Susanne "Susan" Menear, 39 of Lebanon, Ohio formerly of Moundsville, W.Va. died at 3:00PM Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at the Hospice of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the Daughter of Susanna Gemerchak Wilson of Moundsville, W.Va. and the late Jack Wilson. Susan was a member of the St. Francis of Lebanon Roman Catholic Church in Lebanon, Ohio. She was a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University in 1988. She worked as a Registered Nurse at the Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to her mother she is survived by her Husband: Steven P. Menear whom she married August 6, 1988 1 Daughter: Brittney Ann Menear who is still at home. 1 Sister: Maria Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio 3 brothers : Jack Wilson of Huntington, W.Va., Paul Wilson of Moundsville, W.Va., and David Wilson of Atlanta, Ga. 2 Nephews Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday July 20, 2003 at the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Corner Ellsworth Ave. and Rt. 19, Mt. Verna J. Hiller, 58 of 705 N.Morris St. Waynesburg, PA died at 4:00Pm Monday Nov.25, 2002 at the Allegheny General Hosp. in Pitts. following a brief illness. She was born Sept. 5, 1944 in Waynesburg, PA to the late Samuel and Evalyn Ewart Hiller. Her entire life was spent in Greene Co. Miss Hiller was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waynesburg where she was an active member of the Hallmark Sunday School Class. She was just elected to the Misson Board of the church with her term to begin Jan. 1, 2003. Verna enjoyed working in the church library and helping to take care of the church flower beds. Miss Hiller was also a member of the One Anothering Group at the church. For 40 years she worked for the former Gallatin Bank now known as the National City Bank in Waynesburg having worked at several positions over the years. Victor Main 82 of Log Cabin Road Holbrook, PA died at 4:30AM Saturday July 12, 2003 at his residence. he was born May 7, 1921 in Wayne Twp., Greene Co. He was the Son of the late Arthur L. and Golda Wise Main Mr. Main was a Graduate of Waynesburg H.S. and Waynesburg College. He was a member of the Greene Co. and PA Associations of School Retirees. He was a Veteran of W.W.II having seerved in the Pacific Theater of Operation and was a MP during the occupation of Japan. For 20 years he played fast-pitch softball and baseball in the Brave Community League. He enjoyed taking care of the family farm, writing poetry, reading and genelogical work. Mr. Main was a retired History and Science teacher having worked for the Central Greene School District for 30 years. Mrs. Gay was a member of Washington St. United Methodist Church in Waynesburg where she was a former member of the W. S. C. S. She worked for the former Moore's and Hoge's bakeries. Later she worked for Model Shop in Waynesburg. For 12 years she worked for G. A. R. C. with handicapped children. Her husband, Russell Lowell Gay, Whom she married May 20, 1926, died November 21, 1975. Surviving are: 1 Daughter: Doris Moore of Orange Park, FL 1 Son: Allen C. Warren P. Lemley, 78 of Sycamore, died at 1:23PM Tues May 18, 2004 in the Canonsburg Hosp. following a 3 year illness. He was born 7/11/1925 in Sycamore. A Son of the late Charles Cecil and Myrtle Clark Lemley. Mr. Lemley spent his early life in Sycamore and then spent 28 years in Canonsburg and Hickory returning to Sycamore in 1976.He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Presb Church where he served as an Elder for several years. He was a Veteran of W.W.II having served with the U.S, Army in Italy and Germany. He was a member of the James Farrell American Legion Post #330, Loyal Order of Moose #461, and the Faternal Order of ELks #757 all of Waynesburg He was also a member of the Hickory Lions Club and the A.A.R.P.Mr. Lemley was a member of the Bricklayers Union Local # 9. William L. Milliken Jr. 78 of Waynesburg, PA died at 6:30PM Wed. June 4, 2003 at home. He was born Dec.3, 1924 in Morris Twp., Greene Co. to the late Wm. L.Millikin Sr. and Goldie MArie Day. He was a member of the Washington St. United Methodist Church in Waynesburg. He was a member of the John Wesley Sunday School Class. Graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1943.Mr. Millikin was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served during W.W.II.He was an active member of the Waynesburg Lions Club where he was Past President.He was member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Waynesburg Elks Lodge #757. He also served as District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for S/W PA He volunteered as a driver with the ambulance service.Mr. Milliken served on Waynesburg Boro Council for 6 1/2 years and was President for 4 years.He worked as a self employed carpenter for 15 years with Allen Scott of Rogersville.He also worked for Penn Mfg. He was born August 30, 1915 in Harrison Co., WV. he was the Son of the late Benjamin and Sena Ann Webb Heldreth. Mr. Heldreth was affiliated with the First Church of the Nazarene in Waynesburg, PA Following his graduation from High School he attended and graduated from the Coyne Electrical School. Mt. Heldreth was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union. He was also a Veteran having served with the U. S. Marine Corp. He worked in construction as an Electrician having worked for various companies retiring in 1979. His Wife: Fern Tennant Heldreth whom he married Dec. 18, 1940 died Feb. 23, 1991.
