Raymond E. Clark, 72 of Pt. Marion, PA died Thursday, April 24, 2003 at home. He had been in his usual health and death was due to an apparent heart attack. He was born Oct. 6, 1930 in Davistown, PA He was the son of the late G.W. and Zona Olive (Metheny) Clark.Mr. Clark was affiliated with the methodist faith. He was a member of the Warrior Trail Association . Raymond was a Veteran with the U.S. Airforce during the
Korean War. He worked as a Road Supervisor for White ley Twp. for 16 years. He also worked in construction and farming. He enjoyed fishing. His Wife: Marcheta E. Clark whom he married March 14, 1970 died January 20, 2003. Surviving are 2 Step- daughters : Joyce Mankey of Waynesburg, PA, and Sue Abele of Sante Fe, New Mexico 2 Step sons : James Barnes and J. Raymond L. Dukate, 93 of S. POrter St. Waynesburg died at 6:00PM Wed. Feb. 5, 2003. He was born April 16, 1909 in New Freeport, PA He was the Son of the late John David and Caroline Gump Dukate. Mr. Dukate was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Waynesburg for over 55 years. He was a member of the Hallmark Sunday School Class and had perfect attendance at Sunday School for over 55 years. He served on Several Boards and Committees at the Church.Mr Dukate was a charter member of the New Freeport Volunteer Fire Company and a retired 50 year member of the Waynesburg Volunteer Fire Co. He was a Life member of the Waynesburg Lions Club having received the Melvin Jones Fellow from the Lions.Mr. Dukate also received an award from the state of PA for having voted in every election for 50 years.For over 50 years he worked for Fox Ford Mercury in Waynesburg as a mechanic. Ronald B. Weimer, 66 of Houston, TX. formerly of Waynesburg, PA died at 4:35PM Thursday Nov. 20, 2003 at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, following a 6 years battle with prostate cancer. He was born December 3, 1936 in Waynesburg, PA He was the Son of the Late Vance and Irene Cummings Weimer. Mr. Weimer was affiliated with the Baptist Church. He was a 1958 Graduate of MIT with a degree in Electrical engineering. For 9 years he was an electronic engineer for the Army Signal Corps in Ft. Monmouth, N.J. In July of 1967 he began a long dedicated career at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory. From 1967 to 1989 he was the principal digital engineer for the 140 foot, the 300 foot and the interferometer radio telescopes in Green Bank, W.V. She was born December 30, 1917 in Cumberland Twp., Greene Co. A Daughter of the late Albert Gwynne Eaton and the late Elizabeth Tustin Eaton Shriver. Mrs. Davis was a member of the First Christian Church in Waynesburg. She was a member of the Sun City Center Womens Golf Association, and the Sun City Center Gadabouts. She was also was involved with the Sun City Center Ceramics. She helped organize Greene County Crippled Childrens Society, and was a Past member of the PA Board of P.S.E.A.-R Mrs Davis was an elementary school teacher having taught at New Freeport, McMurray and Waynesburg retiring in 1979. She was born August 1, 1938 in Waynesburg, PA to the late Raymond J. and Hazel Dille Stickels. SHe was a member of the Washington St. United Methodist Church in Waynesburg, PA where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and taught Sunday School for several years.Since 1997 she has been attending New Freeport Baptist Church.She worked for 35 years for Signal Finance as a cashier as well as having many other duties, retiring in 1995. Following her retirement she worked for 2 years for Williamsburg Cleaners in Waynesburg.She was a Graduate of Waynesburg High School class of 1956 and a Graduate of Penn Commercial Business School in 1957.Surviving is her aunt Marie Stickles of Waynesburg whom raised Sandra from the age of 11.Also surviving are her Husband: Paul E. Mrs Olmstead was a grad. of Waynesburg College with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She did grad work at Columbia University, and holds a Master's Degree from the Unv. of Mich. She also studied at the Cath. Unv. and earned a M.S. in Library Science in 1962 from the W. Reserve Unv. She was a former trustee of Waynesburg College and is a member of the Pi Lambda Theta and the Sigma Kappa, John Corbly Chapter of the D.A.R., Christopher Gist Chapter D.A.C., She was Past Pres. of the Womens Club and was a member of the Library Club and the American and PA Library Associations.
