Angelo A. Arangio, 73, Fairview Avenue, Martins Creek, died Thursday in Lehigh Valley Hospital at Cedar Crest, Allentown. He was the husband of the former Levia (Bastinelli) Arangio.
Born in Phillipsburg, N.J., on Nov. 3, 1924, he was the son of the late Ignatzio and Mary (Gazzana) Arangio.
He was employed as a postal worker at the Lehigh Valley Post Office for 19 years retiring in 1989. Before that he worked at Grollmans Department Store, Easton, and in the lab at Alpha Portland Cement Co., Martins Creek, for many years. After retirement, he worked as a Tour Guide for East Coast Touring Co., Easton, escorting many tours around the world.
He was the President of the Motor Vehicle Craft Postal Union from 1974 to 1989.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the European Theatre during WW II.
He was a member of St. Rocco's Roman Catholic Church, Martins Creek
He was President-Elect of UNICO, Roseto. He was a member of the West Easton Athletic Association. He was an avid Golfer and Bowler. He bowled with the Senior Citizens league in Belvidere, N.J.
In addition to his wife, Levia, he is survived by a daughter, Linda M. DeFrank of Cresco; a brother, Anthony A. of Easton; a sister, Josephine Starniri of Bethlehem Twp.; two grandchildren, Angela and Nicholas. He was predeceased by a son, Michael David; two sisters , Anna Martinelli and Rose Squarcia; and three brothers , Alfonso, Joseph and Louis.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 9:15 a.m. at the James J. Palmeri Funeral Home, 6602 Alpha Avenue, Martins Creek, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Rocco's Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Church Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday evening, 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Francis "Mike" Michaels, 81, of RR2 Kunkletown died Friday at the Pocono Medical Center, in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of the late Florence G. (Coley) Michaels.
He was a butcher having owned and operated Manahawkin Meats in Manahawkin, NJ, Toms River, NJ and Beachwood, NJ for over 25 years until his retirement in 1972. He was a member of the Local 464 Meatcutter's Union in Little Ferry, NJ.
He was a decorated W.W.II Army Air Corp. Veteran having served in the Marshall Islands in the South Pacific.
He has been a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in North Arlington, NJ.
He is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Beleck of Frenchcreek, West Virginia; a stepson Earl Hope of Edison, NJ; his companion Isabel Molle at home. 2 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Donald N. Gower Funeral Home, Inc., Rt. 209, Gilbert with the Rev. Father William McCawley officiating. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ. Viewing will be 9 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Sean P. Daniels, 28, of Pocono Manor, died Saturday at the Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg.
Born in Dover, N.J., he was the son of Terry Daniels of Palmerton and Frances (McCullers) Daniels of Effort.
He was a mover for Triple A. Storage in Pocono Summit.
Surviving in addition to his parents is his paternal grandmother, Anabell Daniels of Palmerton; maternal grandmother, Lucielle Beiti of Butte, Montana; one brother Byron Daniels of effort; three sisters , Sherry, wife of Robert Kempner of Mount Pocono, Michelle Davillia of Newark, Delaware and Lisa Dahlem of Oceanside, N.Y.
There will be a viewing 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday with funeral services at 8:30 p.m. at the Donald N. Gower Funeral Home, Inc., Route 209, Gilbert with the Rev. Gerald Miller officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Jerusalem Union Cemetery in Trachsville.

Virginia L. Cassata

Virginia L. Cassata, 79, of Henryville died Monday, June 29, at the home of her nephew Richard Daly of Henryville.
Born in Brooklyn, New York she was the daughter of the late Charles and Katherine (Hart) Daly. She was the widow of Fred B. Cassata who died in 1971.
Virginia was living in Henryville for the past two years and prior to that lived in Freeport, Long Island area. She was employed as a Medical Receptionist at the Freeport Hospital, Freeport, Long Island for 20 years retiring in 1995.
She was a member of St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church of Canadensis. She was past commander and chaplain of the D.A.V. in New York State and an auxiliary member for the VFW #1498 in New York.
She is survived by a brother, Richard Daly of Staten Island and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 2, at 9:30 a.m. from St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church, Canadensis with the Rev. Father Alfred Vito as celebrant. Burial will be in the Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 1, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, 23 North Ninth Street, Stroudsburg.

John J. Sheehan

John J. Sheehan of Greentown, formerly of Hoboken, NJ, died Monday after a short illness at the Wayne General Hospital in Wayne, NJ.
He was a lifelong resident of Hoboken, NJ and served the Hoboken, NJ Fire Department for twenty-five years before retiring as Captain in 1984 and moving to Greentown nine years ago.
Mr. Sheehan was also a Marine Corp Veteran who served during the
Korean War.
Surviving are his wife Margaret (nee Leahy) Sheehan; one daughter, Eileen Corrado of Pompton Lakes, NJ; one son, Mark Sheehan of Greentown; two brothers , Donald Sheehan of Whiting, NJ, and Raymond Sheehan of Wood Ridge, NJ; and one grandson, Steven Corrado of Pompton Lakes, NJ. He was predeceased by his son Thomas Sheehan in 1993 and his sister Joan McKenna also predeceased him.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, 1998 at 8:45 a.m. from the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, then to Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Pompton Lakes, NJ where at 9:30 a.m. a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, South Sterling, PA. Friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Gloria Reda, 72, of Tobyhanna, died Friday, June 26, in the Sloan Kettering Medical Center, Manhattan, New York. She was the wife of Frank L. Reda at home.
Born in the Bronx, New York, she was a resident of Tobyhanna for the past 7 years and prior to that lived in the Bronx, New York area. She was a member of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church of Tobyhanna.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Marguerite "Marge" Reda of Tobyhanna; two sons , Anthony Reda of Zephyrhills, Fla. and Philip J. Reda of New Rochelle, NY; a brother Louis Cangello of new Rochelle, NY; one sister, Louise Striano of Carmel, NY; and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 30 at 10 a.m. from St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Tobyhanna.

Mildred "Nan Nan" Schoonover, 83, of North Delaware Drive, Bangor and of Dingmans Ferry died after she was stricken Saturday afternoon at her residence. She was the widow of Romain Schoonover, who died May 31, 1990.
Born May 31, 1915 in Bangor, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Jenny (Pysher) Warner and her late step-mother Florence (Miller) Warner.
She was employed as a cook at the former Centerfield School, Martins Creek for several years until her retirement.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Stone Church. She was also a member of the Never Idle Sunday School class at the church.
She is survived by three daughters , Janet M. Buzzard of Bangor, Florence A. Haycock of Lower Mount Bethel, and Betty Jane Hartzell with whom she presently resided; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Schoonover.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1 from the Hough Home for Funerals, Inc., 207 Market St., Bangor. Interment will be in Reformed Church Cemetery, Stone Church. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rose M. Gallagher, 74, of East Stroudsburg and formerly of Philadelphia, died Thursday at her home. She was the wife of the late John J "Joe" Gallagher.
Born on June 4, 1924 in Shamokin, she was the daughter of the late George Francis and Mary Catherine (O'Gara) Mullen and had lived in the area for the past twenty years. She was a member of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, East Stroudsburg and a facilitator for the Penn Estates Prayer Group.
She is survived by two daughters , Rosemary G. Pagliaro of Philadelphia and Margaret Ann Gregan of Rockledge; four sons , John J. Gallagher of Drexel Hill, Timothy Joseph Gallagher of Philadelphia, Patrick J. Gallagher of Richboro and Michael A. Gallagher of Warminster; a brother, Frank Mullen of Milwaukee, WI; a sister, Margaret Robinson of Danville and eleven grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the mother Cabrini Roman Catholic Church, Shamokin with burial in the St. Edward's Cemetery, Shamokin. Cremation was in the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

Dorothy S. Randall, 76, of Sciota, died Thursday in Muhlenberg Medical Center, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Bradley H. Randall to whom she had been married for over sixty years.
Born on Sept. 21, 1921, in Whartondike, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Smith and together with her husband, owned and operated the Evergreen Motel in Sciota for fifty years. She had been a member of the Kellersville United Methodist Church and had been active as a Girl Scout leader for over twenty-five years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Barbara Pugh of Stroudsburg; a son, Clifford B. Randall of The Colony, Texas ; two sisters , Pearl Gilmore of Oakland, N.J., and Elsie Weaver of Port Richie, Fla.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the William H. Clark Funeral Home, with Rev. Phyllis M. Hammel officiating. Burial will follow in the Kellersville Cemetery, Stroudsburg.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
