Margaret Morse, 90, of Indian Mt. Lakes, Albrightsville, died Wednesday in the Bear Creek Health Care Center.
She was the wife of the late Harold J. Morse.
Born in Newfoundland, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Julia (Hunt) King.
She had been a book binder for McGibbons in Queens, N.Y., for 20 years, retiring in 1974.
She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert.
She is survived by a son, Harold J. Morse of Albrightsville, and by three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday from Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. William McCawley as celebrant. Burial will be in Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn, N.Y. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. from the Kresge Funeral Home, .

Ivan Burchell
November 18, 1998
Ivan Burchell, age 4, of South Caanan, Wayne County, died Wednesday morning at his home. Born in Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, he was a son of Lorraine Matern and Michael Burchell of South Caanan.
Ivan enjoyed animals and especially his dogs and cats.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Henry Matern, at home; maternal grandparents, Mickey and Bill Matern of Greentown; paternal grandparents, Charles and Ruby Burchell of Newfoundland; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 21 in the Arthur J. Frey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Allen, pastor of Hemlock Grove United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, South Sterling. Friends may call Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mark Weisgold

Mark Weisgold, 78, died November 1, 1998 at his home in Benton. He was the husband of Mary (Peskin) Weisgold.
Born in New York City he moved to Farmingdale, N.J., during his childhood.
He was one of the founder's of The Ramtown Fire Company in Howell, N.J., and also former Chief. He was a constable of Howell Township in Monmouth, N.J. He served as a member of the Knights of Pythius in Lakewood, N.J., The Howell Rotary Club, and The Coast Guard Auxiliary in Monmouth County. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and served as a Special Officer in Lakewood, N.J.
He was the owner - partner of Lakewood Dodge Auto on Route #9 in Lakewood, N.J., for many years. When he retired and moved to Pennsylvania he continued to be actively involved and was a EMT with the Fairmount Township Fire and Ambulance Corps. In later years he was owner of Dark Hollow Antiques in Huntington Mills Pennsylvania .
He is survived by a son, Martin Lewis of Laceyville; a daughter, Marjorie Heitman of Saylorsburg; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.
Donations may be made to the Fairmount Township Ambulance Association in Sweet Valley, PA.

Adele J. Marma

Adele J. Marma, 75, formerly of Stroudsburg, died Tuesday in Stroud Manor, East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late Charles Marma who died in 1982.
Born on July 3, 1923 in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Gustaitis) Pishken and had lived in the area since 1982 moving here from New Jersey where she worked as a secretary. She was a member of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in Stroudsburg.
She is survived by five children: Robert E. Marma of San Diego, Calif.; Carolie Scribner of Wurtsboro, N.Y.; Gary Charles Marma of Greenwood Lake, N.Y.; Connie Durante of Ringwood, N.J.; and Casimira Scala of Nicholson; a sister, Mary Jo Sopack of Pocono Summit; ten grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, Stroudsburg, with Father Thomas McLaughlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, Long Island, N.Y.
There will be a viewing on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Sara Werkheiser, 73, of Maple Circle, Wing Gap, died Friday, November 13, 1998, at her residence.
Born October 17, 1925, in Lower Mt. Bethel Township, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Nettie Rasley Rutt.
Until retiring, she was employed by the 76 Truck Stop, Bartonsville.
She was a member of the St. Mark's Community Lutheran Church in Appenzell.
she was a member of the Women's Democratic Club of Pen Argyl and Vicinity and the VFW of Nazareth.
Her husband, Marvin L. Werkheiser died April 19, 1993.
She is survived by three daughters : Shirley Pyatt of Phillipsburg; Carol Werner and Mabel Saylor of Bartonsville; two sons , Marvin J. of Wind Gap, and Terry F. of Reeders; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Gehris.
Services where held at Church Hill Cemetery, Martins Creek.

Helen Traetta, 74, of Brodheadsville, died Monday, November 16, 1998, at the Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of Armand Traetta. They had been married 54 years.
Born in New York City, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Schneider) Bourke.
She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters , Barbara Cole of Sunrise, Fla., and Ann Borowicka of Pocono Summit; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 18, 1998 at the Donald N. Gower Funeral Home, Inc., Route 209, Gilbert, with the Rev. Father William McCawley officiating. Interment will be in the Calverton National Veterans Cemetery, Long Island, N.Y. Viewing will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

William D. Mack, 54, of Jonas, died Sunday in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.
He was the husband of Angela (LoRusso) Mack. They would have observed their 10th wedding anniversary next month.
Born in Queens, N.Y., he was a son of the late William A. and Dorothy (Goddard) Mack.
He had been a railroad engineer for the Long Island Railroad for 25 years, retiring in 1995.
He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Assembly of God in Brodheadsville, where he had been a Sunday School teacher and head of the Men's Ministry. He was also a church deacon.
He had served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and was a Viet Nam War veteran.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters : Christine Edgar of Justice; Jessica Mack of Minnesota; and Kathleen and Maria Mack, both at home; three brothers : Warren Mack of South Dakota and Wayne and Martin Mack, both of New York; two sisters , Darlene Canion of Texas , and Doreen Kupperschmidt of Louisiana ; and three grandchildren: Elizabeth, Lindsey and William Edgar, all of Justice.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Green Ridge Cemetery in McIlhaney with interment to follow. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. There will be no viewing.

Elma M. McCollum, 73, of Bushkill, died Sunday, Nov. 15 at her home. She was the wife of Ira D. McCollum.
Born in Greenup, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Belford) Greene. She was a resident of the Bushkill area for the past 25 years and prior to that she lived in the Oxford, N.J., area. She was a member of the Bushkill Reformed Church in Bushkill.
In addition to her husband Ira, she is survived by four daughters : Diane Threadgill of Albuquerque, N.M.; Karen Williams of Garden Grove, Calif.; Jean Salo of Silverdale, Wash.; and Lois Bolles of Tannersville; four sons : Hershell Salyers of Descanso, Calif.; David Salyers of ElCajon, Calif.; George Brooks Ratliff of Bushkill; and Michale Wayne Ratliff of Fleetwood; three step- daughters : Geraldine (Jerry) SanChez of Oxford; Rose Green of State College; and Diane Kauls of Kansas; two sisters , Grace Evans of Mt. Vernon, Ind., and Lena Horn of Greenup, Ky.; 23 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m. from the Bushkill Reformed Church, with the Rev. Steve Sayer officiating. Burial will be in the Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 1 p.m. until the time of the services at the church.

Russell G. Burch

Russell G. Burch, 71, of Stroudsburg died on Saturday, Nov. 14, in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of the late Viola V. (Oney) Burch.
Born in Binghamton, N.Y., a son of the late Edward N. and Edna (Raleigh) Burch, he was a resident of Monroe County for many years. His prior residence was in Binghamton, N.Y.
He worked in the electronics department at the Tobyhanna Army Depot in Tobyhanna for many years until retirement. Prior to working at the Tobyhanna Army Depot, he worked in maintenance for Redmond Finishing in East Stroudsburg for 10 years. He also worked for the railroad in Binghamton, N.Y., for several years prior to moving to Monroe County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II as a Navy SEAB MMIII Class.
He is survived by a daughter, Sharon M. Burch, and a son, Daniel T. Burch, both of Stroudsburg; two step- daughters , Beverly J. Norris of Everett, Wash., and Donna M. Serfass of East Stroudsburg; four step-sons , Edward G. VanWhy of East Stroudsburg; Lawrence C. VanWhy of Stroudsburg; Gershum D. VanWhy of Kunkletown; and Robert T. VanWhy of Refton; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, James L. Burch, and a brother, Donald E. Burch.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Poortstra officiating.
There will be a viewing Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Committal will take place in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg, with the Rev. Raymond Poortstra officiating.
