Jacqueline A. (Stahl) Benner
Jacqueline A. (Stahl) Benner, of Montello Road, Sinking Spring PA, formerly of Rovaldi Avenue, Bethlehem PA, died Monday, October 7, 2002 in her home. She was the Widow of the late Rolland W. Benner who died in 2001.

Born Coopersburg PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank A. Stahl, Jr. and Dorothea S. (Dustman) Stahl Jamicky. She was a Homemaker. She was a Member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Coopersburg PA were she was a Member of the Altar Guild, Women of The ELCA and the Worship and Music Committee.

She is survived by her Son, Mitchell R. Benner of Sinking Spring PA; sisters , Rita J. Tavares of Coopersburg PA; and 2 Granddaughters.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2002 from the St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 333 Oxford Street, Coopersburg. Family and Friends may call 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Church. The Reverend John P. Fritch officiating. Interment in St. Paul's Blue Church Cemetery, Upper Saucon Township PA. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Altar Guild of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 333 Oxford Street, Coopersburg PA 18036 and/or the American Cancer Society, 2121 City Line Road, Bethlehem PA 18017.

John Batalka
John Batalka, age 88, of 890 Lincoln Drive, Allentown PA, died Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown PA. He was the Widower of the late Anna (Szedlak) Batalka.

Born February 1, 1912 in Hungary, he was the Son of the late John Batalka and Anna (Szedlak) Batalka. He worked for 35 years as a Millwright in the Coke Works Division of the Bethlehem Steel Corporation until retiring in 1977. He was a Member of the Grace Community United Church of Christ, Fountain Hill PA. He served in the Hungarian Army.

He is survived by his Sister, Katherine Hlotyak of Bethlehem PA.

Funeral Services will be Private at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA. There will be no public calling hour. Interment in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grace Community United Church of Christ, 931 Broadway, Bethlehem PA 18015.

Joseph N. Becker, Jr.
Joseph N. Becker, Jr., age 72, of Cedar Road, Hellertown PA, died Saturday, May 31, 2003 in the ManorCare II, Bethlehem PA. He was the Husband of Loretta H. (Hafner) Becker. The couple celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary last June.

Born in Hellertown PA, he was the son of Mary S. (Dando) Becker of Hellertown PA and the late Joseph N. Becker, Sr. He worked in the EFM (Electric Furnace Melt) of the former Bethlehem Steel for 31 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp having served during the Korean War. He was a Member of the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown PA. He was also a Member of the Hellertown Sportsmens Association.

He is survived by his Wife and mother ; Son, John J. Becker of Hellertown PA; Daughter, Carol A. Dotter of Greentown PA; Brother, James Becker of Las Vegas NV; and 6 Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2003 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA, followed by a 9:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown. Family and Friends may call 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Funeral Home. Interment in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association Lehigh Valley Chapter, 2045 Westgate Drive, Bethlehem PA 18017 and/or the American Heart Association Northeastern PA District, PO Box 1392, Bethlehem PA 18018-1392.

Joshua P. Buck
Joshua P. Buck, age 23, of 575 Hickory Road, Palmerton PA, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001 in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County PA after injuries he received while a passenger in an automobile.

Born August 13, 1977 in Allentown PA, he was the Son of James C. Buck of Palmerton PA and Roberta A. (Rehrig) Schmidt of Slatington PA. He was an Electrician for Stenack Electric in Lehighton PA for the last month. Prior to that, he worked for Meisner Electric in Allentown for 4 years. He was a Member of Jerusalem United Church of Christ Trachsville, Palmerton PA. He was a Graduate of Carbon County Vocational Technical School, Jim Thorpe, Class of 1996.

He is survived by his Parents; Step Father , Kevin A. Schmidt of Slatington PA; Brother, Jason C. Buck of Palmerton PA; and Maternal Grandparents, Paul S. and Joyce E. (Quinn) Rehrig of Deland FL.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2001 in the Jerusalem U.C.C. Trachsville, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton PA. Calling Hours will be 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Church. Interment in Trachsville Cemetery, Palmerton PA. The Reverend Becky J. Beckwith and The Reverend Karen A. Kresge will officiate. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Church, c/o the Funeral Home, PO Box 196, Schnecksville PA 18078-0196.

John R. Bechdolt
John R. Bechdolt, age 77, of Leithsville Road, Hellertown PA, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at the St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill PA. He was the Widower of the late Geraldine H. (Rowe).

Lower Saucon Township PA, he was the son of the late William H. and Miriam S. (Leidich) Bechdolt. He was Owned and Operated Bechdolt's Orchards, Lower Saucon Township since 1948. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II on the USS Tranquility. He was of the Protestant Faith.

He was a Member of the National Peach Council; the Bucks County Farmers Association; the PA Fruit Growers Association; and the Silver Creek Athletic Association.

He is survived by his Son, James R. Bechdolt of Hellertown PA brothers , William R. Bechdolt of Palmerton PA and Charles F. Bechdolt of Coopersburg PA; and Sister, Joyce A. Benner of Lower Saucon Township PA.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2003 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA. Family and Friends may call 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Funeral Home. Interment in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Animal Shelter of your Choice.

Jerry T. Buchvalt
Jerry T. Buchvalt, age 57, of Willings Lane, Hellertown PA, died Friday, May 30, 2003 at the St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill PA. He was the Husband of Carol A. (Mingora) Unangst. The couple celebrated their 13th Wedding Anniversary last September.

Born in Fountain Hill PA, he was the son of George and Lillian (Ashenfelder) Buchvalt of Northampton PA. He was a Bakery Technician for Gonnella Frozen Products in the Northeast for 6 years. Prior to that he was a Baker at the former Dan's IGA, Hellertown PA for 3 years and a Delivery Person for Arnold's Bakery, Allentown PA for 2 years. He was a Member of the Edward H. Ackerman Post 397, Hellertown PA; the Wanderer's Club, Bethlehem PA; and the Heights AA, Bethlehem PA. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his Wife and Parents; Daughter, Deborah of Bath PA; Brother, Donald of Bath PA; Step sons , David N. Unangst of Schnecksville PA and Donald G. Unangst of Wilmington NC; Step Daughter, Brenda J. Schaffer of Allentown PA; and 6 Grandchildren. He is predeceased in death by his daughter, Dawn.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2003 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA. Family and Friends may call 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Funeral Home. Interment in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem PA.

James T. Beltch
James T. Beltch, age 91, of the Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown PA, formerly of Phillipsburg NJ and Bath PA, died Sunday, June 22, 2003 at the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown PA. He was the Widower of the late Edith I. (Laubach) Beltch .

Born in Hellertown PA, he was the son of the late Joseph G. and Sophia I. (Zurick) Beltch. He was a Butcher at various grocery stores in the Lehigh Valley Area. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II. He was a Member of Christ Lutheran Church of Lower Saucon Township PA. He was also a Member of the F & A.M. Lodge 52, Phillipsburg NJ, the Trenton NJ Consistory, 32nd Degree Mason and the Scottish Rite.

He is survived by Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased in death by his Brother, Joseph G. Beltch, 1979.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2003 in the Christ Lutheran Church of Lower Saucon, 1804 Easton Road, Hellertown PA. Family and Friends may call 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Church. Interment in Lower Saucon Cemetery, Lower Saucon Township PA. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown PA.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church of Lower Saucon, PO Box 153, Hellertown PA 18055 and/or the Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 South 12th Street, Allentown PA 18103.

Louis A. Bingiel
Louis A. Bingiel, age 82, of 49 Second Avenue, Atlasburg PA, died Friday, February 1, 2002 at the VNA Hospice at St. Luke's, Fountain Hill PA.

Born in Louise Mine PA, he was the Son of the late Louis A. and Eva (Glzbinti) Bingiel. He was a Highway Engineer for the PA Department of Transportation for many years, retiring in 1980. He previously worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad in Construction for several years and in Various Community Mines as a Miner. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II and was a recipient of 5 Battle Stars.

He was a Member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem PA. He was Past Post Commander of VFW Post, Slovan PA; Past State Adjant of the VFW Post, Slovan PA; and active in the Democratic Party of Washington County PA.

He is survived by his Son, Louis E. Bingiel of Calhoun GA; daughters , Regina L. Watkins of Eighty Four PA and Monica M. Emrock of Bethlehem PA; Sister, Martha Witherow in Florida; 6 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. He is predeceased in death by 5 brothers and sisters .

A Mass of Resurrection will be held 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2002 in St. Anne's Catholic Church, 450 Washington Avenue, Bethlehem. Family and Friends may call 6:00 - 7:0O p.m. Saturday evening in the Church. The Reverend Monsignor Robert W. Kozel, Celebrant. Interment in Our Lady of Lourdes, Burgettstown PA. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Anne's Church, 450 Washington Avenue, Bethlehem PA 18017 and/or the VNA Hospice at St. Lukes, 709 Delaware Avenue, Bethlehem PA 18015.
