Edward G. Phillips, 73, of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of East Stroudsburg, passed away Monday evening at 6:30 in the JFK Medical Center in Lantana, Florida. Edward was born in East Stroudsburg, a son of: Owen and Martha Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers , Albert, Jack, and Owen Phillips.
He is survived by his wife, Etheleve Stauffer-Phillips, at home; his daughter, Heili Shaye Randall of Lantana, Florida; two grandsons, Aaron Randall of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Ryan Randall of Lantana Fla. He is also survived by a sister, Mildred Adams of Stroudsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a partner in Stauffer and Phillips Cesspool and Septic business for many years; worked at International Boiler Works; and retired from Banner Metal Co.
Memorial services were held at 6 p.m. on December 30, 1998, at Dorsey Funeral Home, 3525 South Congress Avenue, Lake Worth, Florida.

Yvonne Peleg, 37, of Dalzell, S.C., formerly of Stroudsburg died Sunday, Dec. 27, in the Crawford Memorial Hospital, VanBuren, Ark.
She was the wife of Ronny Peleg at home.
Born in Manhattan, New York, she was the daughter of Iris (Pizzarro) Seton-Harris of Henryville and the late Robert F. Seton-Harris, Jr.
In her early years, Yvonne lived in the Staten Island, N.Y., area graduating from the Port Richmond High School, Class of 1980. She was living in the Dalzell area for the past 8 years and prior to that lived in the Stroudsburg area for a few years and also in Israel.
She was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to her husband and mother , she is also survived by a daughter, Elisa Peleg and two sons , Dennis R. Peleg and Anthony R. Peleg, all at home; a sister, Genevieve S. Arnold of Hudson, Mass.; and two brothers , Will Aldebot Seton-Harris of Dalzell, S.C., and Robert F. Seton-Harris, III, of Staten Island, N.Y.; her maternal grandmother, Evangelia Reyes of Henryville and several nieces and nephews in the United States and Israel.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. from the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, 23 N. Ninth Street, Stroudsburg, with the Rev. Father Henry E. Zapotocki officiating. Burial will be in the Stroudsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Jan. 3, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Karen Revit, 33, of North Goodwin Avenune, Kingston, died Sunday at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, where she was a patient for the past several months.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Barry and Irma (Gauz) Fischer of Dallas and Jules Greenberg of Kingston.
She was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and Wilkes University, class of 1987.
She was most recently employed as membership director of the Wilkes-Barre YMCA.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Joseph, at home; a sister, Lyn Carey of Dallas; two brothers , Steven Greenberg of Dallas and Jay Greenberg of Kingston; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, with Rabbi Michael L. Joseph officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Wilkes-Barre YMCA or to the Temple University Bone Marrow Unit, Broad and Ontario streets, Philadelphia, PA 19140.

Kathryn A. Frantz, 75, of RR 1, Kunkletown, died Monday in the Slate Belt Nursing and Rehab Center, Bangor.
She was the wife of the late Ernest D. B. Frantz.
Born in Smith Gap, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Sarah (Derhammer) Buskirk.
She had worked in various area garment mills for a total of 20 years, retiring in 1986.
She was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ in Kunkletown and a member of the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons , Maynard and Carl Frantz, both of Kunkletown; a daughter, Sandra Groller of Nazareth; two brothers , Sterling Buskirk of Saylorsburg and Jonas Buskirk of Kunkletown; three sisters , Mary Koehler of Saylorsburg, Ruth Breidinger of Pen Argyl, and Grace Borger of Kunkletown; 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ernest D. Frantz; a brother, Paul Buskirk; and two sisters , Dorothy Muffley and Esther Borger.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday from the Kresge Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Harting officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Kunkletown. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Rose E. Ford, 87, of Kunkletown, died Sunday in Brookmont Health Care Center, Effort. She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Ford, who died in 1992.
Born on April 9, 1911 in New York City, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Rose (McCabe) West and had lived in the area since 1972, moving here from New York. She has worked as a bookkeeper for McGraw-Hill Publishing in New York City for many years. She was a member of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, Stroudsburg.
She is survived by a daughter, Rosemary Lobel of Kunkletown; a son, Thomas H. Ford of Kresgeville; a sister, Carrie Boneillo of New York City, N.Y.; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, Stroudsburg with Father Carmen Perry as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg.

Ingeborg K. Oltmanns, 42, of Bartonsville, died Sunday evening in her home. She was the wife of Kirt L. Oltmanns at home.
Born on Jan. 12, 1956, in Bamberg, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Franz and Mathilde (Stiglbauer) Diewald and lived in Germany until moving to Bartonsville in 1971.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons , Jason K. Oltmanns and Jesse H. Oltmanns, both of Bartonsville; two grandchildren, Jesse and Shelby; two sisters , Rosmarie Ertl and Mathilde Hanisch, both of Germany; three brothers , Franz Diewald, Erich Diewald and Helmut Diewald, all of Germany; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, with the Rev. Henry E. Zapotocki, pastor of Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, Tannersville, officiating. Cremation will take place in the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

John E. Luton Sr., of Saylorsburg, and formerly of Bethlehem, died Saturday in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Lorraine (Knecht) Luton and the late Ethel A. (Evans) Luton.
Born in Bear Creek, he was a son of the late Benjamin W. and Lottie (Hopper) Luton.
He had been a carpenter for YZ Builders in Bethlehem for 25 years, retiring in 1988.
He was a World War II veteran and a life member of the American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert.
He is survived by a daughter, Brenda K. Luton of RR 2, Stroudsburg; a son, John E. Luton, Jr. of Allentown; a brother, Walter Luton of Bear Creek; two sisters , Dorothy (Luton) Meckes of Long Pond, and Alice (Luton) Knecht of Stroudsburg, and a granddaughter, Staci Luton of Allentown.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Kresge Funeral Home, . Burial will be in Blakeslee Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Josefa A. (Antommarchi) Cuprill entered into eternal rest, most peacefully in her sleep Christmas Day at 102 years of age at Brookmont Health Care Center.
She was the adored wife of the late Efigano, and the loving and cherished mother of Jose of New York and Efigenio of Pocono Summit.
Mrs. Cuprill was born in Puerto Rico on May 6, 1896. She is the daughter of the late Luis and late Josefa (Antongorgia) Antommarchi. She also leaves three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and many loving friends.
Friends may call on Monday, Dec. 28, at the James M. Hook & Company Funeral Directors, 35 Sterling Road, Mount Pocono, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Vigil prayers and wake service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. Father Bergaimo of St. Matthews Catholic Church of East Stroudsburg will officiate. Interment will be private.

Clarence Orville Burrill, Jr., 75, of Saylorsburg, died Saturday, Dec. 26, in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.
Born on June 25, 1923 in Arlington, Mass., he was a the son of the late Clarence O. and Isabele (Bridge) Burrill and had lived in the area since 1986, moving here from Huntington, Conn. He had been a cost accountant, retiring from Tilo Inc. in Stratford, Conn.
He was a member and cantor of the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, Stroudsburg.
He is survived by two daughters , Roberta Kapostas Dell'Orto of Saylorsburg and Georgianne Sawn of Otis, Mass.; a sister, Doris McIver of Hull, Mass; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, Stroudsburg with Father Theodore D. Petrides officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, Conn.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the church.

Carl E. Copenhaver, 65, of East Stroudsburg, died Friday, December 18, in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was the widow of Genevieve (Bigelli) Copenhaver who died in 1991.
Born in Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Paul and Harriett (Boss) Copenhaver. He was a life long resident of the East Stroudsburg area and was employed as a self employed TV repair man for many years.
He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was of the Presbyterian faith.
He is survived by a daughter, Cherie Copenhaver of Hillsboro Beach, Fla.; two sons , Kevin Copenhaver of Oneonta, N.Y., and Darryl Copenhaver of Boulder, Colo.; and a granddaughter, Hannah Patten of Hillsboro, Fla.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 28 at 1 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Shawnee, with the Rev. Carol Brown officiating. Burial will follow the services.
