Robert P. Stitt, 56, of East McKeesport, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, in McKeesport Hospital. He was born June 8, 1944, in Wilkinsburg, a son of Robert Stitt of North Versailles and the late Ruth Cunningham Stitt. He was a retired employee of East Allegheny School District. In addition to his Father , he is survived by his wife, Elizabeth E. "Sis" Byron Stitt; a son, David Manion; and a daughter, Rachael Manion, both of Irwin; three sisters , Carol Kane of North Versailles, Marlene K. Povanda of North Braddock and Janeann Kauffman of Nevada; two brothers , Norman J. Stitt of Illinois and Christopher Stitt of North Versailles; also aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the FORGIE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Wayne M. Bell officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles.

Gail Sinnamond Swettlen
Southwest Greensburg

Gail Sinnamond Swettlen, 43, of Southwest Greensburg, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, at her residence. She was born Nov. 25, 1956, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late James and Marian Hamm Lawton. She is survived by her four children, Jessica Sinnamond, James Swettlen, Karl J. Swettlen and Matthew Swettlen, all of Greensburg. There will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Abundant Life Assembly of God, West Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, with the Rev. Frank Lewis and the Rev. Margaret Hackey co-officiating. Interment in St. Clair Cemetery. KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., Greensburg, in charge of arrangements.

Paul Ziros
Ligonier,

Formerly of North Huntingdon

Paul Ziros, 91, of Ligonier, formerly of North Huntingdon, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, in the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie Mae Bell and her husband, David. He was born Aug. 30, 1909 in Czechoslovakia, a son of the late Paul and Mary Vargo Ziros. He was a retired employee of Westinghouse Electric Corp., East Pittsburgh. He was a member of Unity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manor; the United Lutheran Society; the National Slovak Society; and the Westmoreland City Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Selchan Ziros. In addition to his daughter and son-in-law with whom he resided, he is survived by a daughter, Helen Dolores Roumillat and her husband, James, of Boerne, Texas ; four grandchildren, Randy Roumillat, Kenneth Roumillat, Jennifer Bell and Stephanie Larson; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Sapp of North Huntingdon; two brothers , Alex Ziros of Ohio and Andy Ziros of California; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Norman E. Nething officiating. Interment will be in Irwin Union Cemetery.

Jean L. Bossart, 68, of Monroeville, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. She was the beloved wife of Clayton J.; mother of Steven J. (Gail), Susan K. Stoddard (Randall), David J., Diane L. Ferchak, Ann M. Loperfito (Donald) and Cathy L. Altmeyer (Thomas); sister of Carol Nelson and Thomas Seiberlich. Also survived by nine grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in GENE H. CORL INC. FUNERAL CENTER OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Bernadette Church, Monroeville. Interment in Good Shepherd Cemetery. Mary Irene Byers, 67, of Scottdale, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the MURPHY-CARUSO MEMORIAL HOME, 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, where services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. James P. Cordell officiating. Interment in Olive Branch Cemetery, Smithton.

Michael A. Coco
Deerfield Beach, Fla.,
Formerly of Fox Chapel and O'Hara Township

Michael A. Coco, 86, a resident of Deerfield Beach, Fla., for 25 years, formerly of Fox Chapel and O'Hara Township, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, while vacationing with family in Lancaster, Pa. Born Nov. 30, 1913, in Windber, he was a son of the late Sam and Lena Cammarata Coca. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Josephine C. Coco. The founder and former chairman/CEO of Coco Bros. Inc., Mr. Coca was widely known and respected as a leader in the western Pennsylvania construction industry. He was a board member and served on the National Legislative Committee of the Associated General Contractors of America. A past president of the Pittsburgh Builders Exchange, he was a member of the board of directors of the Master Builders Association of Western Pennsylvania . Mr. Coco also served as chairman of the Western Pennsylvania Legislative Council of Construction Employers and as chairman of the Construction Advancement Program Legislative Committee. He was a member of the Greater Pittsburgh Board of Realtors. A longtime member of the Aspinwall-Fox Chapel Area Kiwanis Club, Mr. Coco served as Pennsylvania District Governor in 1968, heading more than 230 clubs throughout the commonwealth during the district's "Golden Anniversary" year. A charter member of Churchill Valley Country Club, Pittsburgh, he recently served as adviser to the board of directors of Hillsboro Pines Golf Club, Deerfield Beach, and was instrumental in forming the club's charter. Mr. Coco was also an arbitrator for NASD. He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Deerfield Beach, Fla., and a former member of St. Edward Roman Catholic Church, Blawnox. In addition to his wife, Mr. Coco is survived by three daughters , Margaret M. Maguire of Delran, N.J., Patricia A. Latshaw, wife of Ward P. Latshaw III, of Lancaster and Janice C. Groft, wife of Randy L. Groft, of Lititz. Mr. Coca was preceded in death by two daughters , Lena Baleno, wife of the late Angelo Baleno, and Dolores McGreevy, wife of Daniel J. McGreevy. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by three brothers , Samuel Coco, Angelo Coco and John F. Coco, all of Pittsburgh, and a sister, Mary Mastromatteo, also of Pittsburgh, and the late Carmel, Joseph and Paul Coco. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. FRIDAY ONLY at the THOMAS M. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 930 Center Ave., Blawnox, where prayers will be said Saturday morning at 9:30, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edward Church, Blawnox, at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Pittsburgh.

Margaret A. "Peg" (Vaughan) Cornelius Cook, 82, of Pitcairn, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000. Wife of the late William Edward Cornelius and Milton A. Cook; mother of Douglas V. (wife, Arlie) Cornelius of Pittsburgh, V. Dianne Cornelius of Export, Thomas E. (wife, Debra) Cornelius of Gibsonia and the late William Thomas Cornelius; sister of Virginia R. Naser of Pitcairn; and grandmother of Kelly Lynn Cornelius of Florida. Friends received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the WM. O. Jacquelyn L. Fedornak Coffman

Jacquelyn L. Fedornak Coffman, 59, of Irwin, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, at home. Born Sept. 17, 1940, in Greensburg, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Gertrude Little Kozinko. She was a member of the First Evangelical Free Church, McKeesport. For 23 years, she had been employed by Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers , James and Gary Kozinko. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Coffman; four children, Cherie Ramaley and husband, Martin, of Derry, Michelle Polansky and husband, Tom, of Irwin, Mark Fedornak of Forbes Road and Marcia Cannillo and husband, Ron, of Greensburg; a stepdaughter, Tiffany Coffman of North Versailles; two grandchildren, Lindsey Vought and Jared Polansky; a sister-in-law, Faye Kozinko of Luxor; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends received at the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Erma C. Davis, 91, of Hunker RD1, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Oct. 15, 1908, in Akersville, Pa., a daughter of the late Rev. Benjamin A. and Virgie Hixson DuVall. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth F. Davis, in 1997; a daughter, Bethelda Davis, in 1960; and two brothers , Dale and Hoover DuVall. She is survived by five children, Mrs. Victor (Maridell) Detwiler of Hunker, Mrs. Robert (Marden) Ankney of Latrobe, the Rev. Meredith Davis of Macungie, Pa., Jane Davis of Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. William (Faith) Zierdt of Orange City, Fla.; seven grandchildren; four stepgranddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; and three brothers , Harold DuVall and wife, Maxine, of Columbiana, Ohio, Nile DuVall and wife, Alice, of Ozark, Ark., and Dean DuVall and wife, Doris, of New Waterford, Ohio. She was active in many ministries with the Armbrust Wesleyan Church. She organized the Women's Auxiliary in the 1950s and was the oldest member of the church. Friends will be received at the C. RICHARD McCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., Youngwood, from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Additional viewing at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Armbrust Wesleyan Church with the service to follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joe Payne and the Rev. Byron Eisaman co-officiating. Interment to follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Trauger. Family suggests memorial contributions to the Armbrust Wesleyan Church.

Ruth Mae Dillinger
Bullskin Township

Ruth Mae Dillinger, 79, of Bullskin Township, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, in the Scottdale Manor, Scottdale. She was born May 31, 1921, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late George and Florence Fisher Hartge. Ruth was a longtime resident of Bullskin Township and was a graduate of the former Hurst High School in Mt. Pleasant Township. She was employed by the Green Thumb Agency at the Bullskin Township Senior Citizens Center. She was a member of the Paradise United Methodist Church in Bullskin Township. She is survived by a son, George H. Dillinger of Connellsville RD2; a daughter, Audrey Eutsey and her husband, Gilbert, of Dawson; five grandchildren, Kimberly Tacconi, Michael Eutsey, Andrea Dillinger, William Dillinger and Georgeanne Dillinger; a great-granddaughter, Haylie Eutsey; and two sisters , Catherine Overly of Mt. Pleasant and Gladys Franks of Peoria, Ariz. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William A. Dillinger, in 1991; a granddaughter, Lisa Dillinger; and a brother, Henry Hartge. Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Doug Burns officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
