Arlene Hope (Kwall) Mogerman, 62, of Delmont, passed away at her home, Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000. She was born in Pittsburgh. Preceded in death by her parents, Irwin Kwall and Evelyn (Wolf) Kwall. Survived by her daughter, Jan (Mogerman) Baka and her husband, Michael, of Munhall; her son, Mark and his wife, Barbara Mogerman, of Plantation, Fla.; a brother, Jay Kwall of Charlotte, N.C.; two grandchildren, Jaime and her husband, Donald Rosak, of McKeesport and Grant Mogerman of Florida; and a great-grandson, Donald Rosak III. She was employed as a nursing assistant with the Alterra Clare Bridge Nursing Home. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. MONDAY ONLY at the JOHN L. Jessie I. Opsitnick, 87, of Jeannette, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Jan. 9, 1913, in Harrison City, a daughter of the late John Martin and Minnie Mabel Long Neleigh. Prior to retirement, she was employed by the General Tire and Rubber Co. She was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ and the AARP, both of Jeannette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Opsitnick; and two sisters , Lillian Brown and Mary Neleigh. She is survived by two sisters , Gladys Tanyer and Mabel Kramer, both of Jeannette; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Dr. Robert W. Jobe officiating. (Terry) Panza and Michael J. (Barbara) Panza. Grandmother of Mark T. (Calee) Panza, Robert S., David B. and Matthew M. Panza. Mrs. Ruber was a homemaker. Survivors include nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand Ruber; one brother and seven sisters . A. Fay Sarver, 66, of Greensburg RD7, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at her residence. She was born Dec. 6, 1933, in Scottdale, a daughter of the late Allen G. Shuey Sr. and Sara E. Miller Shuey. She was a registered nurse formerly working for Dr. Lawrence Blackburn, and Westmoreland and Latrobe hospitals; and was a graduate of the Westmoreland Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Wesley Clair Sarver; a sister, Sally D. Schnupp; and a brother, Allen G. Shuey Jr. Surviving are her loving husband, David W. Sarver Jr.; children, David W. Sarver IV and his wife, Sandy, of Greensburg, and Rebecca S. Manning and her husband, Paul, of Greensburg; brothers , Paul Shuey and wife, Ginger, of Utah, and Ira C. Shuey and wife, Kathy, of Jeannette; sisters , Vera M. Shuey of Greensburg, Beverly A. Sarver and her husband, Ronald, of Ligonier and Lorraine J. Shuey of Saltsburg; and three grandchildren, Audra Claire Patterson, David W. Sarver V and Daniel Brooks Sarver. Mary Oravetz Shander, 93, formerly of Southwest (Hecla) and Greensburg, went to her eternal rest Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at the HCR ManorCare in McMurray. Mary was born Aug. 16, 1907, in Mt. Pleasant Township, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Kesock Oravetz. She was a member of the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Greensburg and also a member of the St. Nicholas Rosary Society and St. Mary's of Trauger Rosary Society. Her memories will be cherished by her family; a brother, Matthew Oravetz of Norfolk, Va.; two nephews, Bob Oravetz of McMurray, with whom she made her home for the past 10 years, and Michael Oravetz of Mt. Pleasant; and two nieces, Mary Ellen Oravetz of Norfolk, Va., and Anna Mary Brackenridge of Baton Rouge, La. She is also survived by seven great-nieces and -nephews and four great-great-nieces and -nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Shander, on June 7, 1975; and two brothers , Steve Oravetz, on Dec. 15, 1972, and Demetrius Oravetz, on March 3, 1989. Kathy A. (Prisani) Smith, 52, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born April 26, 1948, in Greensburg, a daughter of Mary Zyvith Prisani of Bovard and the late Santy Prisani, who died in 1963. She had been employed by St. Anne Home, Greensburg, for 18 years. In addition to her Father , she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Robert John Soles; and her mother - and Father -in-law, Albert E. "Red" and Barbara G. Smith. In addition to her mother , she is survived by her husband, John H. Smith; two sisters , Denise Soles of Greensburg and Bernadette Mowen of Bovard; several nieces and nephews; and her companion dog, Brandie. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. Mildred Funk Temple, 85, of Country Meadows, Mechanicsburg, formerly of Dunedin, Fla., and Greensburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. She was a retired teacher with the Hempfield Area School District, Greensburg; a member of The Kirk of Dunedin, a non-denominational church, and a former member of the Third United Church of Christ, Greensburg. Surviving are her husband, William G. Temple of Country Meadows, Mechanicsburg; a son, William C. Temple and his wife, Dilly, of Latrobe; two daughters , Joanne Shirey and her husband, Michael, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Lynne Mahood and her husband, Jeff, of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Marea Bell of North Versailles; and seven grandchildren, Melissa Temple, Gerome Temple, Stacey Shirey Thompson, Scott Shirey, Lindsey Mahood, Kevin Mahood and Renee Stouffer.
