Violet J. Bottomley
Mill Run

Violet J. Bottomley, 80, of Mill Run, died suddenly Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at her home. She was born Oct. 9, 1919, in Mill Run, a daughter of the late Raymond and Rebecca Rugg Miner. Violet was a longtime resident of Mill Run and a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher in the church for over 30 years. She was also a member of the Mill Run Grange and the Mountain Crafts Club, and was a former Den mother for the Cub Scouts and was also involved in 4-H. Violet is survived by her loving sons , Alan D. Bottomley and his wife, Gloria, of Mill Run, R. Dewayne Bottomley and his wife, Linda, of Rockwood and William H. Bottomley and his wife, Linda, of Mill Run; five grandchildren, Shawn Bottomley of Dunkirk, N.Y., Beth Bottomley of Hagerstown, Md., Megan Bottomley of Mill Run, Melinda Bottomley of Mill Run and David Bottomley of Rockwood; a great-grandchild, Damien Bottomley; and three sisters , Sybil Beck and her husband, Carl, of Indian Head, Cora Hyatt of Sheridan, Ill., and Cosey brothers and her husband, Clyde, of Connellsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Bottomley, in 1994; two sisters , Rachel Peck and Ina Nicholson; and two brothers , Ted and Raymond Dale Miner. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at THE CLYDE BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 711, Melcroft, where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Davis officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery, Mill Run.

Darren P. Clawson
Oak Island, N.C.,
Formerly of Blairsville

Darren P. Clawson, 35, of Oak Island, N.C., formerly of Blairsville, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at Oak Island. He was born Jan. 14, 1965, in Latrobe, a son of J. Wayne and Arlene Olsen Clawson of Blairsville. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. and the L.O.O.M., both in Long Beach, N.C. Darren graduated from Blairsville High School in 1983, and was employed by Advanced Waste Management as a heavy equipment operator. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers , Jeffrey W. Clawson Sr. of Blairsville and Michael D. Clawson of Indiana, Pa.; two sisters , Bonnie Stipcak and her husband, David and Kathie Jones and her husband, Ron, all of Blairsville; eight nieces and nephews; and a great-niece. There will be no visitation. Private services will be held in the RICHARD L. SHOEMAKER FUNERAL HOME, Blairsville, with Pastor Doug McCord officiating. Interment in Blairsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Four Footed Friends, Cornell Road, Blairsville, PA 15717.

Henrietta R. Cramer
Latrobe

Henrietta R. Cramer, 75, of Latrobe RD1, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at IHS of Greater Pittsburgh, Hempfield Township. She was born June 30, 1925, in Unity Township, a daughter of the late Samuel P. and Catherine (Kristofeck) Schmucker. She was a member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish, Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan H. Cramer; and a sister. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra L. Vargo at home; a son, Glenn W. Cramer and wife, Debra, of Ligonier; two grandchildren, Keith and Jennifer Cramer, both of Ligonier; and several nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the GAUT-BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., Pleasant Unity, Monday and will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Vincent Basilica, Latrobe, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.

Frank S. DiBernardo
Swissvale

Frank S. DiBernardo, of Swissvale, residing in Penn Township, suddenly, on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000. Mr. DiBernardo was born Feb. 19, 1925, in Pittsburgh, to the late John and Eva DiBernardo. He is the former husband of Jacqueline Lee. Loving Father of John DiBernardo and his wife, Sharon, Diane Anderson and her husband, Philip, and Christine Tappe and her husband, Charles III, all of Penn Township. Grandfather of Philip Jr., Jonathan, Paul, Sara, David, Zack, C.J., Tristan and Jacob. Brother of Maria Rosetti, Jack DiBernardo, Sister Joan of Arc "Peggy," and William DiBernardo, and the late James and Carl DiBarnardo. Frank was born and raised in Swissvale, and was educated at the University of Miami, Florida. He pursued a career as a civil engineer for U.S. Steel. Mr. DiBernardo was a Marine Corps veteran serving as a corporal in the Third Division Amphibious Tanks in World War II. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. WEDNESDAY ONLY IN the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME INC., 7441 Washington St., Swissvale. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Anselm Church. Interment in Braddock Catholic Cemetery, Braddock Hills. The family requests memorials to the American Lung Association.

Joseph DiRocco, of McKeesport, formerly of Munhall, on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000. Beloved husband of Virginia (DeMeo) DiRocco. Father of Anthony and wife, Mary Jo, of Munhall, Charles and wife, Cathy, of North Huntingdon, Eugene and wife, Jacqueline, of Atlanta, Ga., and Barbara and husband, Charles Banks, of Atlanta, Ga. Brother of Anthony of South Carolina, Elvira Abramowitz of Levittown, and the late Ann Kovacs. Grandfather of Charles Jr., Dominic, Michael, Jessica and Joseph. Mr. DiRocco was a retired car inspector with the B&O Railroad and a former bus driver for the West Mifflin school district; a veteran of the U.S. Navy/World War II, and a member of the American Legion Post 361, McKeesport and the G.B.U., Duquesne. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main St., Munhall. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Patrick Church, McKeesport. Entombment Jefferson Mausoleum, Pleasant Hills.

Donald William Dombrow Jr.,

Formerly of Jeannette and Franklin

Donald William "Bill" Dombrow Jr., 38, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Jeannette and Franklin, Pa., died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, in Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 13, 1961, in Jeannette, a son of Donald William Sr. and Bertha L. Link Dombrow of Fairfield Glade, Tenn. He was a U.S. Army veteran with nine years of service. He was a technician with his artistry in marble. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, August and Edith Dombrow; and his maternal grandparents, James Gordon and Bertha Ballinger Link. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children, August and Rachel Dombrow of Franklin, Pa.; two sisters , Susan Potts and her husband, Joseph, of Penn Township and Rebecca Troup and her husband, Daniel, of Greensburg; and a number of nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. Friends will be received at the LAWRENCE J. McCLURE FUNERAL HOME, 112 N. Second St., Jeannette, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dennis Macaleer officiating. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery.

Stefan Dubnansky
North Charleroi

Stefan "Sarge" Dubnansky, 84, of North Charleroi, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, in the Country Care Manor. He was born March 24, 1916, in Charleroi, the son of the late Stefan and Anna Kuba Dubnansky. He was a member of the Charleroi American Legion and VFW, and was Orthodox by faith. He retired after 30 years of service with the U.S. Army, serving in both the European and Asian Theaters. He is survived by a son and two daughters , Patricia Triscik of Charleroi, Steve Dubnansky and wife, Tillie, of Roscoe and Mary Lou Lonero and husband, Gary, of Garfield Heights, Ohio; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Henry (Margaret) Lancy of Fallowfield Township; and a brother, Edward Dubnansky of Fallowfield Township. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters , Emma Fedora and Magdalene Dubnansky; and three brothers , George, John and Bill Dubnansky. Friends will be received at the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES INC., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., with funeral services to be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Father Emil Hutnyan of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, officiating.

Margaret E. (Trout) Enders

Formerly of South Greensburg

Margaret E. (Trout) Enders, 94, of Annandale, Va., formerly of South Greensburg, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, in the Sleepy Hollow Nursing Home, Annandale. She was born Feb. 24, 1906, in Udell, a daughter of the late Henry and Mary Frances (Gramlich) Trout. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Annandale, and a former member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. "Bimp" Enders, in 1982; and a son, Paul Enders, in 1952. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Rose Cerva and her husband, Calvin H., of Annandale, Va. (with whom she has resided since 1983); three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dallas Trout of New Stanton. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. ONLY. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg, with the Rev. Blane L. Resko, O.S.B., as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Hempfield Township.

Donna Lea Groppe
Scottdale

Donna Lea Groppe, 61, of Fountain Mills Road, Scottdale, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, Sept. 17, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. Donna Lea was born May 19, 1939, in Charleroi, a daughter of Velma Lochinger Allen of Scottdale and the late Chris Lochinger. Donna Lea married William N. "Bill" Groppe on July 27, 1963. She was retired from Southmoreland School District after teaching and coaching for over 30 years. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Scottdale, and will be remembered for having co-founded the Greater Scottdale Girls Softball League. She was also a graduate of Scottdale High School and received her teaching degree from Penn State University. Donna Lea also enjoyed her weekly outing as a member of the Don-E-Gals Ladies Golf League. Donna Lea is survived by her husband of 37 years, William N. "Bill" Groppe; her mother , Velma Lochinger Allen of Scottdale; two sons , Chris Groppe and wife, Andrea, of Paoli and Curtis Groppe of Latrobe; a brother, Darl "Buck" Lochinger and wife, Joanna, of Scottdale; and two sisters , Kay Stahler and husband, James, of Dayton, Ohio and Carol Sirrianna and husband, James, of Seminole, Fla. Family and friends will be received at the ROBERT B. Jane T. Hansen
Monessen

Jane T. Hansen, 81, of Monessen, passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, in Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born in Greensburg, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Paar Turney. She was a graduate of Greensburg High School with the class of 1936 and had attended Robert Morris College and the University of Miami, Florida. She had been employed with the Hibbs Agency of Monessen prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Monessen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert Turney. She is survived by her husband, Paul G. Hansen; two daughters , Ellen Hansen Lear of Donora and Paula Hansen of Monessen; and a granddaughter, Julia Lear of Tampa, Fla. Friends will be received at the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., A Golden Rule Funeral Home, 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with funeral services to be held in the chapel of the funeral home Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas Senge officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
