George A. Caldwell, 60, of New Florence RD1, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at UPMC Lee Regional. Born June 30, 1940, in Bolivar, a son of the late James H. and E. Frances (Krouse) Caldwell. Also preceded in death by brother, Dallas Caldwell. Survived by wife, the former Mary Ann Chesla; a son, George B. of New Florence RD1; a daughter, Carol of Woodbridge, Va.; and two brothers , James and Lewis, both of New Florence RD1. He was a retired employee of Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown works, mechanical department. Friends will be received Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the KENNETH A. STUART FUNERAL HOME, New Florence, where service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bonnie King officiating. Interment Fairfield Cemetery.

Carole Louise Cocain, 63, of Scottdale RD1, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at her home. She was born Aug. 21, 1937, in Greensburg, a daughter of Alberta Braun Cocain of Scottdale RD1 and the late Robert V. Cocain, who died in 1980. She was a secretary for the Senior Tigers of Connellsville. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Scottdale, the Connellsville Tigers Senior Center and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #562 of Scottdale, where she was Past Matron. In addition to her mother , she is survived by two brothers , Henry T. Cocain and his wife, Kathleen, of Sharpsville and Robert V. Cocain of Ventura, Calif. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the MURPHY-CARUSO MEMORIAL HOME, 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, where services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Andrew F. Dougherty III officiating. Interment in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. The family suggests contributions be made to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Scottdale in memory of Carole Cocain. The Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #562 will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Henrietta R. Cramer, 75, of Latrobe RD1, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at IHS of Greater Pittsburgh, Hempfield Township. She was born June 30, 1925, in Unity Township, a daughter of the late Samuel P. and Catherine (Kristofeck) Schmucker. She was a member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish, Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan H. Cramer; and a sister. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra L. Vargo at home; a son, Glenn W. Cramer and wife, Debra, of Ligonier; two grandchildren, Keith and Jennifer Cramer, both of Ligonier; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the GAUT-BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., Pleasant Unity, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Vincent Basilica, Latrobe, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.

Ralph DeCarlucci Jr., 62, of Mt. Lebanon, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, in Forbes Hospice. Born July 4, 1938 in Uniontown, Pa., he was the son of the late Columba Russo and Ralph DeCarlucci Sr. He worked as barber, hairstylist and manager for Masculine Manor in Scott for 27 years. Ralph was a 39 year resident of Mt. Lebanon and a member of St. Bernard Church, Mt. Lebanon, where he was a former of usher. He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Shallenberger DeCarlucci; four sons , R. Matthew DeCarlucci of Burlington, Mass., Stephen L. DeCarlucci of Dormont, Mark E. DeCarlucci of Greensburg and David A. DeCarlucci of Brookline; three sisters , Ponsella Ewing and Rita DeCarlucci of Uniontown, Pa. and Joann Blocher of Arnold, Md.; and five grandchildren. There will be no visitation. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Bernard Church, Mt. Lebanon with the Rev. James Torquatto as celebrant. Interment will be in the mausoleum at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the mausoleum following services. Anthony M. Godlewski, 82, of Grapeville, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, in the IHS of Greater Pittsburgh at Greensburg. He was born June 13, 1918, in Jeannette, a son of the late Hipolit and Annastazia Bartoszek Godlewski. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the former General Tire of Jeannette. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church of Jeannette and the church's Holy Name Society. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara M. Hartung Godlewski, in 1999; and three brothers , Leonard, Walter and Bernard Godlewski. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette, beginning Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Church. Mr. Hilger was a retired sign painter for Joseph Horne Co. Survivors include two sons , Milton A. Hilger of Baltimore and Albert L. Hilger of New Haven, Conn.; a daughter, JoEllen Duckett of West View; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Bronakoski Hilger; a son, William J. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert E. English, William Blair English, Evelyn Hartman and Lynn R. English. Former captain of the U.S. Army, and a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, with a BASE Degree. Son of Margaret (Novacek) Kabo and the late John Patrick Kabo; husband of Patricia Ann (Novak) Kabo of West Mifflin; Father of Sharon Bich of West Mifflin, Jean Bujdos of Munhall, and John Kabo of Heath, Ohio; brother of Jacqueline Zugar, Barbara Roussel, Dr. Robert Kabo, Gerald and James Kabo; grandfather of Andrew Bich, Amanda Bich, Katie Bujdos, and Tyler Kabo. Joseph S. Kuzniewski, 76, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Feb. 1, 1924, in Glassport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen Kwiatowski Kuzniewski. Mr. Kuzniewski was an investigator for the Allegheny County Controllers Office, retiring in 1988. He was an Army veteran of World War II, past Commander of the Disabled American Veterans, a member of the Hampton American Legion and a member of St. Catherine of Sweden Catholic Church in the Wildwood Section of Hampton. He was a member of the church's Ministry of Consolation, Ushers Club, St. Vincent DePaul, Knights of Columbus, St. Catherine of Sweden Council 10411 and Queen of Angels General Assembly 2191. Survivors include his wife, Elsie R. Sollberger Kuzniewski; four daughters , Mildred Rankin of Australia, Patricia Schneider of Bellevue, Judy Kuzniewski of Indiana, Pa., and Jane Cochran of Alfred, N.Y.; a son, Vincent Kuzniewski of Seven Fields; two sisters , Eleanor Kuzniewski of Emsworth and Marie Brott of Knoxville, Tenn.; two brothers , Harry Kuzniewski of Emsworth and Arthur Kuzniewski of Nevada; and five grandchildren. Mabel J. McIntyre, 92, died on Friday, September 15, 2000, in UPMC St. Margaret. Born March 14, 1908, in Homestead, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Amelia (Davis) Campbell. Mrs. McIntyre was a 50-year resident of O'Hara Township. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Acmetonia. Survivors include a niece, Betty Jane Humphrey of Florida; and a nephew, James L. McIntyre of Mercer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. William R. Metro, 72, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, in the Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. He was born July 7, 1928, in Braddock, a son of the late Albert and Helen Kraly Metro. He was a retired pump operator for U.S. Steel, Edgar Thomson Works, Braddock; a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church of North Huntingdon; and a veteran of the
Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ternoway Metro; three children, Robert Paul Metro of Downingtown, Mary Theresa and her husband, Regis Franko, of Harrison City and David William Metro of North Dakota; three grandchildren, Gregory, Vanessa and Christopher Franko; two sisters , Jackie Kaminsky of Swissvale and Roberta Nucci of Penn Hills; and a brother, Albert Metro of Fairfax, Va.
