Evelyn M. Boushell, 79, of Cleona, formerly of East Stroudsburg, died on Monday, July 27, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Harold A. "Chub" Boushell.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., a daughter of the late Fred H. and Frances (Swede) May. She had been a resident of Cleona for the past 11 years and prior to that of East Stroudsburg. She was of the Lutheran Faith.
She enjoyed reading, sewing and jewelry making. She worked briefly at Grants and for her husband's restaurant. After high school and when first married she worked at a sewing factory.
She is survived by a son, Harold P. Boushell of Mission Hills, Calif.; a daughter, Linda, wife of Glenn I Ebling of Cleona; two grandsons, Jeffrey S. Ebling of Denver and Jonathan G. Ebling of Reading; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 1, at 10:30 p.m. in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg with the Rev. Raymond Poortstra officiating.
Interment will be in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.

Mildred I. Miller

Mildred I. Miller, 84, of Perkasie died Tuesday Evening at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville. She was the wife of Alexander D. Miller, at home. They were married on June 24, 1939.
Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Ritter) Weaver.
She worked in the accounting department for Avon in Suffern, N.Y. She also worked in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern for several years.
She was a member of the St. Stephen's United Church of Christ in Perkasie. She was a former member of the Eastern Star, Romapo Lodge in Suffern.
While living in Stroudsburg, she was a member of the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church and worked as a volunteer at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters , Christina Brown of Germantown, Md., and Alexis Cuff of Perkasie; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31, 1998 at 11 a.m. from the Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg. Burial will be in the Evergreen Hill Memorial Gardens, East Stroudsburg.
There will be a viewing on Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. from the funeral home.

Bernard F. Clemens, 83, of Stroudsburg, died on Tuesday, July 28, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Daisy Mae (Miller) Clemens.
He was born in New York City, N.Y., a son of the late Bernard and Ottillie Clemens. He had been a resident of Monroe County for most of his lifetime and also a resident of Merritt Island, Fla.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed in Automobile Sales in Monroe County. Prior to that he was a Florida State Automobile Inspector. He was also a Real Estate Agent in Florida and owned and operated a water purification plant in Coco Beach, Fla. Prior to moving to Florida, he owned and operated the former Atlantic Service Station at the corner of West Broad and Courtland streets in East Stroudsburg. He enjoyed racing both cars and boats in the 1940's and 50's. He was a member of the Stroudsburg Lions Club.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Fred Duckloe and Barbara Townsend, both of Stroudsburg; Buddy Lord, Kathy Lord, Gary Fish, Sandra Shiffer, all of East Stroudsburg; Bernard Fish of Sarasota, Fla.; and many grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 3, at 1:30 p.m. in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg with the Rev. Raymond Poortstra officiating.
Interment will be in the Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Sunday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Walter Vincent Kearney, 51, of Mt. Bethel, died Tuesday evening in the Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Marie (Vieste) Kearney at home.
Born on April 29, 1947, in Jersey City, N.Y., he was a son of Stella (Barteska) Kearney, of Jersey city, N.J., and the late Walter Kearney and had lived most of his life in Jersey City, N.J., until moving to Mt. Bethel nine years ago.
He had worked as a welder, mechanic, and pipe fitter for Harrison Alloys, in Harrison, N.J.
He was a veteran of the United States Marines having served in the Vietnam War and was a Black Belt and Instructor at the Northeast Martial Arts Academy in Bangor.
He was a former member of St. Paul of the Cross Roman Catholic Church, Jersey City, N.J.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are a son, Sean Kearney of Weehawken, N.J.; a brother, Robert Kearney of Jersey City, N.J.; a sister, Beverly Kearney of Jersey City, N.J.; two nieces; and one nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, Ridgeway Street, East Stroudsburg with Monsignor John A. Bergamo as celebrant. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Portland.
There will be a viewing on Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Thomas Sokolowski officiating.

Christine E. (Zujkowski) Campisi, 77, of Pocono Lake died Wednesday in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was the wife of Pat Campisi. In September, they would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary.
Born in Duryea, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Bogachefski) Zujkowski. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a specialist with Dranetz Electronics in New Jersey.
In addition to her husband, Pat, she is survived by two daughters , Patricia Ford of Levittown and Kathleen Bell of East Stroudsburg. She is also survived by three brothers . John Zujkowski of Clarks Summit, Frank Zujkowski of Alabama and Andrew of New York, two sisters , Carol Grasso of Michigan and Rose Kutney of Ohio; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Saturday, Aug. 1 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the James M. Hook & Co. Funeral Directors, 35 Sterling Road, Mount Pocono.

Cecelia Piff, 82, of Shohola, died Thursday evening in Stroud Manor, East Stroudsburg where she was a resident for the past two years.
Born on August 13, 1915 in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Cecelia (Danweber) Piff and lived in Shohola for the past fifty years where she was a farmer and an avid game hunter.
Services will be private with cremation at the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. At her request, her cremains will be scattered on her farm in Shohola.

June Mary (Valentine) Dougherty, 63, of Pocono Lake, died Wednesday, July 29, 1998 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph William Dougherty, who died in 1969.
Born in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Flower and Elizabeth (Shelmerdine) Valentine. Very active in Christ the King Parish, she was an extraordinary minister for several years.
June is survived by two sons , William Francis Dougherty and Charles D. Dougherty, both of Pocono Lake; two daughters , Joanne Dougherty of Wilkes-Barre and June Marie Dougherty of Concord, Calif. She is also survived by four sisters : Sylvia Boyle of Mountain Top, Betty Balabach of Camden, N.J., Marian Valentine of Stroudsburg and Flower Musgrove of Wilkes-Barre; six grandchildren, Jacob, Billy, Joshua, Sarah, Daniel and Marissa; one step-grandchild, Ashley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis J. Dougherty who died in 1997.
Friends may call Monday, Aug. 3 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the James M. Hook & Co. Funeral Directors, 35 Sterling Road, Mount Pocono. There will also be a viewing held one hour prior to the Mass from 9 to 10 a.m. at Christ the King Church, Blakeslee on Tuesday morning.

Nicholas A. Falcone, 86, of Broadway, Bangor, died Sunday in Easton Hospital, Easton.
When he came to the Unites States, he worked for Schantz Custom Tailor on Fifth Avenue in New York. Then he moved to Bangor and opened a tailor shop in Roseto, which he ran for seven years before opening the Stroudsburg Tailor Shop in Stroudsburg in 1955. He retired in 1974.
Born April 23, 1912, in Roseto, Italy, he was a son of the late Joseph and Lucia (Denicola) Falcone.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Roseto. He was a member of the Marconi Club of Roseto and the Italian Mutual Benefit Association of Stroudsburg.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Donatelli) Falcone, with whom he celebrated his 58th wedding anniversary last May. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Nicholas Falcone of Huntingdon Valley, and a daughter, Sandra Marozzi of Bangor; two brothers , Philip N. Falcone of Bangor and Philip A. Falcone of Northampton; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Fiore Funeral Home, Third and Market streets, Bangor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Third and Garibaldi avenues, Roseto. Isobel Morton LePre, 88, of Sciota died Sunday at the Brookmont Health Care Center in Effort.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Alexander S. and Mary (Orr) Morton.
She was the wife of the late Frank R. LePre, who died in 1972.
She had been a bookkeeper for Kresge Corp. in Patchogue, N.Y., and later she was a bookkeeper for Sayville Medical Center in Sayville, N.Y., until her retirement.
She is survived by two sons , Frank R. LePre of Cutchogue, N.Y., and George M. LePre of Tampa, Fla.; one daughter, Mary, wife of John Mattfeld of Saylorsburg; and 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at the Blue Point Cemetery, Blue Point, Long Island, N.Y., with the Rev. Dowell officiating. Viewing will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the Ruland Funeral Home Inc., 500 New North Ocean Ave., Patchogue, N.Y.
