William Frank Larimer

William "Bill" Frank Larimer, 50, of Chapel Hill, N.C., died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, at UNC Hospitals as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident in North Carolina. He was born in Greensburg, the son of Luella Harold Larimer of Jeannette and the late William Reed Larimer. He was a 1968 graduate of Hempfield High School and went on to receive his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and his J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After law school he worked as an associate with Winston, Coleman and Bernholtz, and later as a partner in Winston, Blue, Larimer and Rocks. From 1982 to 1997, he was a supervising attorney in the Criminal Law Clinic at the University of North Carolina School of Law. He was a member of the N.C. State Bar and the American Bar Association. In addition to his mother , he is survived by a sister, Virginia Ann Hohn and her husband, Robert G., of Irwin; loving best friend, Ann Howard of Chapel Hill, N.C.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends and family will be received at the Grace United Church of Christ Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a memorial service with Dr. Robert W. Jobe officiating. Regina Jankowski Lis, 79, of Braddock, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, in UPMC Braddock. She was born Jan. 8, 1921, in Braddock, and was the daughter of the late Ludwik and Theodora Warda Jankowski. She was the wife of Michael S. Lis; and mother of Michael Lis and wife, Barbara, and Barbara Jean Riddle and husband, John. Also survived by five grandchildren, Karianne E. Lis, Michael E. Lis, Matthew J. Riddle, Lt. Justin A. and wife, Penny Lynn Riddle, and Brian K. Riddle. Friends will be received from noon to 9 p.m. Friday in the RONALD V. LUCAS FUNERAL HOME, corner of Bell and Jones avenues, North Braddock, (412) 271-1361. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow in the Braddock Catholic Cemetery.

Eva Mae (Martin) Lysell, 77, of Monroeville, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000. She was the wife of the late Harry K. Lysell; dear mother of Carolyn Shoplik of Fox Chapel, Kevin L. Lysell of Export and Harry M. Lysell of Monroeville; and sister of Earl S. Martin of Davidsonville, Md. She was also survived by seven grandchildren. Eva Mae was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Monroeville. John Meier Jr., 64, of Export, died suddenly Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000. He was born Sept. 11, 1936, in Newlonsburg, a son of the late John Sr. and Edith Ankney Meier. John was a member of St. Mary's Church, and was a former employee of Meier Hardware, both of Export. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters , Katherine Meier and Florence "Flossy" Kirkland; and a brother, Theodore "Ted" Meier. Surviving are two sisters , Evelyn Hartland of Delmont and Mary Pees of Hummelstown, Pa.; a brother, Jack Meier of Murrysville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the EDWIN N. WOLFE FUNERAL HOME INC., Export. Edward G. Onderick, of Forest Hills, on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, in UPMC Montefiore, Oakland. Mr. Onderick was born Feb. 27, 1917, in Braddock, to the late George and Anna Onderick. Mr. Onderick was a retired cost accountant for U.S. Steel and a member of the St. Maurice Church in Forest Hills. He was the beloved husband of Josephine Onderick and the late Clara Gosik Onderick; beloved Father of Edward Onderick and his wife, Catherine, of Indiana, Pa., Kenneth J. Onderick and his wife, Donna M., of Wilkins Township and Ronald G. Onderick and his wife, Rita M., of Harrison City; and grandfather of Brian, Michael, Chip and Ronald. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME INC., 7441 Washington St., Swissvale. Wendell Orosz, 83, of Export, passed away Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, at the Beverly Health Care Center, Murrysville. He was born Oct. 17, 1916 in East Chicago, Ind., a son of the late John and Rose (Tarr) Orosz. Wendell was a retired machinist, having worked for Westinghouse, East Pittsburgh. He was a Master Mason of Forbes Trail Lodge F&AM #783, and was a former member of the Association of Artists. He was a member of the Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, Murrysville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers , John and Alex Orosz. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Hazel (Siesky) Orosz; three sons , Wendell and his wife, Sandy, of Exton, Gary and his wife, Vicki, of Murrysville and Gerald of Akron, Ohio; a daughter, Sherry Smith and her husband, Donald, of Ligonier; two sisters , Irma Kozma of Washington , D.C. and Irene Mowers of Uniontown; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Private viewing and funeral service were held at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC. AT TWIN VALLEY, 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, (724) 468-1177, with the Rev. Marion N. Victor Petri, 88, of Irwin (Herminie #2), died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, at the Integrated Health Services, Greensburg facility. He was born Feb. 12, 1912, in Herminie #2, a son of the late Anthony Sr. and Frances (Danavich) Petri. Mr. Petri was a graduate of the Sewickley Township High School class of 1930. Prior to retirement, he was employed at Robertshaw Controls, Youngwood, with 32 years of service. He also served as pastor-minister at various local churches for many years, until his retirement in April 1972. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Victor Carlton Petri; and an infant sister, Mary Petri. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Olada "Skip" (Blackwell) Petri; two daughters , Mrs. Vicki Lavella and her husband, Dave, of Irwin and Bonnie Petri at home; three grandchildren, Jim and Mike Lavella and Dana Richards; two great-grandchildren, Avery Lavella and Kayla Richards; a brother, Anthony "Shack" and his wife, Nettie Petri, of Devine, Texas ; a sister, Christina Kleid of Kentucky; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends were received in the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Herminie, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Roy Allison officiating. Frank H. Reiter, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000 at 2 a.m. in Ohio Valley General Hospital with his beloved wife, Myrtle (Petri) Reiter of 60 years at his side. Frank was born on Oct. 24, 1916 in McKees Rocks. He was the Father of Judie (David) Booth of Upper St. Clair; brother of Marie C. and Edward Reiter, and the late Margaret and Robert Reiter; grandfather of David Booth II of Pittsburgh and Darren Booth of Falls Church, Va. He was an employee of Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad for 42 years. Family to receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1225 Chartiers Avenue, McKees Rocks, (Family owned and operated since 1886.) Robert Jay Resslar, 41, of Blairsville RD3, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, in his residence. He was born Dec. 21, 1958, in Latrobe, a son of Adam and Eleanor Gefrovich Resslar of New Alexandria. He was employed by Riverview Homes for 22 years and was a graduate of Derry Area High School, Class of 1977. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of New Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Sara Jane Resslar; and maternal grandparents, John and Mary Gefrovich. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children, Andrea and Aaron of Blairsville; the following brothers and sister: Adam M. Resslar Jr. and wife, Lisa, Debra Resslar and husband, Tim Glotfelty, and Leonard Resslar, all of New Alexandria, and Richard Resslar and wife, Lorrie, of Latrobe; along with six nieces, a nephew and a great-niece. Bob was a loving, kind, and devoted son, Father and brother. He will be missed deeply by all who loved him. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the P. Roy J. "Posey" Sadler Sr., 60, of Claridge, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 22, 1939, in Jeannette, a son of Mary Franklin Sadler of Claridge and the late Edward Sadler Jr. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for more than 30 years as a pipe fitter for the Elliott Co. in Jeannette. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Bushy Run American Legion Post 260 in Claridge and was the commander from 1994 to 1995. He was a member of the APA Pool League, the Claridge Volunteer Fire Department Station No. 63 and the Easy Cruisers Classic Car Club. In addition to his mother , he is survived by his mother -in-law, Mom Rudick; his wife of 36 years, Carol Rudick Sadler; two sons , Roy J. Sadler Jr. and wife, Misi, and John Sadler and wife, Sabrina, both of Claridge; a daughter, Sandra Schollaert and husband, Erik, of New Alexandria; a brother, Edward R. Sadler of Claridge; six grandchildren, John Albert, Abrianna, Ryan, Ricky, Jesse and Alexis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JAMES E.
