Joseph John McLaughlin, 68, of Roemerville, Greene Twp., Pike Co., died Saturday in the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.
He was the husband of the late Bridget McLaughlin who died in 1977.
Born in Pittston, a son of the late Peter and Mary Haron McLaughlin, he had lived in the Newfoundland area for the past 14 years.
He retired in 1985 as supply supervisor of the Veterans Administration Hospital, East Orange, N.J.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, Canadensis.
He is survived by two sisters , Margie Brush and Agnes Parrish, both of Newfoundland; and a brother, John McLaughlin of Haverhill, Mass.
A memorial service will be held at a time and date to be announced

Carol Ann Billings

Carol Ann Billings, 60, of East Stroudsburg, died on Sunday at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Service in Scranton. She was the wife of the late Fred Billings.
She was born in the Bronx, N.Y., a daughter of Lillian (Domsky) Berchielli of East Stroudsburg and the late August Berchielli. She had been a resident of Monroe County for the past eight years.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church of East Stroudsburg.
She was employed by East Stroudsburg University as a secretary for Professors William Livingood and Lynn Woodhouse for the past five years.
In addition to her mother , she is survived by two sons , Brian Billings of Mastic, N.Y., and Craig Billings of Manhattan, N.Y.; a granddaughter, Brianna Billings; five brothers , Charles M. Berchielli and Edward A. Berchielli both of East Stroudsburg, Arthur J. Berchielli of New Paltz, N.Y., Robert J. Berchielli of Yaphank, N.Y., and August E. Berchielli of Sacramento, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, Route 209, East Stroudsburg with Msgr. Kevin O'Neill as the celebrant.
Interment will be in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Shoemakers.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg. There will be a prayer service on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Guy E. Chaderton

Guy E. Chaderton, 69 of Blakeslee, died on Sunday in his home. He was the husband of Arline (Webberson) Chaderton at home. They had celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in October.
Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Norman and Editha (Payne) Chaderton.
He had been an X-ray technician in various New York hospitals for 38 years, retiring in 1991.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons , Cameron and Paul Chaderton, both of Blakeslee; a daughter, Nancy Evans of Blakeslee; a brother, William Chaderton of Bronx, N.Y.; and six grandchildren.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Janice Moeller

Janice (Love) Moeller, 76, died Feb. 14 at the National Health Care Facility, Port Charlotte, Fla., after an illness. Formerly of Tobyhanna, she resided in Ft. Myers, Fla., with her husband, Henry, for the past several years.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late C. Lloyd and Alice (Burr) Love. She was a member of Tobyhanna United Methodist Church prior to relocating to Florida.
Besides her husband, Henry, she is survived by three daughters , Janice Learn of Stroudsburg, Catherine Fritz of Sarasota, Fla., and Barbara Pope of Pocono Summit; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Tobyhanna United Methodist Church, Tobyhanna.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the church. Rev. Joan Pacocha will officiate. Interment immediately following at Overfield Cemetery, Meshoppen.

Margaret Wickham, 78, of Stroudsburg, died on Monday, February 16, in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of Terence A.J. Wickham, MD at home. They were married for 58 years.
Born in Bangalore, India, a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Eileen (Mangan) Morrissey. She was a resident of Monroe County for the past 9 years, prior to that of Bournemouth, England for many years.
She was a volunteer for the British Red Cross.
She was a member of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in Stroudsburg.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Carol Varipapa of Stroudsburg; two grandchildren, Alex Meier of Stroudsburg, and Joanne Meier of Manassas, Va.; two sisters , Patricia Hunt and Eileen Morrissey, both of England; and three brothers , Patrick Morrissey, Charles Morrissey, and Thomas Morrissey, all of England.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in Stroudsburg with Father Thomas McLaughlin as the celebrant. There will be no viewing.
Committal will take place in Cherry Valley Cemetery in Stroud Township.

Joseph F. Murphy

Joseph F. Murphy of Dupont, formerly of East Stroudsburg, died Monday evening at Wilkes Barre General Hospital following an illness.
He was born in Pittston, the son of the late Martin and Genevieve Williams Murphy.
Prior to retirement he was a Sergeant for the Pa. State Police for 33 years, serving in Swiftwater, East Stroudsburg, Lords Valley, and the Wyoming Barracks.
He was a graduate of Pittston High School and the Pa. State Police Academy of Hershey. He was a member of St. Mary Help of Christian Church in Pittston; Holy Name Society; Fraternal Order of PA State Police; The Veterans of Foreign Wars; and John F. Kennedy 4th Degree Council Knights of Columbus #372. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Marines at Guadacanel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Catherine A. Curry and two step brothers , Thomas Murphy and Leo Murphy.
He is survived by two daughters , Carol Ann Murphy and Catherine Murphy at home; two sons , Joseph Murphy of Texas and Martin Murphy of Massachusetts; a sister, Alice Murphy of Pittston, six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today at 9 a.m. from the Paul F. Leonard Funeral Home, 575 N. Main Street in Pittston with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary Help of Christian Church in Pittston. Interment in Parish Cemetery in Pittston.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Esther M. Kishbaugh, 87, of Stroudsburg, died Tuesday in Pleasant Valley Manor, Hamilton Township. She was the wife of the late Richard Kishbaugh.
Born on February 4, 1911, in Monroe County, where she lived all of her life, she was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Stroudsburg.
She is survived by a sister, Edith Kriebel of Allentown; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg, with Rev. Gail H. Kees officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.
There will be a viewing on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Arlene J. Mirel, 57 of Saylorsburg, died Thursday at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl (Dickstein) Mirel.
She had worked as a Clinical Psychologist at Mental Health/Mental Retardation of Monroe County for over 15 years.
She had attended Temple Israel in Stroudsburg.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Thiers of Effort; 1 sister, Susan Johnson of Brodheadsville; 1 brother, Stanley Mirel of Mahopac, N.Y.; 7 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were held 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Donald N. Gower Funeral Home, Inc., Route 209, Gilbert, with the Rabbi Steven Peskind officiating.
