Jessie O. (Harvey) Leith
Jessie O. (Harvey) Leith, age 83, of Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown PA, formerly of Hellertown PA, died Saturday, February 24, 2001 in the Phoebe Richland Health Care Center. She was the Widow of the late Paul E. Leith.

Born October 2, 1917 in Hellertown PA, she was the Daughter of the late Harry Harvey and Jessie L. (Male) Harvey. She worked for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local 234 as a Seamstress at the former Dora Lee Manufacturing in Hellertown, Swan Lee Manufacturing in Richlandtown and Casco Manufacturing in Hellertown for many years until her retirement in 1983.

She is survived by her daughters , Anita L. Weiand of Hellertown PA and Phyllis A. Sell of Bethlehem PA; 2 Granddaughters, 4 Great Granddaughters and 1 Great Great Grandson. She is predeceased in death by Grandsons, Bryan R. Wiend and Robert E. Sell, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown. There will be no calling hours. Interment in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

Bartine C. 'Shorty' Meckes
Bartine C. 'Shorty' Meckes, age 73, of 5261 Cobbler Road, Schnecksville PA, died Wednesday, August 16, 2000 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township PA. He was the husband of Mary Ann (Frantz) Meckes. The couple celebrated their 52nd Anniversary this past June 19th.

Born March 24, 1927 in White hall Township PA, he was the son of the late Arthur W. and Helen (Borger) Meckes. He was a Kiln Operator for the former White hall Cement Co. (now LaFarge Corp.) in Cementon for 34 years before retiring in 1980. Mr. Meckes also was a farmer in North White hall Township for many years. He was a member of Egypt United Church of Christ, White hall PA. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II.

Wife; Daughter, Gloria A., wife of Wayne L. Blocker of White hall PA and Bernice C. wife of Edward A. Slowitsky of Bethlehem Township PA; Brother, Alvin Meckes of Kunkletown PA; 4 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter.

Funeral Services will be Private at the convenience of the family. No Calling Hours. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Rt. 309, Schnecksville PA is in charge of arrangements. The Reverend Charles R. Schultes presiding. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown PA.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the NOVA Emergency Medical Services c/o the Funeral Home, P.O. Box 196, Schnecksville PA 18078-0196.

Charles W. Mulicka, Sr.
Charles W. Mulicka, Sr., age 82, formerly of Rentzheimer Drive, Hellertown PA, died Thursday, July 24, 2003 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenburg, Bethlehem PA. He was the Widower of the late Julia (Herishko) Mulicka, 1999.

Born in Fountain Hill PA, he was the son of the late Stephen and Theresa Mulicka. He was employed in the Machine Shop of the Bethlehem Steel for 44 years, retiring in 1983. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. He was a Member of the Church of St. Theresa of Child Jesus, Hellertown PA.

He is survived by his Son, Charles W. Mulicka, Jr. of Allentown PA; Daughter, Diane J. Persing of Bethlehem PA; brothers , Michael of Easton PA and Joseph of Bethlehem PA; sisters , Margaret Zemanek of Hellertown PA and Helen Warning of Bethlehem PA; and 9 Grandchildren. He is predeceased in death by his Son, Gary J. Mulicka, 1975.

Funeral Services will be held 9:00 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2003 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown. Family and Friends may call 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. Monday in the Funeral Home. Interment in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem PA.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, PO Box K, Hellertown 18055.

Darothy E. (Anders) Mihulec
Darothy E. (Anders) Mihulec, age 67, of Zephyr Hills FL, formerly of Hellertown PA, died Sunday, February 1, 2004 in her home. She was the Wife of Stephen W. Mihulec.

Born in Hellertown PA, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Darothy (Weaver) Anders. She was a Seamstress at the former Schoble Brother's Manufacturing in Bethlehem PA. She previously worked as a Seamstress at the former Berkron Manufacturing, Bethlehem PA and various other local factories. She was of the Lutheran Faith.

She is survived by her daughters , Doris vanDelft of the Netherlands, Donna Hibbler of Hellertown PA and Dana Mihulec with whom she resided; Brother, Larry Mihulec of Bethlehem PA; and 3 Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday February 10, 2004 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA. Family and Friends may call 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Funeral Home. Interment in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

Elizabeth 'Betty' A. McManus
Elizabeth 'Betty' A. McManus, age 81, of 465 Front Street, Hellertown PA, died Thursday, August 3, 2000 in her home. She was the wife of Edward J. McManus. The couple celebrated their 53rd Anniversary this past October 2.

Born November 27, 1918 in Hellertown PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Lottie (Ruch) Trumbower. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Hellertown. She was previously employed as a Brakeman during World War II for the Reading Railroad. In the early years of the Hellertown Pool, she was employed in the locker room and ever since that time she and a group of ladies went daily at the pool. Her achievments and memberships include Active Member and Past Board Member of the Hellertown Historical Society, Work Study Program with Lehigh University Students at the Grist Mill, Past Bible School Teacher at First United Church of Christ, Custodian at the Grist Mill, Hellertown for the Hellertown Historical Society and Drum player for the former Hellertown High School Band.

She is survived by her Husband; daughters , Patricia A., wife of Frank J. Zelko of Bethlehem PA and Brother, Titus Trumbower of Santa Rosa CA.

A Calling Hour will be held Sunday, August 6, 2000 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 7, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials can be made to First United Church of Christ, 501 Northampton Street, Hellertown PA 18055 and the Hellertown Historical Society, PO Box 140, Hellertown PA 18055.

Emanuel T. Muehlen
Emanuel T. Muehlen, age 91, of 654 Shields Street, Bethlehem PA, died Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg, Bethlehem PA. He was the Widower of the late Marguerite M. (Ruth) Muehlen, who died June 2, 1982.

Born April 3, 1909 in Lincoln NE, he was the Son of the late Peter Von and Marie W. (Klomann) Muehlen. He was a Self Employed Plumber & Electrician, trading as E.T. Muehlen in Hellertown for many years until retiring in 1975.

He is survived by his daughters , Jean A. Tompkins, with whom he resided and Esther R. Carpenter of Marietta OH; Son, John P. Muehlen of Walden NY; 11 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the Family. The are no Calling Hours. Interment in Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Arrangements by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown.

Fern C. 'Foxie' (Gantz) Muthard

Fern C. 'Foxie' (Gantz) Muthard, age 69, of 4030 Mauch Chunk Road (Ironton), Coplay, PA, Died Tuesday, February 22, 2000 in her home. She was the wife of Raymond W. Muthard. The couple celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary last August 16th.

Born February 14, 1931 in Coplay, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur G. and Dorothy A. (Schmoyer) Gantz.

She was the Office Manager at Nuss Enterprises, Inc. in Ballietsville, PA for 24 years before retiring in 1998. Prior to that she was a Teachers Aid and Playground Supervisor for the Ironton Elementary School for 5 years. Prior to that she was a Secretary for the former Trojan Powder Co. in South White hall Township for several years.

She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, White hall, PA. She was a Former Judge of Elections, North White hall Township for 30 years and Social Director of Fund Raising for the Ladies Auxiliary of North White hall Ambulance Corp., now know as NOVA, in Ormrod since 1974.

She is survived by her Husband, sons Gary R. Muthard of Northampton, PA, Keith A. Muthard of Ballietsville, PA, Bruce D. Muthard of Allentown, PA and Douglas B. Muthard of Ironton, PA, sisters , Dolores Wotring of Catasauqua, PA, Mary Ann wife of Gordon Williams of Boalsburg, PA (Centre Co.), Joanne wife of Edward Jalowiecki of Allentown, PA, brothers , Lloyd Gantz of Schnecksville, PA, LeRoy Gantz of Schnecksville, PA, Leonard Gantz of Allentown, PA and 6 Grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 25, 2000 in the church. Calling hours will be 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m Thursday in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 4906 Route 309 Schnecksville and 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m Friday at the church.

Hazel Mae (Frankin) Majors
Hazel Mae (Franklin) Majors, age 87, of Schnecksville PA, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. PA. She was the widow of the late Don O’Neil Majors.

Born January 5, 1913 in Bridgeton Township, Bucks Co. PA she was the daughter of the late Henry and Carrie (Lichleiter) Franklin. She was a Clerk / Manager for various Gas Stations in the Lehigh Valley and also worked as a cleaning person for Air Products & Chemicals, Trexlertown before retiring.

She has no immediate survivors.

A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2000 at the Nockamixon Union Cemetery, Nockamixon Township PA. There will be no calling hours. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be in Nockamixon Union Cemetery, Nockamixon Township PA.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the Humane Society.

Jeffrey C. Mann
Jeffrey C. Mann, age 41, of 1703 Keith Drive. Hellertown PA, died Saturday, October 21, 200 at the St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill PA. He was the husband of Christine A. (Palik) Mann. The couple celebrated their 18th Anniversary this past May.

Born December 4, 1958 in Fountain Hill PA, he was the son of the late William H. Mann and Jean (Wirth) Mann. He worked as a Cabinet Maker at the William H. Mann Custom Kitchens, Bethlehem Twp. for the past 10 years. Prior to that he worked at the Bethlehem Contracting, Bethlehem Fabricating, Steel Structures and in the Auto Body Department of Key Pontiac, Bethlehem. He was a member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon Twp.

He is survived by his Wife; daughters , Kailyn I. Mann and Sarah J. Mann at home; Son, Timothy W. Mann at home; Brother, Bruce Mann of Bethlehem Twp. PA; sisters , Bonnie Ryan of Bath PA, Christine Mann of New Tripoli PA, Susan Mann of Bethlehem Twp. PA and Beverly Steiner of Bethlehem PA.

Visitation will be held 7:00 - 8:30 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2000 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA. A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 24, 200 at the New Jerusalem Evangelical Church, 3233 Apples Church Road, Bethlehem PA. Interment will be in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the Kailyn, Sarah and Timothy Mann Education Fund c/o the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA 18055.
