Jane French McCall Dill, 82, of Squirrel Hill, on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000. She was the wife of James N. Dill Jr., M.D., and the late L. Milton McCall, M.D.; mother of Frances French McCall of Southern Pines, N.C. and the late Lawrence French McCall; and sister of the late Bruce French. Mrs. Dill graduated from the Baldwin School in Ardmore, Pa. and Pine Manor College in Boston, before doing postgraduate work at Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania . She taught elementary education at Friends School in Philadelphia, was active locally in the Literacy Council and the World Affairs Council; was a member of the Junior League and a board member of the Children's Center at Magee-Womens Hospital. She had been past president of the Twentieth Century Club, a member of the Pittsburgh Golf Club, the Fox Chapel Golf Club, Shadyside Presbyterian Church and its Women's Association. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Shadyside Presbyterian Church, 5121 Westminster Place, where the family will receive friends in the parlor following the service. Interment is private. Memorial contributions may be made to Magee-Womens Hospital or to Shadyside Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by H. SAMSON INC., Oakland.

Barbara Carlmark Gall, of Upper St. Clair, died peacefully after an extended illness on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000. She was the beloved wife of Robert F. Gall; loving mother of Michael C. Gall and his fiancee, Sandy, and the late Robert F. Gall Jr.; sister of May C. Christman of Atlanta, Ga.; and aunt of Linda E. Christman and Raymond R. Christman, both of Atlanta, Ga. Jean Iris McKee, 77, of Ligonier, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at the Bethlen Home, Ligonier Township. She was born April 6, 1923, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Menoher McKee. She was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, Ligonier. Survivors include several cousins and her loving family from the Covenant Presbyterian Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the J. Mildred M. Moore, 83, of Lincoln Place, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, in the Kane Regional Center Glen Hazel, Pittsburgh. Survivors include a daughter, Sally Forse of Pittsburgh; two sons , Albert R. Klever of Atlanta, Ga. and James Wilds of Plant City, Fla.; a sister, Marjorie G. Wilds of Tampa, Fla.; and two grandsons, James T. Forse and Trey Klever. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, in the Lincoln Place Nazerene Church, Interboro and Rodger St., Pittsburgh, with the Rev. W. Joseph Stump officiating. James A. Murphy

James A. Murphy, 64, of New Florence RD1, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, in Lee Hospital, Johnstown. He was born April 23, 1936, in Fairfield Township, a son of the late George Albert "Pat" and Jean Galbraith Murphy. Jim had been employed by the A&P Tea Company for 21 years until 1981. In 1981, he went into business for himself and operated Murphy's Meat Packing in Fairfield Township until his retirement in 1995. Jim loved to hunt and fish and spend time out on the Murphy Farm. He dearly loved his wife, children and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Donna Brinker Murphy; three daughters , Mrs. David (Donna Sue) Waters of Kane, Pa., Lisa Jean Murphy of Wake Forest, N.C., and Mrs. Zane (Jane Elizabeth) Harris of Hollidaysburg; six grandchildren, David, Kenny, Bethany and Bruce Waters, and Jordan and Paige Harris; two sisters , Doris Buchleitner of Latrobe and Mary Decker of Ebensburg; and three brothers , Robert V. Murphy, John G. (and wife, Margaret) Murphy and David A. (and wife, Ingrid) Murphy, all of New Florence RD1. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the J. Sara F. Rhea, 78, of New Stanton, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at her home. She was born Nov. 19, 1921, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late J. George and Mary Jane Sindorf Faust. She attended the First Presbyterian Church, Youngwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dick W. Rhea; and a brother, George Faust. She is survived by two sons , Dick W. Rhea Jr. and wife, Joyce, of Friedens, and Frank Rhea and wife, Candace, of Greensburg; a daughter, Mrs. Chas (Chris) Ridenour of Hunker; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Mrs. Calvin (Martha Jane) Train of Centerville, Va.; and a brother, Craig Faust and wife, Jean, of Greensburg. Judith R. Myers Schultz, 43, of Pitcairn, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at her residence. She was born Nov. 10, 1956, in Braddock, a daughter of the late George R. Sr. and Vernell J. James Myers. She was a member of Softball & Bowling Blue Devils. She was the owner of Hill Top Tavern. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Jeanne Greenawalt. Surviving are her husband, Bradford Schultz; children, Jason Hopkinson, Wendy Comer, James Hopkinson, Craig Schultz, Christopher Schultz and Chad Schultz; brothers , George R. Myers Jr. and James W. Myers; and sisters , Sandra Lee O'Neal and Kathryn Marie Ward. Also survived by four grandchildren. Friends will be received at the DAVID A. Eugene H. Stauffer, 91, of Bell Township, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, in Latrobe Area Hospital. Born Oct. 20, 1908, in Latrobe, he was a son of the late Harry and Wynona Powers Stauffer. He was a lifelong resident of Bell Township and a member of the Salina Bible Church. Prior to his retirement in 1973, he had been employed by General Refractories in Salina as a press changer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Stauffer; and two sisters , Anna Reynolds and Viola Watkins. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Virginia M. Willard Stauffer; two sons , Duane E. Stauffer of Salina and Glenn C. Stauffer of Bell Township; and two grandchildren, Tammy Ullrich of Dover, Fla., and Erik D. Stauffer of Bell Township. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 100 Owens View Drive, Apollo. Mary Josephine Galante Subaczus, 83, of Jeannette, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, in the Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. She was born Nov. 12, 1916, in Claridge, a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary DelGross Galante. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the former McKee Glass Co. of Jeannette. Mary was a member of the Sacred Heart Church of Jeannette and was a member of the former AMVETS of Jeannette. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George V. Subaczus Sr., in 1993; and two brothers , Anthony and Samuel Galante. She is survived by two sons , George Subaczus Jr. and Samuel Subaczus, both of Jeannette; a brother, Leonard Galante and wife, Grace, and two sisters , Frances Tatarek and Julia Smith, all of Jeannette; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette, beginning Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Church. On Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Super; Father of Albert J., Donald and John; brother of Agnes Venus, Rose Hecht, Marie O'Black, Rita Brethaur and the late Frank and Louis Super. Also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
