She is survived by her husband, Andrew J. (Bo) Bobik Sr.; four sons , Andrew J. Bobik Jr., Paul Bobik and his wife, Kelly, Thomas Bobik and his wife, Ann, and Daniel Bobik; three daughters , Ann Bednar and her husband, Al, Amy Bobik and Mary Bobik; grandchildren, April and Andrew III Bobik, Heather and Kayla Laugherty, Zach and Tyler Bobik, Thomas Jr., and Mary Bobik, and Bridgett Ann Bednar; nieces and nephews; her mother , Eileen Holler; her brothers , Regis, Larry and Jerry Holler; her sisters , Karen Buchner and Jean Holler. Stoddard (Randall), David J., Diane L. Ferchak, Ann M. Loperfito (Donald) and Cathy L. Altmeyer (Thomas); sister of Carol Nelson and Thomas Seiberlich. Also survived by nine grandchildren. Thomas R. Bubash, 83, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, in UPMC St. Margaret, Pittsburgh. Born August 10, 1917 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Thomas and Ann Herbolich Bubash. Mr. Bubash was a retired truck driver for the Pittsburgh Brewing Co. Survivors include his wife, Roberta E. Powers Bubash; a daughter, Arlene Erdeljac of Greenville, S.C.; two sons , Thomas Bubash Jr. of Allison Park and Gary W. Bubash of Sarver; two brothers , Nicklas Bubash of Shaler and Matthew Bubash of Etna; eight grandchildren, Sandra Parsons, Michael Erdeljac, David Erdeljac, Amy Scott, Kathleen Bubash, Adam Bubash, Kim Bubash and Nick Bubash; and four great-grandchildren, Cory, Eddie, Cheyann and Elizabeth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters , Mary Utis and Kate Matulovic; and two brothers , Frank and Joseph Bubash. Mary Irene Byers, 67, of Scottdale, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born April 23, 1933, in Morgantown, W.Va., a daughter of the late Alva and Edna Slaughter Byers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Scottdale. Ms. Byers had been an employee of Westmoreland Manor prior to her retirement. She is survived by her loving family; a son, Richard J. Byers and his wife, Lou Ann, of Greensburg; two sisters , Alice Smith of Ruffsdale and Ethel Keller and her husband, Victor, of Old Bethany, Pa.; her grandchildren, Dawn Walker and Devyn Byers; and great-granddaughter, Jordyn Walker. Jacqueline L. Fedornak Coffman, 59, of Irwin, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, at home. Born Sept. 17, 1940, in Greensburg, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Gertrude Little Kozinko. She was a member of the First Evangelical Free Church, McKeesport. For 23 years, she had been employed by Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers , James and Gary Kozinko. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Coffman; four children, Cherie Ramaley and husband, Martin, of Derry, Michelle Polansky and husband, Tom, of Irwin, Mark Fedornak of Forbes Road and Marcia Cannillo and husband, Ron, of Greensburg; a stepdaughter, Tiffany Coffman of North Versailles; two grandchildren, Lindsey Vought and Jared Polansky; a sister-in-law, Faye Kozinko of Luxor; and several nieces and nephews. Hannah E. Connors, 90, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000 in Florida. Mrs. Connors was a graduate of what then was Slippery Rock College. She was a teacher, first in Stowe Township. Later, she was the first kindergarten teacher in Mars. Survivors include her husband, John M. Connors; one daughter, Jacqueline Connors of Cherry Hill, N.J.; three sons , John H. Connors of McKees Rocks, Dennis B. Connors of Jacksonville, Fla. and Kevin M. Connors of Mars; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Donald H. Eaton

Donald H. Eaton, 76, of Oakmont, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000. He served as mayor of Oakmont for 22 years. Prior to retirement in 1990, he was co-owner of Eaton Motors in Oakmont for 49 years. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Born in Lost Creek, W.Va., in 1923, he was a son of the late John and Georgia Eaton. He was also predeceased by a brother, Jack R. Eaton. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Lois Nicholas Eaton; three daughters , Mrs. Joseph (Paula) Dorma of Cortland, Ohio, Mrs. Daniel (Pamela) Newsom of Cheswick and Mrs. William (Dawn) DeTillo of Allison Park; two brothers , James P. Eaton of Plum and E. Neal Eaton of Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters , Mary Lou Berg of Grove City, Ohio, and Martha Lee Collins of Auburn, N.H.; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was a member of the Oakmont Presbyterian Church, Oakmont Lions Club, Verona F&AM #548 Pa. Consistory, Syria Shrine, Oakmont Elks, Oakmont Yacht Club, Alcoma Golf Club, Pennsylvania Mayors Association, and member of the Horseless Carriage Club of America, Pittsburgh Region, where he served as president and board member. John C. Fannan

John C. Fannan, 72, of Bethlehem, Pa., died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, at his home. He was born Oct. 29, 1927, in Greensburg, the son of the late John and Ruth (Clark) Fannan. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem, and was a weather observer for the Army Air Corps during World War II. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in industrial engineering, and in 1963 he graduated from St. Francis College, Loretto, Pa., with a master of arts degree in industrial relations. He was a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania ; was a senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, and a member of the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers and the National Society of Professional Engineers. Mr. Fannan worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 34 years before retiring as chief industrial engineer in the steel operations department. After retirement, he worked as a management consultant in industrial engineering and labor relations for the former Inland Steel, Griffith, Ind. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy (Metzger) Fannan; two sons , John R. Fannan of Wilmington, Del., and William M. Fannan of Orchard Park, N.Y.; two daughters , Amy L. Einstein and husband, Samuel, of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Becky Jo Sheckler and husband, Clair, of Bethlehem, Pa.; two sisters , Margaret Monk of Florida and Martha Williamson of West Virginia; and seven grandchildren. Private services will be conducted Saturday at the convenience of the family. Interment in First Presbyterian Memorial Garden, Bethlehem, Pa. Genevieve C. Daugherty Freyer, 71, of Irwin, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, in the Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was born March 24, 1929, in Martin, a daughter of the late James and Florence Rock Daugherty. She was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Irwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Freyer. Surviving are five sons , Charles of West Mifflin, Robert of North Huntingdon, Edward and Dale, both of Elizabeth, and Walter of Virginia; three daughters , Joyce Scharer of Greensburg, Linda Rothbauer and Debrah Candelore, both of Elizabeth; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters , Rose Marie Martinez of McKeesport and Edna Martinez of Chicago, Ill. Margaret A. Griffin, 80, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, in her home. Born March 27, 1920 in New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Hermina Ronay Sabo. Mrs. Griffin was a retired secretary for the Internal Revenue Service. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Reserve. Survivors include her husband, John J. "Dee Dee" Griffin; three sons , John C. Griffin and his wife, Debbie, of Ross, James P. Griffin and his wife, Bernie, of Hampton and Thomas P. Griffin of Reserve; a daughter, Lynn M. Griffin and her husband, Jim Gergich, of Brighton Heights; a sister, Katherine Bassford of White hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane "Sissy" Griffin. George W. Hoffer Sr., 70, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at his home. He was born June 18, 1930, in Latrobe, a son of the late John and Amanda Price Hoffer. He was a devoted husband and Father who was loved and admired so much. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Youngstown, Pa., and was retired from Conrail with 47 years of service. He was a lifelong founding and active member of the Baggaley Volunteer Fire Department for 51 years. He served three years with the U.S. Army Reserve during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Frontier Club, Latrobe; the Derry Rod & Gun Club, the Latrobe Senior Citizens Center, Local 1537 Retirees Club, President of B.M.W.E. Local 3008, Derry, and the Westmoreland County Fire Chiefs Association. He was also involved for many years with the Boy Scouts. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers , John and Ronald Hoffer. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Dorothy Reed Hoffer; four sons , George W. Hoffer Jr. and his fiancee, Wendy Wadsworth, of Latrobe, James W. Hoffer and his wife, Wendy, of Latrobe, Arnold F. Hoffer of Loyalhanna and Robert D. Hoffer and his fiancee, Patricia Leach, of Latrobe; twin daughters , Joan M. Hoffer at home (who gratefully took care of her Dad) and Jane C. Shafran and her husband, Jeff, of Latrobe; a daughter-in-law, Mary Hoffer of Latrobe; two brothers , Robert Hoffer of Whitney and Paul Hoffer and his wife, Mariann, of Brunswick, Ohio; and two sisters , Harriet Reed of Hannastown and Alice Bailey of Pittsburgh. Also survived by six grandchildren, Jennifer Keough, Georgie Hoffer III, Jeffrey and Asa Shafran and Amber and Rachel Hoffer; four stepgrandchildren, Jason Wadsworth and Terri, Megan and Brandon Simms; an aunt, Edna Price of Latrobe; a nephew, Donald Reed at home; and a number of other nephews, nieces, and cousins.
