of Lake Ariel. He was preceded in death by a son, James W. Hermann.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday from Zion United Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville, with the Rev. William Zimmermann officiating. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. from the Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville.

Harold A. Bentzoni

Harold A. Bentzoni, 66, of Stroudsburg, died Friday, February 5, 1999, in Naples Community Hospital, Naples, Fla. He was the husband of Laurean F. (Flagler) Bentzoni to whom he had been married for forty years.
Born on April 6, 1932, in Stroudsburg, he was the son of Hilda M. (Sandt) Bentzoni of Stroudsburg and the late Alva O. Bentzoni and had lived in the area all of his life. He had worked in electronics as a draftsman for Western Electric, now Lucent, for thirty years retiring in 1994.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the Construction Battalion "Seabees" in Cuba and also was active in the SAC (Strategic Air Command). A 1951 graduate of Stroudsburg High School, where he was co-captain of the football team.
He was a member of the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church; the Phoenix Fire Company #2; Stroudsburg Fire Department; the Varsity "S" Club of Stroudsburg, where he helped coordinate the youth football program, later the 7th and 8th grade football program acting as a coach and then as commissioner.
He served 16 years on the Stroudsburg Borough Council serving as President and currently as Vice President. He was a member of the Monroe County Control Center Board; the Pocono Mountains Council of Government (COG); the Twin Boro Recycling Board; the Stroudsburg Police Commission; President of MECAB, Mid Eastern County Association of Boroughs, serving the five counties; the Cap and Gown of the PA State Association of Boroughs; and the Pocono Mountain Jaycees, where he earned the honor of becoming a Jaycee International Senator. He was also a member of the B.P.O. Elks #319, East Stroudsburg; the Loyal Order of Moose #1336, East Stroudsburg; the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1106, Stroudsburg; the George N. Kemp Post #346, American Legion, East Stroudsburg; and the H. W. Haas, Jr. Post #58, Society of the 28th Division.
He loved the outside and was an avid gardener and was a NASCAR and Football enthusiast.
In addition to his wife and mother , he is survived by two sons , Harold A. "BJ" Bentzoni Jr., husband of Wendy (Brink) Bentzoni of Saylorsburg, and Kyle Flagler Bentzoni, husband of Kelly (Bahling) Bentzoni of Stroud Township; two granddaughters, Shelby and Elena Bentzoni; one grandson, Andrew Bentzoni; two brothers , Robert Bentzoni of East Stroudsburg and Donald Bentzoni of Daytona, Fla.; a sister, Beatrice Lucrezi of Stroud Township; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 8 p.m. in the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, 547 Main Street, with the Rev. George S. Rigby Jr. officiating. Stroudsburg Fire Company will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the church. Private burial will be in the Stroudsburg Cemetery.
There will be a viewing on Friday from 6 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Mario L. Miglio, 76, of East Stroudsburg, died Tuesday, at Pocono Medical Center, in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Elfriede (Woock) Miglio, at home. They would have celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary February 16.
Born November 27, 1922 in Richmond, Va., he was the son of the late Dominick and Mary (Stabile) Miglio.
He was the Plant Manager at Portland Novelty, Portland, Pa., for 40 years, retiring in 1984. From 1985 to 1998, he was a Security Officer at the Monroe County Court House.
He was a member of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg.
He was an Army veteran, having served during World War II, and Past Commander of American Legion Post 418 in Hainesburg, N.J.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a niece, Cynthia Sutter of Delafield, Wis.; grand niece and nephews, Benjamin, Taylor and Jordin Sutter; a nephew, Gregory Impeciati of Key West, Fla.; two cousins, Teresa Ruggiero of Roseto and Clara DeGuiseppi of Easton; and long time friends, Geri Mucaluso of Brodheadsville and Joseph Islin.
Graveside Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, at Northampton Memorial Shrine Cemetery in Easton.

Robert Mitchell Findlay, 89, late of Dingmans Ferry, died on Friday, February 5 at Stroud Manor Nursing Home, East Stroudsburg. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd and St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church of Milford. He was a retired custodian for the Milford Elementary School and a self-employed farmer.
Mr. Findlay was born in Milford on May 24, 1909 to Robert Watson and Pauline Winifred (Bournique) Findlay. He was married to Frances (Downs) Findlay.
Survivors include his wife at home, one son, Donald Downs Findlay of Succasunna, NJ; two daughters , Nancy Lou O'Brien and Roberta Ann Cron, both of Dingman's Ferry; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 13 at 11:30 a.m. at the Dingman's Ferry United Methodist Church, Myck Road, Dingman's Ferry. Rev. Gwendolyn L. Smith will officiate.
Mr. Findlay's family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 13.
Interment will take place in Delaware Cemetery, Dingman's Ferry at the convenience of the family.

Larry R. Hoffner, 54, of Saylorsburg, passed away at his home Monday, February 8, 1999.
Born in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of Eva M. (Mackes) Hoffner of East Stroudsburg and the late Robert J. Hoffner. He was a life long resident of Monroe County.
He was employed as a carpenter by various contractors throughout Monroe County for the past 40 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening, woodworking and raising animals.
In addition to his mother , he is survived by two daughters , Lisa Green of Kunkletown and Beverly Green of Lehighton; two sisters , Diane M. George of East Stroudsburg and Carol Serfass of Stroudsburg; a brother, Walter Hoffner of East Stroudsburg; and five grandsons and many nieces and newphews. He preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Powell.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 13, at 1:30 p.m. in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg.
