Ruth E. Pensyl, Stroudsburg, died Tuesday evening at home. She was the wife of Raymond Pensyl, Jr., at home.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Emma North. She lived most of her lifetime in Stroudsburg.
She was employed by Bear Automotives in Bangor for 13 years before retiring in 1980.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Beverly Eilenberger of Stroudsburg; four grandchildren, Phyllis Smith of Pen Argyl, Darlene Eilenberger of Northville, Mich.; Sue Carol Houlouse of East Stroudsburg, and Brett Eilenberger of East Stroudsburg; six great grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Dustin Smith and Stephanie Smith all of Pen Argyl and Jessica Houlouse, Daniel Houlouse and Emily Houlouse all of East Stroudsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg, with the Rev. David Humphrey officiating. Burial will be in the Delaware Water Gap Cemetery, Delaware Water Gap.
There will be a viewing on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. from the funeral home.
Memorial donations should be made to the Lehigh Valley Hospice, 1273 North Ninth Street, Stroudsburg 18360.

Henry Stanislaus Bruzio, 84, of Pocono Pines, died Tuesday in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, after an illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Jean Przygoda who died in 1984.
Born in Manayunk, Pa., he was the son of the late Raymond and Rose (Fertik) Bruzio. Prior to his retirement in 1982, he was a Kiln Operator at Camden Pottery, Camden, N.J., for many years.
He is survived by his daughter, Dorothy Walsh of Pocono Pines. Also surviving is one grandson, Courtaney Le Cates of Seattle, Washington .
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Church, Camden Avenue, Pennsauken, N.J. Fr. Fred Voltaggio will officiate. Interment immediately following at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chew's Landing, N.J.
Friends may call on Friday morning from 8 to 10 a.m., two hours prior to the Mass at the Predpelski Funeral Home, 983 Haddon Avenue, Camden, N.J.

R. Lee Bisher, 65, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 28, while vacationing on the Isle of Man. He was the husband of Helen Bisher, at home.
Born May 25, 1933, in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of Edith M. (Hawes) Bisher of Bangor and the late Russell A. Bisher.
He was a graduate of Calvert Hall in Baltimore class of 1951. He then attended Lafayette College in 1952 and then the U.S. Air Force Officer Candidates School in 1953.
He served with the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He flew with the Strategic Air Command and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1966 as a Major.
He was employed as a pilot (Captain) for American Airlines from 1966 until retiring in 1995.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by one son, Lee R. Bisher of Clinton, N.J.; two daughters , Dorothy and Margaret Bisher, both of Flemington, N.J.; two brothers , Roy "Kim" Bisher of Portland, Ore., and Stephen Bisher of Bangor; one sister, Kathleen Pritchard of Bangor; one grandson; and nieces and nephews. One brother, Bruce Bisher, died earlier.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 13, at 10 a.m., in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 436 South 2nd Street, Bangor.
Burial will be in the East Bangor Cemetery in East Bangor.
There will be no calling hours.

Donald F. Conroy

Donald F. Conroy, 84, of Cresco, died Wednesday at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton. He was the husband of Grace M. (Minton) Conroy, at home.
Born March 24, 1914, in Keansburg, N.J., he was the son of the late Walter and Catherine (Furbey) Conroy.
Mr. Conroy had attended Monmouth College.
He was a member of the Red Bank National Guard from 1934-1941, Sgt. Essex Troop Calvary Unit; exempt fireman of Keansburg Fire Company #1; a member of the Bayshore's Lion's Club,; past chairman of the Keansburg Housing Authority; past chairman of the former Keansburg Port Authority; a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 1953; and a lifetime member of the DAV of W. Keansburg.
Mr. Conroy owned the Conroy and Son Insurance Agency, Keansburg, N.J. from 1947 to 1982.
He lived in Cresco for the past 15 years, moving from Keansburg.
In addition to his wife Grace, he is survived by a son, James P. Conroy of Middletown, N.J.; 3 daughters , Patricia M. Conroy of Red Bank, N.J., Nancy A. Lopes of Ocean Pine, Md., and Joan M. Castaneda of Freehold, N.J.; a brother, John F. Conroy of Coral Gables, Fla.; a sister, Rita Selinger of Stewart, Fla.; and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James RC Church, Red Bank, N.J. Interment follows in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Middletown, N.J.

Maria A. "Grandma" Chiarelli, 89, of RD 2 Saylorsburg, died Sunday in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.
She was the wife of the late Gaetano Chiarelli.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Archille and Rose (Ragozini) Cirranni.
She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert.
She is survived by her grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Paul and Marianne Lopapa of RD 2 Saylorsburg, with whom she resided, and by a brother, Jerry Cirranni of Brooklyn, N.Y. She was preceded in death by two daughters , Angelina Lopapa and Rose Carol Chiarelli.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Wednesday from Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert with Rev. William McCawley as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. from the Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville.

Blanca Inez Staples, 69, Wyomissing, died on May 19, 1998 at Reading Hospital in West Reading.
She was the wife of the late Albert C. Staples who died on April 12, 1981.
She was born in Quito, Ecuador, the daughter of Floresmilo Castro and Victoria (Perez) De Castro.
She was employed as a dietitian in a hospital in Voz Andes, Ecuador; Wyckoff's Department Store in the Poconos; Pocono Medical Center, as a lab assistant; support staff of the Green Thumb in Stroudsburg; Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Washington , D.C.; and also held different administrative positions in the church.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Muhlenberg Park.
She is survived by one son, Dr. Ivan L. Torres of Wyomissing; one daughter, Victoria, wife of John B. Cays of Stroudsburg; three brothers : Alfredo Paredes of San Jose, Costa Rica; Guillermo Castro and Efrain Castro, both of Quito, Ecuador, one sister, Clara Castro of Quito, Ecuador; 5 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 6 step-great-grandchildren.
Services were held on May 23 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Muhlenberg Park. Interment was in Cherry Valley Cemetery (Kellers) in Stroudsburg.

Kermit B. Rinker
May 31, 1998
Kermit B. Rinker, 83, Reeders, died Sunday at his home. He was the husband of Ruth (Neuer) Rinker, at home.
Born in Reeders, he was the son of the late Arthur and Cora (Buskirk) Rinker. He was a lifelong resident of Monroe County.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the US Army. After the war, he began working as a lineman for PP&L. He then became a cook at Johnson's Diner in Scotrun. In 1959, he became the owner and operator of the Arlington Diner in Stroudsburg until 1969.
He began working for the Pennsylvania Department of Forests and Water in 1969 until his retirement in 1979. From the late 1970s to the mid 1980s, he along with his brother, operated the Rinker Shooting Range in Jackson Township.
After his retirement, he along with his wife, operated the kitchen at the Pocono Slate Belt Shooting Range.
He was a member of J. Simpson Africa Lodge F. and A.M. #628; Irem Temple Shrine; a life member of the NRA; a life member of the PA Trappers Association; a member of the North America Trappers Association; and he was a Pennsylvania Forest Fire Warden.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons , Gary Rinker and Scott Rinker, both of Jackson Township; a brother, Martin Rinker, Reeders.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 1998 at 11 a.m. from the Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg with the Rev. Thomas Anderman officiating. Burial will be in the Appenzell Cemetery, Appenzell.
There will be a viewing on Wednesday, June 3, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home. J. Simpson Africa will conduct Masonic Services on Wednesday at 8 p.m. from the funeral home.

Linda A. Snyder, 38, of Greentown died on Sunday, May 31, 1998, in her home.
Born in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of Frederick A. and Ann (Brush) Snyder of Mount Pocono. She was a life long resident of Monroe and Pike counties.
She was employed as a floor worker for Vinnie's blouse factory in Mount Pocono for many years. She also worked for LEM Manhart Enterprises in Canadensis. She was an avid hunter and loved to fish.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, John Vanderweel, Jr. of Mountainhome; a sister, Catherine Weiss of Long Pond; a brother, Harry C. Brush of East Stroudsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 1998, at 10:30 a.m. in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, with Rev. Raymond Poortstra officiating.
There will be a visitation on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
Cremation will take place in Arlington Crematory, White hall.
Committal of remains will take place in Sand Hill Cemetery, Shoemakers.
