Bernice Jean Jones Davis, 87, of Norvelt, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at home. She was born March 28, 1913, in Mutual, a daughter of the late Alvy and Emma Lisbon Jones. She was a member of the Pleasant Unity Methodist Church and the Norvelt Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Davis; an infant sister, Hettie; two sisters , Bessie Sherrow and Freda Verneau; and three brothers , Clyde, Donald and David Jones. Surviving are her three children, Kathy Milyak and husband, Robert, of Greensburg RD7, Ray Davis of Norvelt and Wayne Davis and wife, Margo, of Lincoln Heights; two grandchildren, Paula Aiello and husband, Fred, and Robert Milyak Jr. and wife, Kim; and four great-grandchildren, Kerrick Scott, Ryan, Nicky and Tony Aiello. Friends will be received at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Frank S. DiBernardo, of Swissvale, residing in Penn Township, suddenly, on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000. Mr. DiBernardo was born Feb. 19, 1925, in Pittsburgh, to the late John and Eva DiBernardo. He is the former husband of Jacqueline Lee. Loving Father of John DiBernardo and his wife, Sharon, Diane Anderson and her husband, Philip, and Christine Tappe and her husband, Charles III, all of Penn Township. Grandfather of Philip Jr., Jonathan, Paul, Sara, David, Zack, C.J., Tristan and Jacob. Brother of Maria Rosetti, Jack DiBernardo, Sister Joan of Arc "Peggy," and William DiBernardo, and the late James and Carl DiBarnardo. Frank was born and raised in Swissvale, and was educated at the University of Miami, Florida. He pursued a career as a civil engineer for U.S. Steel. Mr. DiBernardo was a Marine Corps veteran serving as a corporal in the Third Division Amphibious Tanks in World War II. Joseph DiRocco, of McKeesport, formerly of Munhall, on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000. Beloved husband of Virginia (DeMeo) DiRocco. Father of Anthony and wife, Mary Jo, of Munhall, Charles and wife, Cathy, of North Huntingdon, Eugene and wife, Jacqueline, of Atlanta, Ga., and Barbara and husband, Charles Banks, of Atlanta, Ga. Brother of Anthony of South Carolina, Elvira Abramowitz of Levittown, and the late Ann Kovacs. Grandfather of Charles Jr., Dominic, Michael, Jessica and Joseph. Mr. DiRocco was a retired car inspector with the B&O Railroad and a former bus driver for the West Mifflin school district; a veteran of the U.S. Navy/World War II, and a member of the American Legion Post 361, McKeesport and the G.B.U., Duquesne. Donald William "Bill" Dombrow Jr., 38, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Jeannette and Franklin, Pa., died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, in Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 13, 1961, in Jeannette, a son of Donald William Sr. and Bertha L. Link Dombrow of Fairfield Glade, Tenn. He was a U.S. Army veteran with nine years of service. He was a technician with his artistry in marble. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, August and Edith Dombrow; and his maternal grandparents, James Gordon and Bertha Ballinger Link. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children, August and Rachel Dombrow of Franklin, Pa.; two sisters , Susan Potts and her husband, Joseph, of Penn Township and Rebecca Troup and her husband, Daniel, of Greensburg; and a number of nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. Albert L. Hilger, 98, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, in Windsor Place Nursing Home, Ross. Born Oct. 11, 1901, in Beaver, he was the son of the late Michael and Maryann Roziewicz Hilger. Mr. Hilger was a retired sign painter for Joseph Horne Co. Survivors include two sons , Milton A. Hilger of Baltimore and Albert L. Hilger of New Haven, Conn.; a daughter, JoEllen Duckett of West View; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Bronakoski Hilger; a son, William J. William H. Manson, of Sewickley, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, in his home. Mr. Manson had 43 years of service with Columbia Gas, served in the Air National Guard for six years, was a camp ranger at Camp Anawana and Camp Semiconn and volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America for 20 years. He received the Silver Beaver Award and two conservation awards. He was the beloved husband of Deloris Walls Manson; brother of Gerald Manson of Portersville and Robert Manson of Bell Acres; Father of Sharian Hadricky of McCandless, Beverly Lydick of Wexford, Brenda Hepner of Sewickley, Sandy Kuny of North Carolina, William H. Manson of Sewickley, James Manson of Rhode Island, Mark Manson of Thoenixville and Lisa Sarver of Crescent; Father -in-law of David J. Kuny Sr. and Paul Weber; and dear friend of Otus and Lori Townsand of Ohio. Survivors also include 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Miles and Opal Manson; a twin sister, Shirley Rugani; and two sons -in-law, Dr. F. Scott Lydick and Ronald C. Hepner. She was born Oct. 3, 1908, in Softia, Syria, a daughter of the late Mike and Anna Hanna Dave. She was a member of the West Newton United Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Noland Messner, in 1956; two brothers , Samuel and Charles Dave; and a sister, Catherine Leasure. She is survived by two sons , Melvin Messner of Herminie and Thomas Messner of Ariz.; a daughter, Dorothy Come of McKeesport; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters , Helen Gara of West Newton and Anne Jordan of Youngwood; and two brothers , Phil Dave of West Newton and John Dave of Pittsburgh.
